I wanted a 4 wheel drive vehicle with good (nimble) handling, reasonable gas mileage, good acceleration, up to date electronics and convenience features. I wanted a great backup camera, good airbags, bluetooth /audio that works flawlessly with multiple phones, easy loading and roomy space for groceries and large bulky items, and NO navigation. The phone navigation apps are better than anything built in to cars, and most navigation systems ( built in) are costly and out of date before the car is shipped. My phone has multiple apps, with better AI built in, and I prefer to use it. Bonus feature on CRV is the right blind spot wide angle camera that comes on the big screen when you signal a right turn, or push a handy button. Both side mirrors have these extra features to allow viewing your blind spots and cyclists on the road. the price is really good considering this is my dream car. I traded my Jeep Wrangler as down payment and only pay same loan payment. I got a better extended warranty, and the CRV is MUCH better than my Wrangler. I do wish that the CRV would have some of the newer safety features, like a warning tone when drifting our of your lane on the highway, and a warning tone when you are backing up and get too close to a fixed object.

Serious vibration issue

Disappointed in the 2016 CR-V. It has a serious vibration issue. It appears that the vehicle was not designed to minimize the impact of the vibration of the engine and the entire car is constantly vibrating regardless of the condition of the road. In stop and go city driving it is less noticeable, but it becomes immediately apparent when maintaining speed at 45 mph and gets much worse at highway speeds - 65 to 70 mph. I did not see this issue mentioned in any online reviews and it was not noticeable in the test drive. I have subsequently discovered that there are many other CR-V owners with the same complaint and a class action suit has been filed against Honda. Honda acknowledges that the problem exists in some 2015 CR-Vs and claim they have developed a fix. They supposedly resolved the issue for the 2016 model, but that is not the case. Dealership has tried to fix it, but to no avail. It appears it is unlikely there will be a fix. In order to get increased fuel efficiency, they have sacrificed comfort for drivers. If you do any long range highway driving, I recommend that you do not buy this vehicle. I know many other loyal Honda owners and they have always been satisfied and impressed with the quality of the vehicles. Sadly, that is not the case with the 2016 CR-V. I will be getting rid of this car after owning it for less than 1 month.

Honda CR-V EX is a great value!

We researched all the competitors in the compact SUV class, and eventually narrowed it down to the point where the 2016 Honda CR-V EX was the only vehicle we were considering. Safety ratings were above all other competitors, and we really liked all the included features in the EX version and did not feel that any additional options were needed. We test drove it locally to make sure that we liked driving it, then began strategically shopping for the best deal. We loved the Edmunds "Price Promise" shopping tool, which really provides a great starting point for negotiating a terrific price. We got quotes from a few dealers through Price Promise, then emailed all the other Honda dealers within 100 miles of here to ask for their "out the door" pricing. We negotiated down the top two competitive dealers until they wouldn't budge any further, then contacted our local dealer (which does not participate in Price Promise) to see if they were interested at that price (which was about $1,800 lower than the original "invoice" pricing they had quoted us) and to our surprise, they were still excited to accept that offer. So, in the end, we paid about $700 less than the best Price Promise price, and got to buy it from the dealership right here in town. We could not be happier!

Previously owned an 'o9 Honda Crv Exl with Navi and loved it! The best little car I've had so far. The only think I don't like about the new EXL, is the interface, like the radio and no on and off buttons! What's up with that! I wish they would go back to the -o9 interface on the dashboard. It was easy to use and had more features like: more stations, 6 cd holder, better controls, etc. This one takes time getting used to. It's as if they threw the dashboard together last minute with finger push accesse to music, navi...For the money, I would think that they'd make it more user friendly is all. Other than the user Unfriendly dash, it's a smooth riding car...so far! I wanted to buy one last year, but heard about all the vibration issues, so I really wanted to take this one for a lengthy test drive. It seems fine. Love the interior beige leather too. Another thing I'm not too happy with is the audio music!! Omg, do they put any speakers in the rear??? because if so, it doesn't sound that way. The more I write, the more I'm missing my old car! I'm sure I'll get used to all the so called "updated" features in time. It's a really nice car overall, but dissatisfied with the audio/navi... It shouldn't be that difficult

No Vibrations!

I was wary of purchasing the CRV due to the vibration issues noted in the 2015 model and was on the verge of purchasing a Toyota. I'm glad I stuck with my initial choice because after more than 1,600miles in my 2016 CRV EX FWD, there are no vibrations at idle or driving. There are some vibration as with any car but nothing like those mentioned in the 2015 models. The ride is excellent with good sound proofing in city driving. Parking is super easy with the rear view camera and the big side mirrors. Sufficient storage areas. I can get the MPG as claimed by Honday, which is excellent. It's very comfortable to get in and out of the vehicle and the features are much greater than other SUVs I have compared, for the price (Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forrester, Ford Escape).
