Used 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sedan Consumer Reviews
Troublesome
I am aware that many praise this car, but many don't tell the issues. Of course you already know about the engine problems. But there are actually more problems. There are also VCM problems, oil consumption problems, and more importantly the 2015-2016 cars had a faulty oil plug at the CVVT system which will damage the CVVT sensor which in turn will damage the timing chain. Hyundai is quoting between $1500 and up to $4000 repairs depending on the damage, and it usually happens out of warranty. Other problems, my hood struts failed after 5 years, the leather seats are hard on long drives, the panoramic sunroof has poor tint to block the sun heat and also the shade must be fully opened to open the glass even just a little : basically you will bake in the sun if you want to crack the glass open. There is limited headroom for 6ft drivers. The 17 inch low profile wheels are very harsh and you cannot install 16 inch wheels because the brakes are too big. The 17 inch Solus tires also become very noise early in life. The radar units are very sensitive to calibration error and extremely expensive to replace. The parking sensors have fragile brackets and cost $400/unit. Poor resale value. As you can see, Hyundai has still a rather long way to go. I would recommend going for the base model with 16 inch wheels.
The best investment!
I love my Sonata, the quality and comfort, good in miles, lots of space for passengers and the trunk. And the insured is cheaper than the other cars (camry, accord). This is my second sonata and I will not change.

very good car
i returned my 2013 sonata from lease and got another one. 15 sonata is little bigger and more comfortable and better mpg. one thing i did not like about 13 was all the blind sights but they fixed on 15. i have 10 thousand miles on it already and and this one is giving me 540miles per a full tank of gas and not as sporty as 13 but it is ok.
