Best Lexus yet!

Have mainly used GS 300 belonging to a friend as ours was just delivered today. I find this vehicle very light on its feet, quiet, comfortable and assembled (if possible) with even more precision than any of our previous Lexus models. Available options make the GS 300 a very real mid-luxury all-star.

Best Value

The Lexus GS AWD is fun to drive and more youthful than the E Class and Acura RL. The GS has the best exterior styling. It is very quiet and has a very smooth ride. When it is time to go the GS moves quickly, like a trained stallion. The interior is rich, but not overstated. The controls are place perfectly. People just stare at the car. The GS has exceeded my expectation in value, ride/drive, and design. It is the perfect car for an excutive that runs a conservative and innovative business. The car adds to a person's brand.

Never Again

I have had 4 Lexus models, LS 400, SC 430, GS 470 and most recently GS 300. Have to say this is the last Lexus I will ever drive. Have had an annoying clunk in the front end when backing out of a parking spot. Although everyone I have had in the car asks what the clunking sound is, mysteriously, it never occurs at the dealership. They have been unable to fix this ongoing problem. Also, tires had to be replaced at 24,000 kms approximately 15,000. Tires are rated as all season. Do not attempt to drive this car in snow conditions without snow tires. 10 months left on lease, cannot wait till end of term.

GS300 AWD

The car can be personalized to a tee, however, this is not very easy to do. What I did not like is that when the outside temperature is cold, the transmission takes forever to reach top gear; the manual states it does so on purpose, but I don't like it. Also, while the car is powerful, it has a tendency not to downshift on hills, and thus loses some speed. Of course, stepping on the pedal remedies all that, but to me, it indicates the car's final gear ratio is too high. The gas mileage is unbelievable, but actually a couple of miles less per gallon than indicated on the trip computer. Inside it is a marvel of simplicity and access. Auto Windshield wipers are too fast for me.

I have had this car since 06 as a lease, a second car if you will, then I lost my job and the car that went with it. This became my everyday car. There were many times I had an empty refrigerator because it was raining and I didn't want to take it out of the garage! I can say in the 3 years I have owned it, it has never been through a car wash, I know every line, scratch, slight dent from a road stone and I love washing and detailing it and listening to the accolades from others there washing their cars. This car even though a lease, was treated like the baby it was intended to be. I had the dealership tint the windows because I found it to look nicer and stay cooler in the summer.
