Used 2018 Jeep Wrangler Consumer Reviews
So Far So Good
Purchased our 2018 JL Unlimited Rubicon about a week ago. We have experienced rain every single day since then, so our Jeep has yet to have its top or freedom panels off. The Jeep handles well, brakes well, accelerates fairly well for a V6 of this weight, and the ride is smoother than expected. Cabin noise is more noticeable in the Rubicon (than the Sahara trim level) due to the tires and additional height, but it is not bad. The interior is attractive, comfortable, and the laid out well. Too early to comment on the gas mileage, but the Jeep is approximating the posted values by the manufacturer thus far. Reliability and repair frequency Is not applicable at this stage. We did purchase the 10 year, bumper to bumper extended warranty as a precaution based on poor experiences with a GM product years ago.

Fun but unreliable
2018 Rubicon JL....I really enjoyed this vehicle but at 15K miles it began to not start.....at all.... After 3 trips to dealer and their continued insistence I was insane....I traded it with 25K miles on it for 2020 Titan Pro XD....best thing I ever did.

Carefully Modernized and No Disappointment!
Well I’ve had mine for almost a year now, with 9200 miles and no real issues. I bought a leftover 18, and I am thoroughly impressed. First, the exterior, the belt line, the stying cues of the TJ, along with the grill that resembles the CJ, makes it very attractive and keeps in tact it’s heritage. Forget the JK, the JL is the true successor to the TJ with significantly more refinement. As for the drivetrain, I got the 2.0 etorque with the 8 speed manual, and I am impressed! When you hit the gas, it has great pickup and the electric assist motor almost makes it sound like the Deloreon! It makes me giggle at the acceleration, and I’m an old guy. Otherwise, the interior is a significant improvement, and it feels more like a Jeep and less like a Chrysler like the JK did. This is my third Wrangler, and it’s by far the best.

2018 Wrangler JL
I was sad to see all the issues everyone has had with their JL models. I had one myself and absolutely loved it, had a small issue with the steering when I first picked it up and it was resolved with a new stabilizer. I put 31K miles on it in 10 months and had to trade it in because it was a lease and I was just putting to many miles on it. I traded it for a Toyota Tacoma and regret it ever since. The Jeep was just so much more fun, more power, 24 MPG avg. Miss taking the tops off and letting in the sun. Will buy another someday!

Great vehicle. Worth the three-month wait
Much better acceleration than the earlier JK with the same engine. The eight-speed transmission is a huge upgrade from the old five speed, especially during long-off-road descents. The interior trim and and leather seats are nicely designed and quite appealing, unlike some of the spartan interiors of past models. If you like all of the off-road capabilities of a Jeep but also enjoy creature comforts, spend a little more for the upgrades.
