Used 2005 Honda Odyssey Consumer Reviews
Not again
All aspects of handling have been great. The interior design is not comfortable on long trips. VERY NOISY. The driver seat is great if you are a small person, but the steering wheel cannot be adjusted in or out, so if you have long legs and torso, you would need exceptionally long arms to reach the steering wheel. We have the need for eight seats but the middle 2nd row seat is just a joke as a baby seat won't fit there nor can anyone over 5 sit in comfort without cramping the seats on either side. Getting in or out of the the third row of seats is just passible for small children, just don't make this a teenager passenger vehicle (soccer team?).
New Car
I'm 57 and this is the best car I have ever owned. I spent a week in snow storms and it handled perfectly. Very reliable and fun to drive.

Great van, great price
We opted for a used Odyssey over a new domestic because this van is a perfect fit for our family. Performance is great with a strong V6. Everyone is extremely comfortable in the roomy interior. The handling and ride are both terrific for a vehicle this size. The Lazy Susan is handy to have. And to top it all off, the exterior styling is far superior to the comptetition. Wrap in Honda's reputation for quality and reliability and we figured we couldn't go wrong.
Odyssey's a Disappointment
I was so excited to purchase the redesign model of this van after owning an Accord I loved. We had to move to a minivan after the birth of our 3rd child. We've had the power steering pump replaced 5 times, and we're preparing to put on the 3rd set of tires (@ 67K miles)! We've been told only 1 tire is made for the van-- Michelin --cha ching! I love the overall look of the van inside and out, enjoy the interior features and layout, and love to drive it despite all the aggravation. I must say, though, the van was a let down in general. I was really hoping for better fuel economy with the Honda reputation. I average 18 mpg around town.
Former Astro owner
I have driven 300,000 miles in my 2 Astro vans, without major problems. But I always felt that I wa driving a truck. The Odyssey gives a car-like firm, well controlled drive, has good sight lines, and is comfortable. But I am amazed at the wind noise; at highway speeds you need the radio on to drown it out.
