Used 2011 Hyundai Tucson Consumer Reviews
The best small SUV value in the USA
We just purchased a 2011 Tucson GLS for our collegiate daughter on the heels of purchasing a 2012 Sonata for my wife. The Tucson came with a homelink mirror and a navigation system for $25 k! The Tucson is comfortable, stylish, and get tremendous highway gas mileage at 31 mpg. The SUV also has the famous 5 year/60,000 mile waranty, along with the 10 year/100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. Hyundai also has some low APR financing rates for their products. The navigation system is integrated with the Bluetooth phone system which is easy to use, and easy to call up phone numbers from your cell phone. The upgraded audio system is also a nice touch. Give a Tucson a test drive.
Perfect starter car!
This car has gotten me through high school, college, and now the real world. It's a perfect starter car for all those initial transitions in your life. The cargo space fits just enough for moving, having boxes, groceries, etc. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the controls, as I didn't need anything fancy to start my car journey with. The car is 8 years old and I've had very minimal problems along that course of time (other than the normal new battery, new tires, new brakes, etc.) This car was always easy to park in garages and high fuel costs have never been an issue. Now, however, I'm finding small things about the car that no longer work for me, like the no-lumbar support to the seat and the no parking assist option that many vehicles offer today.

Tucson 2011 MPG
Hyundai advertises on TV that the 2011 Tucson gets 30 mpg. My experience for the first 2000 miles is 21.9 mpg. Most of the driving is highway and short trips (5 miles) to town.
GPS System
The desgin of the GPS in this car is very bad. You can't use in the daylight. It has the back-up camera but it's worthless during the day. A true waste of our money for this package. Other than that we really like the car.
The verdict is still out...
I have 58,000 KM on my limited, so lets start with the good. The styling is beautiful. This vehicle is beautiful inside out. Hyundai has definitely changed their game to appeal to a wider base. The bad: - Mileage - Constantly between 11.6L/100km to 12.7 L/100km. Not a big fan. - Fan started making noise at 45000km. Dealer fixed. - Sunshade from sunroof opens partially every week. Dealer says its due to the vibration form the wheels. (What vibration?) - Rattle in trunk (Same reason as above apparently) - Bluetooth sounds muffled to receiving party (Seems fine to the dealer) - Oil changes every 6000 km (Is this car from the 80's?) Overall we will see if it goes downhill...
