This car fits our needs perfectly. We now have 20,000 miles on it and it is great. it average 45.2mpg. We've used it for hauling yard waste etc. to the dump finding it holds an incredible amount. This is the best Honda we've had. It's a fun car to drive and cruises comfortable at highway speeds without sacrificing fuel savings.

The C-47 Cargo Plane of hatchbacks

I went to a recent auto show with my eye out for something to replace my venerable ford ranger pickup with cap. I had 3 criteriums. It had to be economical, it had to have easy entry and exit and...it HAD to have the capacity to allow me to carry my road bike INSIDE. I went over these points with the sales gal. She excused herself for a moment and when she reappeared she was wheeling 2 traditional frame city bikes (courtesy of two of the guys they'd hired to keep the vehicles shining) Lowering both the rear seats, she grabbed one bike and -handlebars first- guided it in to the Fits cargo area. Rear wheel first the second bike went in and she closed the hatch. ...Truth? I bought the car (well, a disco silver version..the mind boggling blue wasn't something I could live with)the next day. Know those 3' tall fridges you take up to the summer cottage? Pull the drivers side rear seat up and fold it back and you can carry one upright in this vehicle! The manual for me is a nice touch. ..I love manual gear boxes. That I was able to get cruise control (standard) with a manual was icing on the cake. The performance is decent enough (I had a 132hp 3600 pound ford truck ) and the fuel economy will put a smile on your face every fillup.

Reliable - Every person car

Update: mileage continues to deliver and may have even improved as I figured out that I got better mileage without the eco button on (and better performance). The high pillars in the back continue to prove a bit challenging for blind spot detection and if you can afford it, highly recommend the lane change protection. Still a really good car, very happy with it. On the cosmetic side, like many less expensive vehicles the seat fabric shows a bit of wear after a couple of years use which is apparent in some of the higher cost vehicles I have owned. The Fit is fit for purpose! It let's my family have the space we need for pre-school and kindergarten. Love the room in the back seat for my family and the price point. I didn't want a mini-van, and didn't want a midsize vehicle (in he outside). I am a hatchback fan and love the visibility that the this car has. Only drawback so far is the lane change on the central display isn't that helpful for me, and I rely on the mirrors instead.

Goid car but a few negatives

I have had my 2016 Honda Fit for about a month now. A few negatives: Excessive wind noise from front windshield when going over 45 mph...Passenger front window is very slow going up and down at times...the Ac vent air blows hard when decelerating and blows less hard when accelerating. ..and last, the engine pings loud at idle. I have addressed these issues with the dealership to see if these are common for the fit and I have yet to hear back from them. Its been 4 days. The fit is peppy enough and has plenty of room for my large dogs. I don't like the fact that these only come with black interior. .Dog hair and dirt really show up. Also, they don't come with floor mats. How stupid is that? Rubber mats from Honda are 170 bucks. Carpeted floor mats are over 300 bucks. Gas mileage is Good but gas tank is too small. Fuel like comes on at about 8 gallons. Too small. Also, no wheels...it has hub caps! Gross!! As soon as I can save some money i am going to get some wheels. I tinted the windows that made it look a little better. To me, this looks just like a small van. That's about it. Hope this helps in making your decision whether to buy one or not.

Love the gas mileage on this little car, wish it had a bit more get up and go, but it is a 4 cylinder. Overall am very happy with my new no frills auto.
