2024 Mazda CX-90 SUV Consumer Reviews

Not worth the $$$ - DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE!
At 7500 miles I am currently sitting in the dealership waiting on an oil change, and have the following complaints: 2 days ago while driving about 60mph the vehicle began jerking and hesitating and continued to do this from acceleration to faster speeds throughout the day. 2 days prior to that, it was making a loud squealing noise while driving in stop and go traffic for about 3 miles. The brakes are squealing and have been for the last 1,000 miles. There’s the sound of an air leak in the passenger side door that can be heard loudly while driving. The drivers seat is uncomfortable. The car makes a loud beeping noise when backing up which I personally do not like and there’s no way to turn off. I owned a 2021 Ford Explorer prior to purchasing this vehicle and can say this Mazda CX-90 does not even compare considering it’s in the same price range and size as the Explorer. I would highly recommend reconsidering before purchasing this vehicle. I have plans to trade this vehicle very soon to go back to a Ford Explorer. Also, the guy in the service department (Charleston, SC) was very nonchalant regarding my complaints. I will be sure everything is documented before I leave in case the problems escalate further before I’m able to trade it in.

From Ascent to CX-90 a smart switch
Went shopping for a Subaru Ascent or a Honda pilot or a Toyota Grand Highlander and never thought about a Mazda. By chance we looked at the CX-90 and fell in love. This vehicle is luxurious and fun to drive and loaded with options that make it comfortable for a night out or long trip to our great national parks.

Nice 3 row SUV by Mazda
We have the Turbo S Premium Plus model and love it. The vehicle feels like it is high quality, not cheap materials like other manufacturers. Panel gaps are near perfect. Engine is smooth, powerful and efficient. It will run on regular but I can feel the difference using premium. Ride is quiet and comfortable.

not the best choice for me
I like the acceleration, the AC, the seat blowers and that many of the controls are push button, not screen. I don't like the radar stuff. The vehicle decides where it will drive, when to use the brakes, how fast it will go when using the cruise control (slows down if coming up on a vehicle before you can change lanes), beeps at you constantly in heavy traffic and the foot activated tailgate opener opens the tailgate when going over steep road entry from parking lots (tailgate is broken now from the time it happened).
wanted to love it
I bought the 2024 CX90 and thought I was in love. A hybrid with 3 rows? Sign this mom up! BUT! It spent 110 days at the dealer for different problems in the 300 days I owned it. So many problems I can't even start to complain here. Save yourself the headache and get a Toyota.
