Reliable & Fun Run-about
My 1995 Wrangler SE (Sport) is equipped with the bullet-proof 4.0 liter in-line six and 5 speed manual transmission. Options include the Sport Package & AC. This little Jeep has nearly 140,000 miles on it and still looks & runs like new. This old AMC designed YJ Wrangler is not a luxury car - it is a vehicle designed to go off-road as well as on- road. If you purchase one knowing its highway limitations (not a high-speed cruiser or a 40 mpg econo-box), as well as its attributes - great in all weather - summer or winter) you should be very satisfied. Sure they are noisy & rough riding, but they are durable, reliable and a blast to drive. My preference is the YJ.
You can't kill it!!!!
I am 17 and before my jeep I had a 1990 Ford Ranger that CONSTANTLY needed fixing, but wen it finally blew up i was rewarded with a jeep. This thing is so reliable, durable, and fun. It has over 170,000 miles on it, and had 160,000+ when we bought it. The previous owner worked at a boyscout camp and used this Jeep to navigate the incredibly rough roads every day. However this ol' Jeep remains tough, and great for offroading. It ain't a power house with the 4 cyl. so not great for highway, and is really bumpy and noisy, but hey, its a Jeep. I only had to replace the starter because I took it mudding and got some water in the engine, haha

Soak Up The Sun...
The JEEP Wrangler is a true original. I've just moved on from the one that I bought new in 1996. It now has 82,000 miles and is going to be a third car for a family with a new teenage driver. Overall, I've had no unexpected problems with the vehicle. Great in the snow, Awesome in the summer, but not good for long trips or windy days. Gas mileage is ok. Fun to drive around the neighborhood; would make an excellent second car.
Time To Say Goodbye
The first car I ever bought. I didn't imagine it would last me 11 years. It was a great Jeep. I'm trading it in this spring for a "civilians" car. Its been unbelievably reliable. For 10 yrs. I only had to replace the alternator. It has 140,000 mi. Things went south this summer. Major oil leak, brakes locked up, new radiator, new starter, new clutch cylinder, coolant leaks, etc. Very safe, not real comfortable or easy to use when trying to put childern and toddlers in back car seats. Great ride in the spring and fall with top down. I still love the plugs in floor to let water out when getting caught in rain. Bad mpg, but its a jeep. My dog loves it too. Good bye old friend. You'll be missed.
bad ass jeep
I love my jeep. Its a 95 with 5.5" of lift, 33-10.50-15 swamper radials, full 6ponit cage and all the trimmings. It is my daily driver, I bought it in June of 98 with 50,000 miles it now has about 127000, still runs strong. All my buddies have them. Don't let the 4 squirrels under the hood scare you.
