Do not buy a 2017-18 CRV
Oil dilution problem is a real thing and my wife drives short trips daily to work. Every single dashboard light on at 90k miles. The problem ended up being the fuel injectors that were full of carbon. I replaced the spark plugs, coil packs oxygen sensor, MFA sensor which made the engine run better, but did not solve the misfire issue that was causing the electronic sensors to go crazy. Thank God I had a local mechanic because the Honda dealer did not want to touch it and would’ve probably suggested to replace the motor because the technicians are what they are these days. I called Honda Corp and they said go to the dealer and will see if we can do a goodwill repair , meaning Honda will replace the parts, but not labor. I will never buy a Honda again in currently looking to trade it in for a Toyota. 4/1/2025 Update: Bought a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE, could not be happier with the decision. A better vehicle all around with a nicer interior and more features. There was a reason why they are the number one sold compact SUV. Test drive one before you even consider a CRV. Do some research around the Internet and you will see that later year CRV are starting to have the same problem now. I would not buy one, if you do get rid of it before 80,000 miles.

Poor engine
The 2018 was the second CRV I have purchased after 2 years I had fuel in the oil, reported it to the dealership, nothing happened. At 5 years my timing chain was stretched and the head gasket was leaking. Dealership tried to charge me $8000 for the fix even with trade in they wanted me to pay for the repairs. Poor customer service even when I called cooperate office to complain. I have been a loyal customer to Honda for over 20 years, never owned anything else. I won’t buy another! The turbo engine was loud and I didn’t find it a smooth ride in comparison to my 2009. My 2009 CRV had similar issues at approx 7 years with approx 150000 km. I had to buy a new engine for it and continued to have problems. I won’t buy another Honda mainly due to the customer service and how Honda tried to take advantage of me. 2 lemons in a row no thank you!

The car has about 33000 miles on it.
The car is everything we expected. Looks great and drives great. For a car that weighs as much as it does the mileage is wonderful. At 33k miles it has developed an oil leak somewhere in the enging area. This is a huge disappointment for me. I always expect Honda to go significantly longer without any issues at all!!

Quite a Quiet Vehicle
The transmission is smooth and the ride is very quiet. Even at highway speeds, there is no wind sound and little road noise.

New CRV Owner
I spent several months researching a replacement car for my wife. Consumer Report, Edmunds, and KBB. I was most interested in safety features, crash test, and repair records. The CRV won over all other in our price range

Honda CR-V is awesome!
The CR-V Touring AWD has so many features and settings you can personalize it in so many ways. As I access the online tech tutor and owners guide I am continually amazed at the new features I'm learning about. The ONLY negative comment I have concerns storage compartments. The CR-V has storage in the center console, the glove box and the storage shelves in every door. But my old car and other makes of new cars have storage compartments in the dash and on either side of the steering column. Adding them would make a great car even better!

A terrific suv
I have now owned the car for two years and I am very glad that I bought it! The gas mileage has been great, the safety features are excellent and the ride is comfortable for the driver and the passengers. The car does not have a pocket on the back of the driver’s seat, nor does it have an auxiliary jack, but other than those items the car offers more than others cars in the price and size range.

move the mirrors
Everything on this vehicle works great. The only complaint that I have is the driver-side and passenger-side rear view mirrors need to be moved up at least six inches toward the front of the car. In their present position, it is difficult to see what is coming in the outer lanes and you have to lean forward to see oncoming cars.

My new CR-V
After leasing a 2016 Volvo XC60 and having it breakdown 3 times in the first 2 1/2 years we could not wait to turn in the Volvo for the Honda CR-V. So far the CR-V has been terrific. When looking for a luxury SUV be sure you understand the issues that some have with the electronics. We feel we made a great choice with the Honda - our 14th car....

Our first CR-V , Great SUV
We bought this CR-V in Jan 2018. We have had zero problems with the Honda . Have owned it over a year now . No oil problems . In fact heard of no one in our area to have any. I would buy another in a heart beat . Had much better tech than the Rav-4 we looked at. Since then Toyota has come out with a newer model , so never saw that one . When we bought ours , it had apple car play and power seats . The Toyota did not . This is our 4th Honda and I think I like this one the best . The lane keep works nice as the other safety features like blind spot . Very comfortable seats . Nice sunroof . We get 28.5 mpg. Mostly city driving .

Outstanding car for the money
The Honda CRV EX-L is everything I was looking for when I decided to trade in my 2009 Acura RDX. If you are looking for a car that provides comfort, safety, great mileage with a stylish interior then the CRV checks all the boxes. I am thrilled with my new car.

Just not the car for me.
Although the vehicle was a great vehicle it was a downsize for me from my last 3 Honda Pilots and I sorely missed the space. I just never felt as safe in my CR-V and missed all the cargo space. I owned this vehicle for a shorter time than any other vehicle I have ever owned because it just wasn't the car for me.

three year lease, keep it or let it go?
rides nice, gets better gas mileage than my 2013 crv. I like how it handles, also better than the 13. Taken it to S.C. 4 times with no problems. going to do it again. (will have our masks)

Electronic and Safety Goldmine
I've been driving CRV's for 20 years because of their safety and reliability so it was a no brainer to stay with Honda when I was looking for a new car this year. I fell in love with the look of the 2018 CRV touring after seeing it on Honda's website and after reading all the safety reports from various sources. I've only had it a few weeks, but I love the way it drives and all of the safety devices in place. It accelerates quickly and holds the road well. There are so many features on this car that it's going to take me a while to learn how to use all of them. Can't wait to take it on my first vacation!

FORGET THE SUBURU; BUY A HONDA....YOU'LL LIKE IT
I've only had this vehicle for a couple of months. At this point, I LOVE everything about the vehicle. I've owned Honda autos for 40 years, every thing from Preludes, Hatchbacks, Accords and Civics. This is my first entry into the Honda SUV family. I love this vehicle from head to toe. I'm only hoping it will give me the service that my other Honda vehicles have give me. I'd own nothing other than Honda's as I've never had one minutes problem with any of my Honda vehicles. I don't think you could go wrong with this SUV. I am glad that I upgraded to the EX model. I think you get more bang for you buck. You get so many nice features the LX doesn't have.
