Used 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback Consumer Reviews
No Regrets!
I haven't had one regret on this purchase since day 1. I've owned 7 cars and excluding my 1970 Triumph, this is the most fun car I've ever driven. The handling, comfort and features all fit my driving style perfectly. I can take off-ramps at speeds that scare my wife, take off when I need to move quick, idle quietly at red lights, etc. I'm not quite hitting the EPA mileage, but I drive hard and I get about 22-25 city depending on how rough I run it. Only quality issue I have is the cover to my GPS memory card on the dash broke and fell off on it's own. They replaced it free, but annoying to deal with. And for those that don't like the "smile" grill, I love it!
Love this car!
This by far has been the best drive I have ever had. Just got out of a 2009 Acura TSX, and could not wait to get out of it. Mazda 3s is by far a better ride, and $10k less. This car rocks and even with less power then the TSX, the handling compensates. I have only driven the car for two days, but already love it. I hear people complaining about road noise, I don't hear it, all I hear is the fine tone of the exhaust. In The TSX, I could hear the engine noise, by far worst then anything I hear with the Mazda 3. I will never look at any of the other competitors in this segment, don't see how they will be able to compete.... This might be the best car ever built for the money....

Big surprise
My wife researched this car for 2 months, but I did not pay much attention to her reviews. When we went to test drive the car I was very impressed by its looks and handling. Also very impressed with the options the car came with. Blue-tooth, 2.5 ltr engine, 6 speed manual, etc too many to name. Also very impressive dashboard design. I also like the 17" tires.
Great performance and surprising comfort
I work out of my car so I wanted something that was comfortable and had good cargo room, but was also fun to drive. Looked at the Matrix and Impreza, but they felt cheap compared to the Mazda. Plenty of room in the hatchback with the seats down for all my cargo. The interior is really comfortable, I can spend all day in and out of the car and still feel great. My drive is 70% city 30% highway and with a light foot, I'm averaging about 27 mpg. It takes discipline though as the car is so much fun to drive fast. It's smooth on the highway, a blast in the curves, and nimble in parking lots. On a rough road there is some road noise, but no more then my 2007 Accord had. I love this car!
Fun and practical
I switched over from a Mercedes 350-E which was plagued with problems and poor quality not to mention expensive maintenance costs. I chose a Mazda 3 2.5 litre GTE model and am extremely satisfied with the car. Have traveled across the country this summer and never even had a minor problem. The gas mileage is good but city consumption is slightly heavy in traffic. The car has enough power for highways and passing. It has many features of a much more expensive German luxury model but far cheaper to run and maintain. It also runs fine on regular gas and has a smaller environmental impact compared to German imports . The GPS display screen in the dash is a bit small and hard to read.
