Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Lots to like, but....
I purchased this Ridgeline when my wife commandeered my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. After researching several trucks, we decided the Ridgeline best met my needs. Purchased online as the only dealer who had the Pewter color I liked was 4 hours away (Thanks Gunn Honda San Antonio). There are lots of things to like about the Ridgeline. It rides very comfortably. The mileage is good. I love the dual tailgate and trunk. And the rear bed audio is cool. The engine offers ample power for my needs. And the AWD is good for little off roading I need to do (some ranch work and such). I am mostly happy with the "Ridge", yet there are times when I look at it and think..."it just doesn't LOOK trucky". It's not ugly by any means, but it just has such an SUV look to it. The Firestone tires that came with the truck are, again, adequate, but not very truckish (I do plan to replace them with all-terrains). One big complaint is the stereo interface. I knew about it going in, but didn't realize how annoying it really is. It's not very user friendly, although the actual sound is pretty good. My last complaint is that the turning radius is kind of wide. Remember this when parking somewhere. These complaints are really overall very minor. The truck does what it needs to do and does it well and comfortably. If you can find one at a good price, I highly recommend it. However, if you like a beefier look, hold out for the 2021 which seems to fix alot of these issues. Update 2021. The Ridge is doing fine. Runs well (did great at the beach) and is comfortable as a daily driver. Other than the aforementioned stereo and less than trucky looks, I have no complaints..

Awesome!
This is a vehicle that comes with many standard features. I love the flat gear shift and the good ride.

Honda Ridgeline RTL
The Honda Ridgeline truck is the best riding truck that I have driven. This truck drives much like a car and is much easier to maneuver than my former GMC Canyon. The composite truck bed and hidden cooler under the bed is a nice touch. There is now ample room in the back seat area to transport my bicycle. The storage is much better than the other trucks that I considered. I am very pleased. with my decision to buy the Ridgeline. This “truck” has plenty of room in the back to haul items if you do not want to use the truck bed.

Comfortable, lousy warranty
Something I learned at 45K miles: XPECT TO HAVE TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL OIL CHANGE AT 45K (most highway) miles. Honda recommends timing belt and water pump at 60K. Those are very expensive. Personally I am shocked that anyone will make an engine with a timing BELT in 2017... Honda warranty handling is appalling and you are buying into a gamble- stacked against you. They will not hesitate giving you used "remanufactured", or otherwise said "someone else's problem"), and do so even after repeated failures. You can show them 100% proof of an intermittent problem, but as their own guideline say, if the tech cannot replicate, the process ends and you are screwed until the warranty is over. I understand that the radio/nav is the same as in my 2017, which failed intermittently several times/ When by accident I managed to show it in store they replaced it TWICE with a used unit. If you buy a Ridgeline or any other car with this radio/nav, you are stuck - you cannot replace with non-Honda since you lose the capacity to set most car parameters, and you purchased a piece of junk that Honda will not stand behind. They will just replace one problematic unit with another, because for them an intermittent problem they cannot see apparently does not exist, even if you show video and pictures as I did. In short I am forever on my last Honda - car, motorcycle or airplane (Yes, I do try to warn my pilot friends of their airplane). The issue is less the technology than the lousy corporate attitude. I am now looking to replace my first and last Honda. From top cars they became... you decide.

Top safety pick?
How does one receive a top safety pick with such paltry braking performance? forget the nanny driver aids, as they cannot slow this car any quicker or shorter. I value shorter stopping distances as to avoid a collision altogether. It took Honda decades to rectify both the civic and accord brakes, perhaps next decade the ridgeline will follow suit,
