LOVE MY 2012 WRANGLER BUT IT,S UNRELIABLE
Had it over 5 years , been in for repairs a lot .Try to do as many repairs as I can myself, not easy to work on. Me and my family have had quite a few cars through the years and I,m sorry to say this is the most unreliable vehicle I,ve ever owned .

not great
I ended up selling my wrangler after 3 years. I had numerous issues with the heat. Specifically the heater core, oil cooler and radiator. I had them all replaced under warranty. The heat never did work properly on the vehicle. I did like the look of the jeep. It towed my boat well. I don't know if I trust the 285hp . It always felt under-powered. Unfortunately It was rough on the road, had very little storage and was incredibly slow on the road. I would give this vehicle a honest rating of 3 out of 10. I would not purchase again. although it did have amazing resale.....
Nice But Little Things Add Up
I bought the top of the line Sahara with every option available thinking all will be great. Within literally 100 miles the engine started knocking, the driver seat squeaks so bad, the A/C is luke warm, the driver side windshield visor pops off, the painted hard top has haze marks all over it, the windshield makes a whistling noise, driver seat seatbelt area rubs and makes a load noise, and the driver side seat adjuster is making a rub mark on the leather to list a few! Now it has 3,500 miles and I still am trying to make an appointment to get it looked at. I have canceled many appointments because of my work schedule and the service department have limited hours! I am defiantly disappointed!
Problems from the Beginning!
Worst vehicle I have ever owned!!! Dead on the side of the road and towed back to the dealer 6 times in 6 years! (Would have been more but it was garaged on/off for almost a year due to work travel.) Purchased new in Costa Mesa, CA and all work done by dealer at recommended intervals. Head needed to be replaced with under 6k miles but only what seemed like after trial-and-error diagnostic work ("well, the computer says...) and extreme time delays with warranty approvals from "corporate." (Head issues are well know by Jeep, but still they delay!) Countless check engine light, traction light, etc, experiences. Most recently, just three weeks after taking the Wrangler in for an oil change prior to a long-trip... Wait for it... Dead on the side of a desert road, oil everywhere and electrical system shot. Turns out, the known issue of the "Oil Filter Adapter" failing was the first culprit. But of course, the dealer said it wasn't their fault even through they worked on and around the OFA during the oil change. "Corporate" won't warranty even though message boards are littered with complaints regarding this design flaw. After a 41 mile tow, $600 for a new OFA, a warrantied battery, and much frustration, the car had to go back to the dealer just two days later as it was running hot. $150 for a new thermostat (coupons and discounted labor), and I was guaranteed that I would make it home with no issues. Again, wait for it... Just 10 miles into a 600 mile trip, I once again found myself dead on the side of a mountain road outside of Prescott, AZ. This time, there was no cell service in the area and I had to hike 100 yards up a hill to call AAA. This time, the dealer found a short (why didn't they find it the first time?) and after a 4 hour delay I was back on the road. DO NOT BY THIS CAR! Actually, I would think long and hard about buying any Chrysler product now that FIAT engineering is in the mix...
