2013 Honda Accord EX-L 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (2.4L 4cyl CVT)

Previous vehicle was 2009 EX-L w/ Navi. New vehicle is 2013 EX-L w/ Navi. Was very excited about the new Navi but leaves a lot to be desired. Terrible voice recognition and system freezes up to point you have to turn vehicle off to reset! Many features not available while driving anymore.. (I realize this is new safety standard.) But, if voice recognition doesn't work system is basically useless. Text message feature doesn't work with my Droid HTC Thunderbolt. Guess system was only built for iPhone? Squealing noise in front left wheel area or power steering. Already had car at dealer with less than 3k miles. Arm rest not as big as previous model and doesn't slide anymore..

New LX CVT purchase - first impression review

Previous car 2000 Accord LX. The value is huge with the features, for the money it was tough to beat. Great deal too, I purchased on 12/31/12 at invoice plus a $500 credit for using Honda Finance. My only frustration is that my 2000 6 speaker stereo sounded better than the 4 speaker unit in the 2013. Also the center console is smaller and does not have the upper tray, just less storage overall. The dash layout is fantastic, the climate controls are minimal in the space it occupies, and the i-Mid control in the LX is much easier to use compared to the dual screen arrangement in the EX-L and above.

Beware

2013 Honda Accord Sport 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl CVT)

It's a pretty good car, but buyers beware of some strange features. The Sport edition has some weird thing on the steering wheel called a paddle shifter. It's there so you can get the feel of a stick shift on an automatic. But the problem is... you go to hit your blinker, and lo and behold you've just downshifted going like 80 miles an hour... really dangerous! The other weird feature is the driver's side rear view mirror. It has a second little mirror attached to it. This bends the image of the oncoming car. I'm driving down the interstate, and this car is coming up beside me, and to my surprise he cuts over into my lane and nearly sideswipes me, so I swerve. But that was only an illusion.

I traded in my great 2003 Camry for this lousy brand new Accord. Why lousy you ask? Let me count the ways: 1. Big problem with electrical system. In 6 months that I've had it, it stalled & all indicator lights came on twice. Dealer has no clue what issue is. Tire pressure light comes on nearly all the time even when tires are properly inflated. 2. Very noisy on the highway. 3. Uncomfortable, hard ride especially noticeable on long drives. Coupled with the highway noise, it makes for very unpleasant long trips. I'm planning on selling it and buying a new Camry.

This is my 6th Accord & 8th Honda. I want to like this car but I do not. I love the look of the car, inside and out but that's where the love ends! I find the ride to be terrible. I don't know if its due to the redesign or a shorter wheel base, but the ride seems choppy to me and the suspension is so stiff that every bump seems amplified right into the passenger compartment. The stiff suspension may seem sporty at first but after 8K miles, you'll be tired of it. Another cause might be from the leather seats. The leather is too stiff and there isn't enough padding on the bottom which could contribute to the the fillings in my teeth being jarred lose! Also having radio issues.
