Used 2008 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Diesel Consumer Reviews
piece of crap
tank god I bought the extended warranty otherwise I would be broke for sure. intake manifold 3500.00. then the turbo, transfer case, intake censor, particulant filter etc, 10k, fuel system, tires1200.00 every two years. 600.00+ for any routine service, new battery over 500.00, triple AAA wont touch a Mercedes, I bought this vehicle thinking it would e the very best ever. its apiece of junk. the Mercedes emblem on the rims wore off 3 years ago- piece of junk. I am shocked at a Mercedes vehicle. never again in my life and I m 50.
Really solid vehicle that gave 7 years hassle free
Great, solid reliable car until it hit 7 years then we had a few issues with fuel system and seat restraint. Drivetrain super solid and deisel was giving 22 mpg which is pretty good for a 4-ton tank. Overall thoroughly enjoyed the car, trading-in in 1 week and the only reason I'm not getting Mercedes again is the local dealership that just gouges terribly on price.

The best ever!
What an unbelievable vehicle. I've always thougt the '91 Vette was the nicest car I have ever owned. The ML 320 CDI is now number 1. With all the concern about economy and emissions, it seems diesel is better than hybrid and E85, so I wanted a diesel. This car has far surpassed my expectations. I have never found driving more exciting, and I'm still learning about all the little gadgets and conveniences. I leased this one for 33 months, but expect to buy next time.
Impressive diesel SUV!
Very surprised how well this diesel SUV handles. Extremely comfortable on the highway. Backing off a few mph significantly increases fuel mileage and can exceed sticker.
This is not a real Mercedes a Chrysler of the 80s
When your long term trusting mechanic tells you “need” to get rid of the vehicle you just bought for for 29,000 thousand and has less than 45K miles should have “red flagged” me for the pain I was about to receive. By far the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned in my entire life. When the bills for repairs of the turbo, intake valve problems, transmission, Blu Tec and tail light problems equaled more in the car than it was worth, I gave it away just 3 years later up at auction for $8700 a 20k loss for a car I thought I would have for 10 years plus. I will never buy a Chrysler,Mercedes, Dodge or jeep ever again!
