Short history - I traded in a 2015 Tahoe LTZ for this car. Traded in the Tahoe with only 10,000 miles on it, after numerous problems, rattles, quality issues, etc. Even with taking a major loss on the Tahoe, I am still so glad to have purchased my Grand Cherokee. I have had the Jeep for exactly a year, and have just recently passed the 20,000 mile mark. I can honestly say this is the best car I have ever owned. Great ride quality, comfortable cabin, intuitive controls and features. The list goes on and on. The interior quality of the jeep makes my old top-of-the-line Tahoe look cheap. When driving over railroad tracks, the brand new Tahoe rattled like a tool box! Not my jeep - Not one rattle, even after 20,000 miles. This car is a blast to drive, and is very capable off road as well. The Air suspension is a great feature! Highly recommended!

Like the title states, I really wanted to like the ecoDiesel. When it ran, I was able to push 30 mpg on the highway and could easily pull anything I needed. The interior of the Summit edition was very nice, compatible to other luxury SUVs. Engine ran great, until..... the dreaded ecoDiesel recall. After the recall, it was in the shop almost as much as it was in my garage. After almost 2 years of working with Jeep and the recall, replacing 14 glow plugs in 3 months, replacing, all fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine and flashing the PCM multiple times, we finally thought we were good, until one day while pulling a trailer, the engine starts to make a horrible knock. Took it to the dealer and they informed me the engine is shot at roughly 170k miles. Appears there is a gear on the camshaft that is only held in place by friction. Once this friction breaks, bye bye engine. Mine went 170k miles with maintenance according to Jeeps recommendation. Others have stated this has happened in a few as 50k miles. First recommendation is Jeep needs to recall these engines to fix the camshaft. Until they acknowledge this and fix this issue, STAY AWAY from the ecoDiesel. Like I said, I really wanted to like this engine and suffered for over 2 years on the emissions recall thinking I could get 200k+ miles with the diesel, but the quality just isn't there for the premium price

Time and time again after my first Jeep all roads have led back to Jeep. Having had a 2011 overland I now tested a Audi Q5, Lexus Rx350, BMW X3, Toyota Highlander, Acura MDX, all competitors and for what I need hands down again no comparison I purchased Jeep again. I was actually wishing I found something I enjoyed driving more as I like variety but nothing met my needs like the Jeep. A true multi purpose strong unstoppable comfortable luxurious vehicle.

First Jeep Grand Cherokee. Overland. 4X4. V8. I love this SUV. Great value It is comparable to BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. The cost is much less but performance is great. I have had no problems with the Jeep. Great acceleration. Just did 3000 mile road trip, very comfortable. No problem with long hill climbs fully loaded V8 easily keeps speed and accelerates well. One episode of electronic trouble, adjustable wheel stopped working for a little while but started working again. ????? No other problems. AC went out on cross country trip. Dealer in Utah did not find a problem, recharged no further problems.

Overall a comfortable experience with purchasing and riding of this car. Only have it for one month and put on 700 miles. Best look SUV ever! Only thing not so satisfied is, city MPG is kinda poor, only 15+ at local. Update: After a year of use with about 16k miles on it. had three oil changes and two tire rotations. No problems so far. Minor complaints are: 1. poor paint work. rock chips appeared within 3k miles. 2. sometimes jerking shifting at lower gears. 3. Overall poor MPG at locals, especially during winter, only 14-15.
