Used 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
A big dissappointment
Stay away from this vehicle, I am having nothing but mechanical issues with this. With in a month a component in the radio went out (which controls a lot of features in the vehicle) and it had to be replaced. After two months the instrument panel went out as well as the gauges quit working, now they are ordering me a new dash panel. I have had this car close to two months and have nothing but problems. Please research this vehicle, as well as other vehicles, before buying the cherokee. I have noticed in the jeep forums that the same issues are occurring with other people. I wish I had never traded my other vehicle.
overland 2WD V8 , just one hiccup
This review is relative. The dropdown doesn't let us choose the V8 non SRT versions. I came off a V8 BMW X5 4 x 4 sport package to this Jeep in the mid $47K range. Its a truck chassis but smooth ride , but less car than the X5. Chose the V8 2WD , all good except Water pump failed at 36K in warranty . The only other glitch was a blown fuse on a 12 V cigarette lighter socket. Love the tech, the interior styling and leather, spec - heated seats and wheel, large size spare. Some reviews may be V8 like mine, V8 with rear traction control fine on most streets tho no snow in TX..So I had mine on a 3 year lease and bought it at the end. Its an AMERICAN truck and has had one $165 water pump fail in 36K which isn't good but the electronic Tech said stop. In the same 3 years my X5 was in the Garage 10 times for serious faults electrics, fire (!) ,suspension, air bags . The 8 speed transmissions come from two sources , maybe I have a good one, its smooth. 17 Mpg is my max with 15 average. Downside is the dealership, 1 week waiting list always. 2 recalls fixed (one on Trans) . good value.

Countless Problems with 8.4" Screen-Radio
I've owned my 2014 GC Overland V8 for about 6 months. After 3 months my screen froze and radio/hvac went haywire. The radio froze on full blast and the hvac froze on full heat. The knobs did nothing and the touch screen was completely frozen. Screen/radio unit was completely replaced. Dealer forgot to transfer my sirius subscription, so spent over an hour on the phone with sirius explaining that I did not purchase a new radio, blah, blah. New unit seemed to solve my problems. Then about three months later, the screen completely turned off as I was on the highway. Been dead for about a month. No radio, backup camera, etc. Dealer is going to replace unit AGAIN.
Blessed
Transmission issues are definitely something to consider, so make sure you research the crap out of the vehicle you’re considering.

Beyound All Expectations
What can I say it's only been to the dealer for oil changes and updates. By the way it's a Grand Cherokee Summit Turbo diesel.
