A very together car. Sharp looking, with a very silky smooth engine and transmission. Gobs of torque that comes on low in the power band. I thought I’d miss a clutch but now prefer the speedshift. Not as good as the Ferrari’s but better then Porsche. The C55 has a clean interior with great ergonomics. I tested the CTS-V, its cheap interior, confusing shifter, and wheel hop means it’s still a work in progress. I also tested the M3/M5.The M3 too small, becoming outdated. The M5(02-03)nice but a bit heavy in the handling, however nicer rear seating then the C55. All 3 Germans have great engines though. Tried the S4, not a fan of AWD and the styling is just ok. Interior is comparable to the C55.

What else could anyone want? Power, refinement, good visibility and a silver arrow on the hood! This car has provided thrills from day one! There are bigger and faster cars out there, but none right now that can compare in theis segment.(Sorry CTS-V and S4)

I thought it was time for a true sports car till I drove this hot rod. I've had the car 18 months and it has performed flawlessly, except I wore the rear tires off at 4,500 miles, but I guess that's my fault. I really like the exclusivity of the AMG package. Not quite the nimble handling of a BMW, but a more refined package overall. Fit and finish are first rate. Mine's Diamond Black and I get compliments on the color all the time. It's great to dust 350Z's Mustang GT's and other "quick" cars in my little sedan.

Had BMWs previously -- M3s, etc. This car is more comfortable but still fast and fun to drive. Ride is firm yet very comfortable.
