Mileage
While the Tucson 2022 hybrid is highly rated, comfortable, and attractive, the gas mileage is not what's advertised. I have driven this car for almost 12,000 miles over the past 15 months with over 70% of the mileage was city driving, and the car computer indicates that my overall mileage is 31.9 mpg. For a hybrid, this is not much better than comparable gas engines such as CRV OR RAV4. Still the Tucson is extremely nice to drive with numerous high tech features in the Limited edition. Buy it for those features , not the gas mileage!

New engine at 3600 miles
Purchased brand new in January 2022. With about 3600 miles on it, I was driving home in April 2022 from Montana to Idaho. Started to lose power, check engine came on. I pulled off the road, it would restart but only bucked forward slightly then died. I waited 2.5 hours for a tow. Initial diagnosis was leaky fuel injector. Just got word the engine is bad, needs new engine. I paid $32K, and told the dealer I wanted to trade it in because I was not comfortable with the car. He offered me $27K on a trade. Are you serious, spend $5K to drive a car for 3 months/3600 miles. Hyundai never again.

A Lemon is still a Lemon no matter what
Two month old vehicle has been in the shop 4 times including two overnight stays. The stay before this was for TPMS. The computer also told them there was a problem with the cooling system but they did not check it out or tell me about it until I received an engine warning light that printed out the cooling system problem. Been in shop 3 days now. poor service and defective vehicle.

Exceeds expectations
This SUV is fantastic. Great list features. It is extremely quiet. Great gas mileage. In my opinion, great looking. Add to that to 3 years complimentary service, 5 years bumper to bumper coverage, 3 years Blue Link Service. My only complaint, I had to wait 7 months to get it UPDATE: This SUV is a fantastic vehicle. Not one problem. You would be hard pressed to find a vehicle with all these features at any price. And they all work flawlessly

2022 Tucson Limited so many features
Purchased the Tucson Limited in Amazon Gray which is really a greenish color. The paint finish is high quality. Even the keys are high tech. The car runs as smooth as silk. Contrary to other reviews I find no hesitation on acceleration. The acceleration is more than adequate. Nothing to complain about. We paid about the same last September for a 2021Honda EX-L CRV and this car blows the CRV out of the water. So many nice features. Turn on the turn signal and a image appears of the area to your left or right. The seats are heated and cooled. The rear seats are heated. Very well thought out interior. The seats are very comfortable. The mileage so far is just as advertised around town 25 MPG. The Honda CRV averages about 18. The sunroof is large and the inside cover can be left open without heat buildup. Safety features galore. Rain sensing wipers. The sound from the radio is way above average. This blows the Honda we bought away and CarMax made a good offer on the Honda so we are selling and waiting for another Hyundai. I see where the so called experts say the power is inadequate. I don't find that to be the case at all. This is a well made car and the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty speaks for itself. 10 year powertrain warranty is excellent. Hyundai has come a long way. The ride is relatively quiet and I could drive this car all day without complaint. The rear seats recline and are comfortable. If you're looking for a subcompact SUV this is it. Honda is falling behind,. So is Toyota. That's pretty amazing. Used Rav4s 2 years old with 20,000 miles are selling for more than this car. If you need one go for it. Update after 100 miles. This is a well engineered vehicle. The safety features are better than any other car I've ever observed. The ride is not exactly car like but it's quiet and steady. I love the cameras that come on when you activate the turn signals. That's really helpful. The paint color I got is Amazon Grey and it sparkles in the sun. The styling is called parametric styling and it may not appeal to all but I think it's a step ahead of many others the seats are comfortable and are both heated and ventilated the rear seats are also heated with a limited trim the rear seats also lean back and that's very nice and comfortable plenty of luggage room in the back mine came with the trailer hitch it's limited to 1600 pounds to 2,000 lb depending in essence after a hundred miles I've never seen a car like this. I've owned all types of cars including some of the top models and this car literally blows them away. If you're sitting at a traffic light in the traffic starts moving it gives you an alert to let you know the traffic is moving away from you that's pretty handy and convenient these days with everyone looking at their phones The Limited model comes with memory seats for two drivers. I've owned this car for only 2 weeks but I must say I think it's the best car I've ever owned and I've owned over 100 cars. Update August 5, 2022. Now have over 1,000 miles. My highway mileage is a solid 40 miles+ per gallon. Hit 42 a few times. My around town mileage is hitting 29 and this is not the hybrid. The motor can get a little buzzy on occasion but normally it's very quiet. The map and navigational aide are phenomenal. The ride can be a bit bouncy at times. Love the air cooled seats. This is a quality car and well designed all the way through. My only complaint would be no power folding mirrors. This cars features blows the competition away including some luxury marques. For the money it's hard to beat. My daughter in law just leased a $50,000 BMW and although it's nice, it doesn't have the gas mileage or the sophisticated safety features this Tucson Limited has in abundance. Update December 2022 Now have over 5,000 miles on the car and it has remained a solid performer. Just yesterday I was noticing how quiet it was as I drove down the road. The materials are holding up well. There are so many features of this car that it's hard to describe them all but they all work together well. This is a well engineered car and it's worth the money.. My round town gas mileage brings in about 30 miles per gallon. On the highway it's not unusual to hit 38 miles per gallon at all. Update: April 3, 2023 Car continues to perform well. Had the 8,000 mile check up and the dealer covered all the filters, a cost of $56. I see the other people complaining about the gas mileage and I don't know how they could possibly be true. The mileage average for me right now is over 30 mi to a gallon around town. I just took it out today and hit 41 miles per gallon. I got hit on the hood by a big piece of gravel about 2 weeks ago and I just noticed today that it knocked the clear coat off but it didn't chip the paint which is a miracle. I plan on driving this car till it hits about 40,000 mi and then trade it in on a Kona or whatever is out there at that time. I was on cruise control today when the traffic came to a sudden stop and the car itself braked all the way down to almost zero. The interior has a tendency to get dusty down south bcaude there's so much pollen but that just takes a small cleanup procedure. I've never had any problem merging into traffic, in fact if your floor this thing it leaves the traffic behind. Just went over 10,000 miles and it is still quiet and rattle free.

SEL Hybrid
This review is in regards to the SEL (middle option) hybrid. We spent several months looking for vehicles in this class. Due to the ridiculously high used car market we even considered certified pre owned luxury SUVs (Acura RDX, Mercedes, Volvo etc) but the idea of repair costs scared us off. Luckily Hyundai redesigned the Tucson and the cherry on top was that if offered a hybrid version. We considered the Honda CRV but didn’t like the look nor did we like the Toyota RAV 4. After 3 months of having our Tucson for 3 months we couldn’t be more pleased. The interior looks nice, the drive is nice and the gas mileage is strong (city driving is great, it does take a dip while on the highway but still better than its gas competitors). The vehicle is so nice we recommended it to my brother and he and his fiancé have preordered one as well! You’d be remiss if you didn’t consider the Hyundai Tucson before purchasing a compact SUV

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!
Please, do not waste your money on this piece of junk. I've had this car exactly a year to the day. This car has given me nothing but problems. It has been in for repairs 4 times already. Twice for rotor issues and twice for fuel related problems. So far the dealer has "fixed the issue" twice, but the car continues to jerk upon acceleration and it smells horribly of gas when I start the car. Save yourself the trouble and buy anything other than a Hyundai

Love the drive and comfort!
Roomy redesign of the 2022 Tucson has made this car most attractive! Was comparison shopping between the 2022 Santa Fe and the 2022 Tucson Limited as our 2019 Santa Fe was recently totaled. Thankful to Hyundai engineering as the occupant had very minor injuries. We also own a 2016 Tucson, so was quite impressed with the changes to the front seating comfort (headrest in the 2016 model was uncomfortable for long trips) and the additional space in the 2nd row. Cabin is quiet and the ride is smooth and responsive. Acceleration is more than adequate for a non turbo engine. The turbo is only offered in the hybrid model. Hyundai offers so many upscale standard features when comparing to competitors. The comfortable seating, roomy interior, increased gas mileage and lower pricing made the Tucson a win over the Santa Fe.
