Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline Consumer Reviews
After 2, there will be no ‘third-time’ charm’
To be fair, I read the other reviews here. Truly, this is not a bad vehicle, though I must admit, I haven’t driven one for enough miles or years to know this for sure. Pros: lockable trunk under the bed ; twin-action tailgate; nice looking; nice comfortable ride. Even entry models have neat features and the low models do not sacrifice any of the other ‘Pro’s’ listed.: Con’s: interior is entirely too small, unless everyone in your group is around 5 feet tall; tires are way too small for any kind of aggressive driving needs, and it would be difficult to upgrade to a larger size due to the technology and the lower powered engine; it rides great until you add a load but then feels taxed and even a bit unstable; even though it can tow, you can’t tow much; rear doors are very small, and they don’t open very far making it difficult for an adult to comfortably access in and out. Overall, if you’d like a truck, yes, you can call this a truck, which is trendy, with a complimentary smart feel, giving you an ability to perform very light duty, in the event this is all you need, and you’ll be mainly the only passenger as the driver, with the possibility of one other front row passenger, the Ridgeline just might be for you. From what I read this is a Pilot with a bed. Since the back seat is non moveable though, you’ll need small rear passengers or they’ll be uncomfortable, unless you want to be uncomfortable yourself during driving while nearly making body contact with the steering wheel. In other words, you sacrifice comfort for the bed; so make sure it’s what you want. If you are not sure, buy a full-size. Yes, I know, this means you won’t be buying a Honda, but the bright news is, most vehicle manufacturers have progressed so much in the last 15-20 years, leaving Honda’s trusted old ‘dependability’ a little in the shade. Plus, you’re most likely not buying a car to keep for 20 years anyhow, which means practically anything will do quite well.

New SUV - SUPER Utility Vehicle
Love my new Ridgeline. Does everything I want it to do very well. It's part luxury cruiser, part SUV, part truck. It rides great, has all the tech, looks great, has a nice amount of storage, passenger capacity all while allowing me to hit up the local Big Box store to haul home construction materials, landscaping supplies, etc. So many cool, smart features that make this a Super Utility Vehicle. Update (7-11-21) Enjoy the Ridgeline for 7 months now and still really like most things about the Ridgeline but there are I couple things I'm not too enamored with. I really despise the door locks. I drive three vehicles and I don't want to have to read and memorize 18 pages of options and settings just for locking / unlocking the vehicle. I doubt even the vault at Fort Knox has 18 pages of instructions! Also, some of the tech,i.e lane keeping assist, etc. is impressive, it has limits and can even get annoying while driving so I don't use it. As such, not sure how much it adds to a price of a vehicle but until you can reliably depend on it, I don't like the idea of paying for something that I don't use. Would you pay for cable TV if it only worked sometimes? Well maybe that's not the best example but you get my point. ;) Other than those pet peeve's, I really do like my Ridgeline! Drives well, handles well, nice interior, lots of room and provides the versatility I was looking for.

All The Truck Most People Need
I have owned a base model 2006 RT and now just purchased a 2020 RTL-E. Simply amazing! I loved my 2006 (172,000 miles+) but it was time and Honda Days deals were pretty good...especially that they are doing midcycle redesign for early '21. As great as the '06 was, the '20 is leaps and bounds better...this truck is like driving a BMW with none of the hassle, costs, and maintenance. Home improvements, sports, mild offroading, and family vacations it does everything I need. Some find the infotainment clunky, but I don't have an issue with it. Drives, handles, and shifts seamlessly though pushbutton transmission is different but you get used to it in a few days. It is bigger than than G1, but seems to drive smaller. Only downside could be rear doors they are more narrower than G1 but honestly i am nitpicking now. Unless you need to tow boats or large items you don't need a traditional body on frame truck.

Car/truck...the best of both!
Drives like a sophisticated high-end car and does everything you’d expect from a heavy-duty truck. The tailgate party compartment is fantastic for secure storage.

Saved our children
Our Ridgeline did its job. It’s interior case saved the occupants after a person barreled into them (skipping a stop sign). Due to the weight of the truck it spun when the other car flipped. Grateful for the superior craftsmanship.
