Bought new and how has 89k miles. No repairs neeed other than maintanence items. Only flaw so far is periodic dashboard squeak on right-hand side after 10 years. This is our third Hyundai (2002 Elantra, 2012 Accent SE, and 2013 Accent GS). Only real downside is lousy resale value vs. Toyota or Honda but we buy them new and run them until they hit 180k to 200k miles. Update June 2024: now at 102k miles with no issues. Replaced front struts and water pump. For whatever reason new struts eliminated dashboard squeak. Hoping for 150k miles.

Been driving this 10 years now. Too low to the ground for my liking. I prefer my suv over this one. But this is a reliable car to zip around town, and it looks cute on the outside. Front seats are acceptable for comfort. Back seats uncomfortable. Great stuff: Fantastic handling and acceleration! Meh stuff: The brakes are sensitive. Bad stuff: The handle has broken off, and the sunvisor has come off and costs over $100 to replace. The hatchback tonneau cover is a pain in the A... I just ripped it out. The hatchback falls on my head every time I'm putting groceries into the back. Very painful. The accent does awful in the snow. I'm used to AWD vehicles.

A 2013 SE black Accent hatchback has changed my perception of the Hyundai brand,... I've owned nothing but yotas and Hondas civics and rollas and I was sure this was going to feel cheap and be lackluster in it's performance but let me tell you that it's incredible little vehicle with a very nice interior standard satellite radio and with 138 hp and it's light weight , paired with a smooth fast shifting 6 speed and beautiful 16 alloy wheels sport tuned steering is very well done with great road feel and feedback with a nice weighted feel as the speeds go up... The acceleration from a stop will surprise you , very peppy...
