The Powerful Beast
I have owned my '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee for over a year now. It is my first vehicle and my mom also owns one (1998 though). It is very reliable and the only problems have been mostly from abuse of past owner. The CV shaft on the driver side was badly torn but other than that, no major problems. It handles well on-road, as well as off-road.
LOVE my Jeep except for ONE thing ...
I got this Jeep back in April and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. Except ... the transmission went out and it's costing me $2100 to fix. Yikes! The Jeep has 129k on it, but everything else works just fine. Love my Jeep! Will definably buy a newer one for my next car. :)

My Jeep saved my life...
I was in a potentially fatal accident 2 days ago in my 1994 Jeep. Many have told me of their rollover potential, but I found that this vehicle actually saved my life. I was driving at a speed of appoximatley 70 mph when a car to my right was clipped by a semi and spun out of control. His back end hit my front passenger wheel well which also caused my tire to blow. I initially lost control and fishtailed 3 times back and forth across 4 lanes of freeway traffic. I was very surprised at the handling of this vehicle in this situation and am grateful to have been able to walk away.
JEEP - takes you where few have gone bef
comfortable to drive, no reliability issues, just standard preventive & scheduled maintanance fixes, Quad Track 4WD just walks through deep snow
'94 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Bought the car off a year lease from dealership. Ran good for two years then constant mechanical problems thereafter.
