Used 2005 Jaguar X-Type Sedan Consumer Reviews
Jag X 2.5 5M - First 8 months
Pleased with the car - great value. Interestingly, I switched from a V6 GTI and my back no longer hurts when I drive. The Jag body curves are sensuous and the car is easy to wash and dry. Service has been exceptional, as was the salesman and dealer. In a sea of possibilities, this little Jag is a good bet.
LOVE IT!
This car has been AMAZING! SO much more reliable than I thought and continues to impress me with how much I've continued to love it. I bought it in 2006 with 9K miles on it and have driven it for 100K. I never intended to keep this car for as long as I have. I have owned BMW, Acuras, and this (by far) surpasses my satisfaction with those other brands.

Great Car for the Money!
I purchased a 2004 leftover for $22.8k. It was a base car w/ a five speed manual. A lot of bang for the buck. It would be hard to find something in the same price range w/ all wheel dive, V6, leather and full power even if it wasn't a Jaguar. Power is okay, especially for a small displacement V6. Mated w/the five speed it's more than adequate. Overall I think it's a well thought out car w/a lot of nice touches (adjustable armrest, rear fog lights. etc.). I would strongly recommend the car.
Jaguar X-Type 2.5
What a great car. Sexy looks and luxury ride with a sporty flair. I have driven in the heavy snow and ice without snow tires and no problems. Getting 25 mpg. Love the interior and quiet ride. Takes the bumps as a quiet one-piece unit. This is a great car for those who want something different. You don't see everyone with a Jag.
Best Kept Secret
This vehicle has been outstanding since I purchased it. 2.5L w/manual transmission is the way to go--good performance and good gas mileage. Clutch is not quite Porsche, but only one step below. The X Type does every thing well and, with the AWD, there is no need for my 4WD Pick Up here in the Wash. DC area. Looks great--most people think I paid way more for it than I did.
