Purist at heart
Purchased a 2018 Wrangler JK Freedom Edition. The official reviews are just smoke up your skirt. It rides nice on the road considering the tires are geared to off road so yes its not like driving a Cadillac, Auto Trans I didn't think I would like but I am impressed. Gas mileage runs14.5 MPG average. As far as the Hard top and T type tops, all easily removed entire top takes 10 minutes to remover and another 10 to put back on. Off Road Factory Tires are not up to par for heavy off road use, first good Rock will puncture it. All this takin into account it is still a 5.

2018 Jeep JK was a let down
I have been wanting a new Jeep since the day I got rid of my last one and with the 4 doors I thought it would be a great car for my family. Since buying 6 months ago transmission issues and fluid leaks have plagued this car. Unfortunately as soon as I can get rid of this one I will be done with Jeeps and the poor customer service of there dealership network here in the South Denver CO market

Overall👍
No mechanical issues sofar I've had my 2dr base jk for 1.5 years. BUT there are minor things. I get winters where I live and there are parts of the jeep that make little to no sense. The plastic tray between the bumper and grill with depressions it just gathers ice and snow constantly, the windshield cracks in the same place when replaced on lower passenger side at the bottom middle? The massive cup surrounding the wiper arm bases ridiculous for ice build up??? Like I said not major but annoying

2018 Wrangler JK in St. Louis
I bought my JK hard top in March of 2018 and is a highway driver 99%. It is a 6 speed manual with 3:21 gears. At 40K miles it still runs well, no interior or exterior squeaks. The molding is starting to discolor which I believe is due to poor material. Other than lack of power, I generally like it.

professional reviews are terrible
My 2016 JK Rubicon is over the top. I had a 95 YJ, and 4 TJ's before this one. You DON'T buy a Wrangler for luxury. All the writers say don't buy a Wrangler because----. They ride rough, they leak, they don't have all the safety features that the poor driving soccer mom's need. They are a Jeep. Highest resale value in the industry. If you need poor off road performance and luxury (sic) buy one of the Japanese suv's. However, if you want fun and want to stand out. Buy a Wrangler.
