2 Thumbs Up
The ride of our Honda Pilot is amazing. We love how quite the cabin is with the acoustics windows deadening any road noise. The seats are extremely comfortable and the best we ever had. The only complaint is the passenger seat doesn’t lift up or down and it sits a little low. The 12 speaker audio system rocks!

Best SUV out there!
It is solid! Spacious! Reliable! Has enough space for any growing family. Sits 8, can’t beat that. I think many GLS customers may trade down for this pilot. We test drove many cars (Tahoe, armada, enclave, palisade, XT6) but this one check all the boxes - trunk room, enough seating, gas, low maintenance cost, space. The only thing is I wish they’d made the driver seat a bit more comfortable for a 6ft guy. Honda, please give us comfy driver seats!

Amazing SUV
2023 Honda Pilot Elite - amazing SUV. After test driving all other competitors I end up buying Honda. It has a smooth and quiet ride, all techs that you'll ever need, acceleration is good without lag like some other competiotors that have 9 speed zf transmission. It's roomier than most of the other SUVs. Visability is excellent. It's extremely practical and family oriented SUV.

Great SUV, but a few flaws
UPDATE- 3-5-24 - Now at 14,000 miles the gas mileage has not gotten better and actually is a bit worse. Combined I can't push more than 19 mpg and just for HWY ends up being around 20 mpg. Again, I have not seen anything close to the stated mpg for this vehicle, which is disappointing for sure. I still do love the SUV. First off, this SUV has almost everything you would need from tech, features, overall driving experience. Of course, there are few things missing but that is to be expected and the things are just my wants. I currently have 5500 miles on it. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE - The screen could have been updated as well to the larger one as there seems to be room to fit the larger one so why they didn't do that is beyond me and I feel a pretty silly decision on their part. The passenger seat would be nice if it would move Up and Down which would be a huge plus for my 6'4" husband. I wish it also had the "Adaptive lights" which would be nice. THE GOOD - The features that are available are great and work pretty well. The seats are very comfortable and will work out well for longer trips. Blind spots are few which is very nice. The Sound system is really nice, and you can turn pretty loud with no issues. The ride itself is very nice and enjoyable. Although the 3rd row isn't very room with leg room, but head room is great. I didn't buy the vehicle for the 3rd row I bought it for storage and hauling and it's perfect. Very roomy and I just love the two-tone brown/black leather seats. The gray I looked at prior just looked cheap and would get dirty pretty quick. It is a nice-looking car and as white wasn't my choice as the car fell into my lap it is a very pretty white color. I just love the panoramic sunroof which was something I would not go without when buying a new car. The wireless Apple car play works great and connects pretty quickly once car is started. I love the auto locking doors when walking away from the vehicle. The and the mirrors that turn in is a great feature as well. Let's me know that my car is really locked. The 10 year/150,000-mile warranty is the best I have ever seen when buying a car so that brings me peace of mind for the next 8 to 9 years, as I do put a lot of miles on my car. THE NOT SO GOOD - Gas mileage has little to desire, it is not good at all compared to what they say it should be. I rarely drive my car hard and can barely push 19.5 miles per gallon combined hwy/city driving. Hwy driving, I most I was able to get was 22 miles per gallon and that's rare. When not in "Eco" mode the mileage is about 1 mile less per gallon. I usually average 300/320 per tank, I was hoping for better. I had a 2022 rental pilot elite and drove that much harder than mine and got way better gas out that one. Now I know that one is smaller than the redesign 2023 however when I was getting 23 miles combined and almost 25 miles HWY that seems to be a pretty noticeable difference. When it comes to "Lane Keep" well that is something I turn off 90% of the time as it doesn't work very well. It tends to jerk the vehicle between the lines way to often and is not consistent at all. Now the 2022 worked great and I used it the entire time I had it as a rental. If the lines are a slight bit to light the sensor can't see them and it will shut off over and over. Dealership that that is normal which I find to be untrue as the 2022 on the same road worked just fine. The sunroof has a bad rattle, and it is very annoying, and dealer can't figure out the issue so no fix can be done. (This is just me as I dislike rattles) The wireless charging. well let's just say is useless. It really doesn't work so I keep it off most times. If you have even the slightest thick phone case good luck with it working. The "Cooled" seats I don't feel work great, but I don't really mind as I didn't expect much from them any ways and just see it as an added bonus if I would ever really need to use them. OTHER SUVS I LOOKED AT- I also looked at the 2023 Highlander Hybrid, but the wait was minimum 1 year up to 2 years. The Lexus NX 300H which in the end I passed on due to it being another small vehicle and I didn't want that. Lastly the 2022/23 BMW x3 sdrive30i, but after researching the maintenance and the cost of repairs I choose to not go that route even though it was a beautiful SUV, and I loved the driving experience. I am happy with my choice still but just wish the gas mileage was a bit better. OVERALL, A GREAT SUV - I really do enjoy the car and glad I went with the one, I wasn't even able to drive it first before putting a deposit down on it, I know this review makes it seem like I don't care for it, but I really am very happy I purchased this one!

A Honda that’s not just reliable, but fun to drive
To start, I’d like to say we have owned just about every brand of vehicle, my wife loves to buy new cars, this 2023 Honda Pilot Elite is her 54th new vehicle. This is her twelfth new Honda and by far the best. All of the Hondas have been reliable, but not really high tech or that quite and comfortably. Honda has really hit a home run this time. Super quite ride, great handling, comfortable seats, great new look, high tech and a really nice Bose stereo. We love the heads up display, removable rear console, which stores in the cargo area and the front console works great for your armrest. The transmission shifts very smooth. The HondaLink provides a great deal of information and the safety rating on Hondas have always been excellent. There are so many cup holders and usb and usb-c plugins, plus 12v plugs and a 110v plugin, it’s really convenient. Another real plus, we are already getting better mpg than it’s rated to get. My wife really likes the huge sunroof too. Towing capacity isn’t bad either at 5000 lbs. I just hope she keeps this one for a while!
