Used 2014 Honda Accord Sedan Consumer Reviews
Good car but still has error.
I bought my 2014 Accord 2.4 EX-L one and a half month ago. The first time, due to I just moved to Georgia, they denied to give me a road test with another state's driver license. The first time when I received it, it was a good car. But after 3 weeks, the Forward Collision Warning poped up random while nothing in front of my car and the camera was clear. I took it to Honda Service for 4 times about this problem. They told me that they checked everything and nothing wrong. When I drove the car home, it happened again and they told that it was weird situation. I need to bring it many weeks to check this problem, but nothing solved. The other problem is about the noise from the windows.
So Far, So Good
Purchased my 2014 Accord LX CVT new in late October, 2014. So far, they only issue I have had is with the TPMS light coming on with 94 miles on it. Dealer admitted they forgot to calibrate it when it went through pre-inspection delivery and apologized for the error. No problems since that happened. After all of the great Honda incentives, I ended up paying $19,419 plus TTL and took advantage of the 0.9% for 60 months. All of this makes this vehicle an incredible value.

Abs failed at 80k miles
Been an owner for many Honda’s & Acura’s (83 hatch accord, 88 integra, 90 accord, 94 & 95 civic coupe, 2000 accord, 2001 mdx) these are own my myself & my family. All pretty good cars without engine or tranny issues, not to mention ABS issue. Fast forward to our 2014 accord at 80k miles, ABS issue just fixed today at dealer $1.7k. I tried to bring to non-dealer shops to reduce cost but they said only Honda dealer can repair, crap.... Summary: I doubt I will ever own a Honda from here on, they are just not the same anymore, look at the amount of Honda’s / Acura’s we have owned w/ high mileages. I have the history to backup my claim so anyways old Honda’s were great , new ones not so great......just my opinion before u consider Honda’s, maybe the new ones are better? 2020+ who knows..
2014 Accord Sport Strut Problem
I usually don't write any negative reviews but when I was researching about the issue my 2014 Honda Accord Sports is having, I came across Dan's review here at Edmunds about the same car. He was going thru the same issue as I am going thru my car and at that point, I realized that I am not the only one going thru this issue and we need to make all the Honda owner aware about the issue. All the Honda owner should know that how Honda doesn't stand behind their product and this is the last things I ever expected from Honda. Like Dan, I started having an issue with my car when it had 15000 miles on it. I started to hear roar noise from the back tires and I took it to the dealership. The tires were cupped but they assured me that there is nothing wrong with my car and suggested me to replace the tire. I always do all my regular service on time. Like Dan, I also took my car to different mechanics, they all told me that it would be a waste of time and money but I got all four tires replaced anyway. Fast forward now, my car has 40000 miles on it and all four of my tires are cupped again. I was stupid not to get rid of the car then rather I invested all the money on new tires. Now Honda dealer told me that the tire is too soft and I need to get another pair of different brands of the tire which will solve the problem. This is the last Honda I will ever buy. HONDA DOESN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

2014 Accord High Mileage 10 yr Run So Far
Car has been reliable and has driven well. Been 121 months and have 313K miles. Oil changed 53 times w/ full synthetic OW20 oil; transmission fluid 9 times (every35K); coolant 4 times; brake fluid 2 times; changed spark plugs twice; serpentine belt twice; brakes twice. Changed air filters about once per 18 months. Have replaced one wheel bearing and had one tire speed sensor go out. Blue tooth system reliability has been only a B. Comfortable ride for front and back seats, cruise still works well. No issues with AC, power windows, water pump, power steering, radiator, blower fans, exhaust train, etc. Steering wheel radio/cruise buttons' black paint fades away, need to touch up with acrylic paint. Very satisfied overall. Will run it until it dies.
