In Love with my CRV except...
The frount center storage in between the seats could be designed better. The arm rest slides and it is a nucance. I don't like how you need to leave it open for cord to connect device. Other than that I LOVE IT!!!ⁿ

High mileage and comfortable vehicle
I'm satisfied with the overall performance of my CRV-EXL. The best part of this car is the mileage which I'm getting now combined 30 MPG and I have also seen up to 40 MPG. Interior is much better than its competitors and you feel touch of luxury car with wooden like panel on doors and good quality leather seating. The only cons is little noise coming from engine and this may be due to the Turbo 1.5L engine. It has been almost a year and I'm enjoying my CRV.

More OOMPH! per cc
Simply put, this is a tremendous vehicle. I drove it across Wyoming and E. Idaho not too long ago, where the two lane highways carry lots of truck traffic in both directions. I had to hustle to get around an enormous 18 wheeler before meeting a line of oncoming trucks. I accelerated briskly, but didn't realize my speed until I got around the big rig, and when I got there I glanced at the speedo and was doing well over 90mph and climbing. That's a lot of moxie for a pocket-sized engine, and it got there with seeming ease of effort. I was suitably impressed, but even more so by the fact that my gas mileage was 37mpg. I traded my much lived 2016 Prius in on the Honda when my bum hip stopped me from getting in and out without a lot of contortions. No problems now! In short, this is the best auto I could have imagined for the money... I just hope that I'm not one of the unlucky owners who claim to be getting gas mixed in with the oil. Right now, it's #1 on my list of many new autos purchased. Update: the more I drive this vehicle, the better I like it! I took another 2,000 mile trip and got over 40 mph going over the highest part of the rockies. I much prefer driving it than my wife's Pilot. It's that good!

The 2018 Honda CR-V is my fifth Honda. I like it for style, reliability, and value. This 2018 Crv feel very luxurious, It feel that I am in a more expensive car but without the price.I am a very practical guy,I buy for value. Honda has met all my expectations in my car needs. I like nice cars but why pay a higher price when you don't have to.I don't like to show off with a expensive car, money in the bank make me more happier.

So far happy
I have only had it for 2 weeks but already put almost a thousand miles on it and so far Comfort wise is really good engine wise seems to be okay other than one time that I was accelerating on an on-ramp with the EcoBoost on I floored it and the acceleration was no good because I was pedal to the metal and the car was barely moving. The navigation could not get any reception 1 time as well, I try to use it on a daily bases. other than that so far so good.

Great Utility Vehicle
I bought this for my wife as she often needs to ship many boxes and this has a palatial cargo capacity for a compact SUV. Also, I like all the safety tech for her and my children. It’s also surprisingly peppy off the line. I’ve not experienced the problem with long time to heat up, the guy at the dealership says it has had a software update to deal with. The oil does smell of gas. The kids love the comfort and rear passenger room. I’ve added the Honda towing receiver to hold a bike rack, and put in OEM roof rails as they are rated at twice the cargo weight as the OEM crossbars. Want to put in crossbars and a kayak rack. Also went with WeatherTech floor and cargo liners. Basically making this as practical/flexible vehicle as possible. Really like everything this thing is good at.

Sounds like a tank on the road.
It is disappointing to think that a new vehicle, 9500 miles), can sound so bad on the road. Had it back to the dealer twice and now am communicating with Honda in an attempt to find a solution or cause of the loud grinding sound coming from the front end. I am told by the service manager that this is a problem that the company is aware of but has no corrective action to take to solve this problem but that they are working on it. They say that this problem only exists on the EX and higher priced models. I am waiting to hear back from corporate as to what they can come up with to fix this problem. When I asked if it could be the tires which are Hankook, I am told that they had another case where they had Bridgestone on their CRV. So, I am waiting and searching for a new vehicle. This is a continuation of this review as of 12/19/2019. I was advised to replace the tires on this vehicle which I did, at a cost of app. 650 dollars, and was surprised to find that it solved, (temporarily) the problem with the noise and vibration. This improvement didn't last long because after app 5000 miles the very same thing happened to this set of new tires. Again Honda said that they didn't have any solution to my problem. I finally decided that I had enough of this nonsense and looked for a replacement of this vehicle. I found a different brand of SUV and traded this lemon of a Honda in for it. I did notice that the very first thing that the dealer did with my trade in was to align all the wheels on this Honda. The dealer that sold me this Honda said that they could only align the front wheels and they were not able to align the rear ones. Finally I am happy to get rid of this Honda CRV and wonder how many other owners have had this same problem?

Great automobile and excellent gas mileage
Hello. I purchased a certified 2018 CRV LX 2.4 engine AWD with 12,900 miles off a 1 yr lease. Love the basque red color and gas mileage. Getting 31.3 mpg in the city and 37 on highway. I do my own oil changes and rear differential fluid with only Honda fluids. I added running boards, under dash and fog lights myself too. Other than oil change, I have not done any other maintenance and no oil or battery issues other see. This is my 8th Honda, (3 Crosstours, 3 Accords and an Odyssey previously. This is a keeper since I put 6,000 in 3 months. Wife loves AWD option. I do miss a CD player and the auto head light option. If there is a kit, I will buy. Also have to praise Honda dealer I buy from in Dover Ohio, was in and out in 25 minutes on sale of car. They’re did all paperwork before I got there (75 miles away) and all good. Perfect all the way!

Battery problem of newer crv
I leased a 2018 crv. It’s battery does NOT last a week, if left idle. I travel a lot and whenever I come back home I have to give my new CRV a jump start. I complained to the dealer but he said he can not do any thing. This is design problem. The car must run every day!!!. Any body buying a new crv must buy a jump starter with it.

2018 CRV
Purchased new our 2018 CRV. FWD. Factory installed Hankook Kinergy GT.. 70,000 tire rating. At 26,000 miles tires are down to minimum wear bars 2/32’s. Was told by Honda that there is no tire waranty on factory new tires. That the reason for them wearing out so fast was due to excessive heat while driving on the highways. We have had the vehicle serviced regularly by Honda including tire rotation.
Do not buy a 2017-18 CRV
Oil dilution problem is a real thing and my wife drives short trips daily to work. Every single dashboard light on at 90k miles. The problem ended up being the fuel injectors that were full of carbon. I replaced the spark plugs, coil packs oxygen sensor, MFA sensor which made the engine run better, but did not solve the misfire issue that was causing the electronic sensors to go crazy. Thank God I had a local mechanic because the Honda dealer did not want to touch it and would’ve probably suggested to replace the motor because the technicians are what they are these days. I called Honda Corp and they said go to the dealer and will see if we can do a goodwill repair , meaning Honda will replace the parts, but not labor. I will never buy a Honda again in currently looking to trade it in for a Toyota. 4/1/2025 Update: Bought a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE, could not be happier with the decision. A better vehicle all around with a nicer interior and more features. There was a reason why they are the number one sold compact SUV. Test drive one before you even consider a CRV. Do some research around the Internet and you will see that later year CRV are starting to have the same problem now. I would not buy one, if you do get rid of it before 80,000 miles.

“Reliable”
Personally, “Reliable” is the most important word when it comes to cars. I have owned 3 Hondas and they have all bee reliable cars. I purchased a maintenance package when we bought the car, which helps to keep it that way.

Don't diss the LX!
Love my 2018, very happy to have the old school non-turbo engine, plenty of pep and gets around 30 mpg on the highway and 26 around town and no worries about turbo problems. Buy a new 2019 LX because they are putting the turbo in the LX in 2020 models. Yeah it could use a few more features, but I didn't want a moonroof because I'm 6'4" and love the headroom, the cloth seats are very nice, don't need powered seats because I'm usually the only one driving the vehicle. I have the Gunmetal Grey paint and it looks great, I think the wheels are more attractive than the upscale version, I get tons of compliments on the look. My only complaints are that I wish a roof rack was an option, it needs more than one USB port, and the OEM tires are terrible in winter driving conditions, I replaced them immediately after almost wreaking, should have researched them before buying and insisting the dealer replace them. Will use them in summer only. Overall I just love the car, leased it because of a great deal, but will buy it at the end of the lease if not before then. 20,000 miles later and still love the CRV in town mileage averaging around 26, highway up to 31 on in-state trips when averaging 65 mph top speeds, 28-29 at 75mph top speed roads. Standard maintenance was a rear diff fluid change and oil and filters so far, no issues, no problems.

Great car for the money
After driving BMWs for 20 years, I had an urgent need to get a new vehicle due to a writeoff accident. I just wasn't ready to spend that kind of money but wanted all the newest driving aids. I am very happy with the choice. Everything I wanted for $20K less than a comparable BMW would have cost. Drives great. I am even happy with the much hated CVT that all the motor magazines all complain about. A bit noisy when you accelerate hard, but that is a few seconds occasionally. Mileage is incredible so long as you don't drive over 70. Mileage drops like a rock about that. Just turned 12,000 miles after 26 months. Nothing new to report. Still like it a lot.

Great vehicle with an electronics glitch
Traded my 2015 Pilot in for the 18 CRV. Love the vehicle, already have 44,000 miles on it. Car rides great, roomy, awesome gas mileage but one small problem. The screen for the dash has a problem, it does what ever it wants, whenever it wants. Honda says its a software issue that they can't figure out. My brother in law had the same car with the same problem. No fix yet, thank god it slowed down and does not happen much

still lovin it -- Great Car!!!
I love this SUV. It's big enough to haul stuff and small enough to fit in my gararge with room to spare. It drives great and I love all the options, brake hold, lane keeping and the new cruise control is fabulous. Five + years old and still looks and drives great. I don't have many miles on thr car, less than 30,000 but i take 3-4 short trips every day and it's always ready (knock on wood). the interior is in great shape very little signs of ware. STILL LOVIN IT!!

Back Home to Honda
Had an Accord in the 80’s and after many other cars came back to Honda. The CRV is a smaller mid size SUV that feels big. Plenty of interior space for 4 adults. Fit and finish of the interior is as nice as any touring car. The 1.5L turbo engine has plenty of power. If quick acceleration is required you feel just a touch of turbo lag but it picks up quick. The ride is pretty smooth with a bit of road noise. I think a pair of Michelin tires will fix most of that. The electronic controls/aids are wonderful. The manual does a good job of describing what each control does and how to engage/disengage each of them. I wasn’t too sure if I would use many of these gizmos but now that I have, I take full advantage of these aids and the drive is even more enjoyable. Cargo space is adequate. If the rear seats are laid down you can put quite a bit of cargo in the back. Enough to make my better half happy when she goes to yard sales. Overall we are very happy with CRV after 2 years. What else can you say, It’s a Honda. 4 year update - (30,000 + miles on the odometer) We still stand by all of our comments above. We are as happy today with the CRV as the day we bought it. Additionally, Honda service has been great.

Honda CR-V EX
I had a lot of questions about the 1.5 liter turbo engine and some of the problems Honda has had with it. I was assured that Edmunds does a thorough check on all vehicles they sell, including safety standards and if anything is found they will not sell it. After reviewing all they had done I felt a sense of relief and was confident in purchasing this suv. It is a smooth driving, great handling experience.

Crappy Red Vehicle 2018 Touring
Loved this car with all the bells and whistles which for $40k should be and planned on being buried in this car. ........until 2 years in, all the dash warning lights would go on for no apparent reason. Then they would go off for awhile when we hit the reset buttons. Then they would go off again so replaced the battery after 3 years. Last time it happened after battery replacement went on the Honda CRV owners forum online and saw all the complaints. Couldn't understand that so many years and owners had this issue and Honda would not address. Class action suit in CA about this and so I sold my CRV sadly as wasn't planning on spending all my time and more moeny at the dealership. Sad Honda not as reliable as used to be.

My new ride
This SUV will fit all needs for a family. Plenty of space and leverage
Possibly one of the best cars I have bought.
Of all the new cars I have bought, this is the one that has given me zero buyers remorse. It has great features for the price. The initial quality has been exceptional. It is comfortable and fun to drive! I have no complaints about this car! (Which is a LOT more than I can say for the Denali trimmed GM product that I recently bought)

NO AC AFTER 18000 mi!
Pre retirement bought first Honda used 2018 16000mi. Great room & mileage. Options on EX-L extensive. The bad = a known 2000$ AC issue (should be a recall) also the touch screen goes crazy flashing and beeping when on highway travel and the dreaded smell of gas in cabin two different times. UPDATE- Honda seemed like it might repair asked for another diagnosis 90$ sent in a lot of paperwork DENIED. Sold it. 6 months later get letter they will fix it. So no more Honda’s for us.

Poor engine
The 2018 was the second CRV I have purchased after 2 years I had fuel in the oil, reported it to the dealership, nothing happened. At 5 years my timing chain was stretched and the head gasket was leaking. Dealership tried to charge me $8000 for the fix even with trade in they wanted me to pay for the repairs. Poor customer service even when I called cooperate office to complain. I have been a loyal customer to Honda for over 20 years, never owned anything else. I won’t buy another! The turbo engine was loud and I didn’t find it a smooth ride in comparison to my 2009. My 2009 CRV had similar issues at approx 7 years with approx 150000 km. I had to buy a new engine for it and continued to have problems. I won’t buy another Honda mainly due to the customer service and how Honda tried to take advantage of me. 2 lemons in a row no thank you!

Love my car!
This is the BEST Vehicle EVER!
Love this car…with a few exceptions
This has been my favorite SUV ever, with a few exceptions…my battery died with zero warning. Luckily I was home and leaving for work. The second was a bit unsettling. The sunroof can spontaneously shatter at any time. When you research this, you learn its not all that uncommon and there are a number of class action lawsuits with Honda well aware of the problem…I’m just glad I wasn’t still away on vacation with my grandkids when the sunroof let loose..and it will cost you your deductible even with glass coverage because you’re better off replacing the whole assembly and not just the glass. Sadly this meant it came from a CRV in the junkyard so in theory-I could have the same issue again..aside from that, it’s a great car to drive even in the winter and the gas mileage is great for an SUV.
