***UPDATE*** I've had my 2023 Nautilus Black Label for about 9 months now and it is still my favorite vehicle. Everything I mentioned in my original post below still holds true. I love the power from the V6, the gorgeous and comfortable interior, and the handsome exterior profile. What I love even more is that this generation of Nautilus is one of the best and most reliable mid-size luxury SUV/Crossovers you can buy, according to multiple automotive resources including but not limited to Motortrend, U.S. News, Consumer Reports (a recommended buy!), etc. The only "nay-sayer" was Car & Driver and from what I could read, they give it low marks because it doesn't have the cache and driving dynamics of a BMW or Mercedes Benz....well, guess what....not everyone wants a German corner carver. Some of us prefer a little bit of relaxed luxury. The fact that Car & Driver acts like that's a detriment is beyond me. They do praise it for its comfort, power, and refinement though. All that aside, I'm still so pleased with my purchase and think that given the opportunity people should definitely put Lincoln on their radar. Original Post: I purchased a 2017 Lincoln MKX when new and fell in love with it before and after the sale. I had the Reserve model back then, still with the 2.7 liter V6. It was a wonderful car and gave me several years of trouble-free/worry-free enjoyment. In 2022, I sold it to my sister who coveted it since the first day she saw it. I was happy to sell it to her, but immediately missed it when I started driving our Jeep on a daily basis. A little over a year went by and I saw the redesigned 2024 Nautilus debut and although I love the redesign, I was very disappointed to learn that it would no longer be available with a V6 option. That coupled with the fact that production was being moved to China made me re-think buying one. Having said that, I made the decision to purchase a 2023 Nautilus Black Label because I knew what I was buying....an extremely luxurious and comfortable vehicle with great performance. I understand why some want to criticize Lincoln for being nothing but gussied-up Fords, and that may have been true about 10-15 years ago, but the same can truly be said for any luxury auto manufacturer and their mainstream counterparts. My new Nautilus is a great value with all the trappings one could want in a comfortable cruiser with some slight performance chops (with the V6, I'm not a fan of the four-banger). The 22-way massaging seats are wonderful because they not only massage the seat back, but also the seat bottom. They're highly adjustable. Soft touch material is laid out everywhere except for the lower door panels and you really don't want soft touch material down there to protect from scuffs, etc. The Bridge of Weir leather is some of the softest leather I've ever experienced in a vehicle. If I had a gripe, and it's a small one, it's that the rearview/360 degree cameras are not high-definition. I don't know if it was a supply chain issue that prevented them from putting them on the Nautilus...I know other Lincolns and Fords with the Sync 4 system have better resolution. However, it's not a dealbreaker for me and maybe they will be able to retrofit better cameras down the road. I'm sure the 2024 model will alleviate this issue. Again, trivial but noticeable. Outside of that, I'm very pleased with my purchase and, although no vehicle is perfect, I'm confident that I will have the same wonderful experience with this vehicle as I did my 2017 MKX. If you haven't driven one, do yourself a favor and cross-shop it with other midsize luxury SUV's, i.e., Cadillac XT5, Lexus RX, etc. I think you might be pleasantly surprised when comparing apples to apples.

Garbage - avoid at all cost

We bought on car on 7/8/23 and today is 7/12/23 and the car has been in the shop twice - in fact it is still there and we have no idea when we will get it back. Three times the steering has quit working, no not 'firmer' steering as the disinterested Service Manager said, put you cannot turn the wheel with both hands So we are praying for a 3rd failure so we can get out of this piece of garbage and get on to another car line.

A Lincoln Disappointment

The 2023 Nautilus has been a huge disappointment. 1. The road noise doesn’t allow you to enjoy your ride with windows down or partially down. 2. Position of the drivers side mirror creates a blind spot for the driver. I’m shocked this hasn’t been a concern since it is a safety issue. 3. Poor stereo sound. No matter how many times we’ve adjusted the fade, bass etc features we cannot get a rich surround sound in our Nautilus. 4. When compared to the three Ford Edges we’ve had we are shocked how Lincoln eliminated storage compartments in the Nautilus. 5. There are only two features the Nautilus has that the Edges did not, very comfortable seats and the navigation monitor. We assumed since we were moving up to a Lincoln the car would automatically be an improvement over the Edge. We were wrong. The Nautilus is not worth the price. The features in the Edge were superior to the Nautilus (except for the monitor and seat comfort) Our second car is an Audi A4 (10 years old) and it is better designed then our Nautilus.

Getting used to touch screen controls. Many features same as MKX just in new location. Would really like hard copy owner's manual. Nice to read when not in the car. Once understood seldom looked at again. So far very satisfied ((7 miles on OD)

The technology does not live up to the hype. Apple car play is far from dependable. Typically Google maps does not load the full screen. At times, the sound system sometimes only works on one side of the vehicle. But, by far my largest disappointment is the quietness of the ride. The wind noise is ridiculous. With all the claims of “luxury”, this should be a basic requirement. It has been back at the dealer several times with no fix. I have been told that it is no different from other Lincolns. My prior vehicle that costed at least $25,000 less was much quieter!!
