Extremely Relaible
I bought my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2007 with 42k. I now have 225k and the NE salt has finally gotten the better of it and it is getting donated today. I never had to put anything into it that wasn’t considered regular maintenance. I never once had to replace the muffler, shocks, etc. Over the years I only had to things like brakes and tires. Couple other things like radiator and water pump, but’s that’s really it. Mine is a special edition with the 4.0. It still runs and shifts perfectly. If it wasn’t all rotted from the salt I know I could have gotten at least 300k. I always did the fluid changes and I think that helped. The thing was a true beast in the snow too. If you can find one today with rust you should grab it!

Experience after 1 year
The Jeep has been nearly perfect and I put it through a lot of beating. It has towed my 19' boat 15 times this year. Most trips greater than 50 miles. I have 23K on the odometer. Nothing has failed and nothing really needs replacing. I do get the oil changed every 3K and have done all of the scheduled service.
Best car I've owned
This has been the best car I have ever owned. It has 167,000 miles and all I've ever had to do beside changing the oil, is put a new battery in it. It has been a good car and I would recommend a jeep to anyone!
cool looks, but noisy!
I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. it is reliable and comfortable with great looks. I only have a problem with the build quality. The Jeep is only three years old, and the brakes squeal quite a bit. Also, the seals around the second row windows are already coming loose (even though I always park in the garage) resulting in a whistling noise on the highway.
