Third Lexus, 2nd LS430, LS400 parents still driving. Regretted trading in 1st LS430. Have owned 3 Benz, 2 BMW, 1 BMW M Package, 300ZX, RX-7, Porsche 356C, Triumph etc. Current LS430 Ultra Luxury, Acceleration, handling, Wife likes it!, Unbelievable luxury, cooled seats, rear reclining/vibrator seats, rear cooler, radar dynamic cruise collision detection. Can raise height of car to avoid front bumper scrapes. Rides like silent luxurious limousine, then switch to sport mode adaptive air suspension, power mode and takes off, accelerates and corners like a much smaller sports car, grips better than expected, very difficult to reach limit when dynamic stability control engages. 27 MPG HWY.

Best car I have ever owned

The car gets great gas mileage. Looks a little boxy, but the wind tunnel numbers give it away as very aerodynamic. Love the seating the ride, it is flawless. I can go 5 hours without stopping, listening to an audio book, alone. Hardly realize I have done anything because it is so even inside, temperature wise, and so perfectly quiet, that I really am in "car heaven". No one would ever be disappointed in this car who is mature, and loves value and excellent luxury and fine details. I have had some expensive repairs, door locks being about $600 a door, and the carbon canister being $800 (all of these prices include labor). But, overall, the car has very low maintenance costs for 180,000 miles

The most incredible car I've ever owned and I've owned over 200. For the money a used one is a bargain. Most times you can find one that has been babied and well taken care of. I bought the Ultra package with auto door closers and dynamic cruise. Mileage was up to 28mpg on the highway and around 18-20 in town. Sadly I sold mine, but miss it so much I am currently back in the market to purchase. Great job Lexus!

Unmatched Quality

I've tried the Beemers and the MB's and there is no luxury sedan built better or more luxuriously for the money than the LS430. Maintenance is virtually nil, unlike the German "uber autos." The MB has a ride nowhere near the comfort of the Lexus. This is my first LS 430 after owning two LS400's. I doubt I'll ever buy anything other than the big LS. It's the best car I've ever owned and I've owned 41 cars to date.

When you really get down to it, there are a few other vehicles that you can buy that will have the same level of comfort, but how often will they be in for repairs? The LS has a great balance of power, comfort, class and reliability.
