When people test drive usually its on A/C so you wont feel much vibration, once you drive without ac then its frustrating, as soon as red or stop signal I see I am scared to stop this vehicle. I dont think even diesel engine will make such vibrations. Update: I went to showroom two months back they said they got fix from Honda for vibration, did something but the problem remains still and mileage reduced to 21. Now they say they did what ever Honda suggested and they don't have anything else to do. Called Honda no response.

2015 Honda CR-V Touring 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl CVT)

Let me start by saying I am currently in arbitration with the National Center for Dispute Settlement http://ncdsusa.org/ and will move onto Lemon Law litigation. I have a 2015 Honda CRV AWD Touring currently over 13k miles and have experienced an array of problems which really has put a sour taste in my mouth because of the numerous problems with our CRV and the type of response from Honda. I have taken the car into service departments that have either took note of, tried numerous fixes or not at all, but in the end we are told that nothing can be done because this is a "characteristic of the vehicle" and no fix is needed . I've even been told by my Honda dealer doing the warranty work that I can take my business to another dealer. I recommend you document all of your visits, even test drives with service advisors, log phone calls and make sure service records state what you reported, what work was done, what was noticed on test drives. I have met with District Parts and Service Manager, filed with Honda Customer Service, sent certified letters and all have resulted in the same response. This is a characteristic of the vehicle. Make sure to file these problems/complaints with Honda Customer Service 1-800-999-1009 and the NHTSA https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ so the government takes notice. Here are some of the issues you may experience with the CRV. 1. Vibration issues for mode 1, 2 and 3 before and after TSB 15-046 -Driving Mode 1: While stopped with vehicle in gear. -Driving Mode 2: While between 1,000–1,200 rpm at takeoff. -Driving Mode 3: While driving between 1,800–2,200 rpm around 40–50 mph. 2. Vibration at highway speeds 70-80+ 3. Shudder, stall when in reverse 4. Steering issues -Pulls left under acceleration when wheel centered -Does not maintain center/neutral position or track straight down the road without excessive intervention. -Intermittently needs unexpected intervention through turns as the steering is not direct or does not reflect input from the driver. -The steering requires more input in one direction versus another. Intermittently steering becomes very heavy as if no power assist is given. 5. Car whines/whistles when driving These are the problems my car continues to have after taking them in to get "fixed". Update: In the end Honda offerred me a few thousand to close out arbitration while not owning up to or fixing the problems. I unloaded the car as a trade-in since people seem to keep buying them. I watched the car sit at the car dealership for months and not sure if it sold or was sent off to auction. I was going to go through Lemon Law litigation but did not want to put in the time while holding on to the car. Its a real shame, I have a 2008 Acura RL and have owned many Honda through the years without any problems. But Honda's bean counters just screwed up. And now the new Honda Accord 4 cylinder is having issues with the Earth Dreams/CVT combo vibration. Read the forums. Google Earth Dreams Vibration. Go to NHTSA.gov and you will see all the complaints.

My 3 year review, same old problems. Car still shakes and stalls when cold. Not sure why people think Honda is so great. I have a 2014 Acura MDX that I put 3000 into this year and is very expensive to insure. I will never buy another Honda product. I just bought my son a 2017 Subaru Impreza, we will see how they hold up but I’m done with Honda and their crappie engineering. Also, who thought that blind side camera was a good idea? I can’t change directions on my gps while I’m drive but I can be blinded at night with that camera. My 2 year update. I still have stalling issues when I back out of my garage. I will take it into Honda again and I'm sure they will say the same thing that they can't get it to duplicate. I have called Honda several times and they say this is not an issue. I had a Ford Expedition with close to 200k miles that I now regret getting rid of. I would not recommend a Honda. Also the vibration issue is real and Honda does not care. They act like they have never heard of this. My father had a 1984 VW Rabbit diesel and this engine reminds me of that car. My 1 year update- while I still like the car, I have experienced many of the same problems other CRV owners have complained about. The worst problem by far is the CVT transmission. Many days I back the car out of the garage and experience a violent shutter and the car stalls. I haven't taken it back to the dealer because they will just say we can't get it to do it and it will just add to my frustration but I plan to drop it off when I leave for vacation next month so they can thoroughly test it. There is a definite shaking when at idle as the car RPM,s adjust up and down. The first car I drove was an old diesel VW rabbit and this engine is similar in noise but While it's not very Honda like I accepted that during my shopping but just know it doesn't get better if anything it gets louder. Disappointed that Apple Play will not be added. As I said in my original review Japanese car manufacturers have the worst technology but the dealer said it would be added in the next few months. I know a car salesmen who lied shocking. This is my first Honda after mainly Fords. Would I buy another Honda🤔? Probably not. I wanted to give an honest opinion on the Honda CRV after hesitating due to the vibration issue. I didn't want to spend more than 30k, I wanted AWD, room for 4 adults with space for cargo. I looked at the Rav 4, Forrester, Rogue,Escape and the CX5. None of them were perfect but the Honda was either as good or better in every area. As for the vibration issue, I've noticed at a red light, the engine goes into a very low RPM that does provide a slight vibration. I honestly would not have even noticed it, if not for the negative reviews. This small CUV is roomy, safe, comfortable, good gas mileage and really holds its value. After 1 month and 1,000 miles, I would highly recommend it.

I have owned my 2015 Honda CRV EX-L for about eight and a half years now. I like A LOT of things about it, but I was and still am annoyed by the rough idle/vibration/pulsation when I am in the drive mode and stopped in traffic. Also there is a rattle in the back cargo door that has been there since it was new. It idles rougher than any other Honda or Acura I have ever owned. With most Honda's, they are so smooth that you can't even tell the car's engine is on! I did read a recent Consumer's Reports Used Car magazine and found that the reliability and overall opinion of current owner's of this year and model of car is quite excellent. I've never really owned a car that didn't have some short coming so I guess this my 2015 CRV's. In the future I will take the Edmund's reviewers far more seriously next time before I buy a car. I have found over the years that nothing is perfect, not even a Honda or an Acura. I still feel that compared to a regular passenger car like the Accord, this car just makes more sense for all of its practical features and benefits. I am going to look at the 2024's soon. Mostly because I want to get a pretty good trade in on this one, and I have read the new CRV's ride a lot better than my older one does. I will also miss the CD player that is no longer available on most cars anymore and has virtually become extinct in the newer cars.

Vibration

Two major problems with the 2015 Honda CRV model. I bought the EXL on 9/12/2015 and after one week noticed: (1) while stopped in drive, with A/C off, and rpm at 600, the car was vibrating to the extent I was getting a butt and back massage in my seat. It's annoying to have a new car vibrate so much while stopped at a light. however once I turned the A/C on, the RPM increased to 900 and the rough idle stopped. The service manager stated Honda is aware of this problem and a software fix is pending....but when? (2) When my car reaches 70 or more, you can feel the front end and steering wheel vibrate. After three attempts with the Honda dealership, they performed a "road force balance" on all four tires. This stopped the front end vibration by about 80%. All these issues should not have happened with a new car. Sadly, had I noticed these problems, I would not have bought a Honda CRV. I noticed on the internet, many other owners of the CRV are having the same vibration issues and Honda does not inform customers about it until after purchase. I should have bought a RAV4. UPDATE: Nov 8, 2017. After I took my CRV to a second Honda dealer and was told the same lame excuse, "front end vibration is a normal characteristic of this particular model" I sold it soon afterwards and bought a new Toyota. Happy days are here again. Update 5/5/2017: After two Honda dealerships told me the front end vibration was a "normal characteristic of the 2015 Honda CRV and corporate Honda agreed too, I decided to sell it Dec 2016 and said adios Honda, no mas for me. Bought a 2016 Toyota Avalon and 2016 Prius C and love both cars. Updated on 5/5/2016: The first issue was fixed by Honda dealer and I don't have the vibration anymore while stopped in gear. The second issue with the front end vibration at high speeds was addressed again in April 2016. The dealer performed a "road force balance" on all for tires and wheels again. It corrected the problem about 90% but I believe the vibration will return after I drive it for several thousand miles like I did after the first road force balance. I tried to tell the service manager that I believe the vibration is not in the tires or wheels but either in the new engine or transmission or maybe the front end suspension. It appears the service manager isn't listening to me. I contacted corporate Honda again and gave my complaint....probably to no avail. Also, my wife has been complaining about how uncomfortable the front seat is. She gets lower back pain and butt pain after driving the car for long rides. I saw the same complaint by other drivers on the internet. Updated on 11/5/2016: After over a year of owning my 2015 Honda CRV, the front end vibration at speeds of 70 mph or more is still there, even after the dealer performed the road force tire balance. Vibration gets worst when I have the tires rotated. Took it back to the dealer in October 2016 and the service manager (1) changed out the rims and installed new tires. Vibration was still there. (2) Road force tire balance again. Vibration still there. (3) Service manager stated again, the front end vibration is a "normal characteristic of the 2015 Honda CRV" and nothing can correct the problem until corporate Honda develops a fix (huh?). I know many 2015 and 2016 Honda CRV owners have this problem and corporate Honda needs to man up to this and fix it. Honda has lost a loyal customer and many more like me will follow. Adios Honda.
