Hondas
I just got my accord 7 months ago i haven't had any problems with it, it has almost 67 thousand miles on it. Love it
A Honda family
I own a 2002 Honda Accord V-6. My wife had a 2002 BMW 225. We replaced the BMW with a Honda Accord Hybrid. So far we have had a very positive experience with the new hybrid. Our driving has been expressway/city street and we have averaged 32 plus miles per gallon. On the expressway we seem to get about 36 MPG. Love the car.

New Accord Ex-L with Navigation
Just purchases. Was a little disappointed with some of the features that seem to be standard on other cars in this price range. Other than these little things, I love this car. The navigation system is worth the additional cost (not to mention fun to play with). Wish I would have purchased the V-6 because the car seems a little underpowered. This is all I can complain about. This is a well built car and a great car to drive.
I LOVE my Honda
I've made three payments on this car and it's the first time in my life that I don't mind writing out a check! The UMF suprises me--sometimes it seems like my car just wants to get up and go (lots of power for a 4 cyl.). It's very stylish and it looks like I paid alot for this car but I didn't. I was blessed to pay $19,990 for this car + TTL. Very affordable. Unfortunately some dummy in a 1980 Toyota rear-ended me last month (ouch!) but my bumper did what it was supposed to do and my car is back to the war it looked-- beautiful! I recommend this car to anyone who enjoys driving a sedan.
awesome
Handles great with lots of power and nearly 40 miles to the gallon on the highway!
my new accord
Handles very well, instruments easy to read and are well placed, navigation is easy to learn, GREAT power!!, probably one of the best cars i'ved owned for the price....
Questionable Build Quality
Needed a new commuter car and decided to skip the Civic for the Accord Value Package. Great looks, great standard features, etc... Was very disappointed that the windshield glass had distortion in it and creates a 'wavey' effect as you drive. I also went to open the trunk for the first time and the lock fell out the back! The car also came with missing paint on the driver's door edge and a poorly done cover-up job of previous scraping. It's currently at the dealer for repair, but I'm not sure they'll fix the glass issue since it's not obvious when you're not moving. Hopefully this was an anomoly and the rest of the car is solid as historical Accords.
Notice
I have to talk about this car it is great! Not once did it fail in anyway. It did an outstanding performance driving from Ft. Hood Texas to Ft. Wainwright Alaska. I am a soldier. The drive was 4129 miles and this car handled extremely well.
New to Hondas
I've had my Honda for about 2 weeks now and it's great. Nice smooth ride and tons of standard features. I originally looked at Acuras and got most of the same stuff for a better price with the Honda. The interior is comfortable and there is plenty of room in the back seat for an adult. Oddly, the fact that it is so quiet and smooth has one drawback...in the 5 speed it's hard to hear the engine revs with the radio on so you better watch the tach!
Pilot or Accord, Mazda or G6
After much thought, we decided in favor of the 2005 accord ex with cloth. Although the residual value on the Pilot was better, with gas prices on the rise, we chose another accord. Mazda and Pontiac were considered, just briefly before trading in the 2002 special edition. It was the best decision, we realized significant improvements in the vehicle since 2002. I was impressed with all the upgrades, from the increased horsepower to the solid ride. The interior was well appointed and the cabin space slightly larger. Instrumentation was well organized and easy to use. Only one minor regret, the moonroof didn't work. The dealer was aware of a fuse problem, otherwise, very satisfied.
3 Years 36K No Problems
Bought our 05 at the end of the model year to get a deal. We're completely happy with it, and have had absolutely no problems. We consistently got 30 mpg city/highway combo, then started getting around 35 mpg once we slowed down on the highway a little. This is a perfect commuter car. Plenty of response and power in traffic. Typical tight Honda feel. No squeaks or rattles ever. This is our 3rd Accord, none ever leaked a drop of oil. Only minor issues are that the seats are a bit firm for long distance driving, the stereo isn't that great, and rear door exit is tight -- have had people hit their heads on the way out.
Excellent, Great V6, Fun to drive it !!
We purchased this car a few weeks ago and love it a lot so far. The engine is very quiet and pick up is amazing. We also own a 98 v6 2 door coupe and it's also amazing. We took on a 3 year lease and will very possibly end up purchasing this vehicle later after the lease ends.
So far...
...so good! Just got this 4 cylinder LX and love it! It's quiet and responsive. Haven't notice any of the rattles that some reviewers have indicated. Plenty of power at whisper volumes. Interior is well designed with everything within driver's reach. AC is ice cold. Mileage has been solid so far. No wonder this car is so popular!
Most practical sport coupe!
I am amazed with the practicality of the Accord! It has the best of both worlds: It is definitely fast, handles very well, and has a tight ride; on the other hand, it has ample back seat room, a cavernous trunk, and features normally found on more luxury models. I was originally looking at the Infiniti G35 but decided the extra ponies wasn't worth having back seat passengers hit their heads on the back windshield. The Accord is almost as fast while offering a lot more comfort. You really can't go wrong with this car!
2005 Honda Accord EX-L Duff's
The automobile Industry should follow in the foot steps of the Honda. They have it all together and the others should take notice and build a masterpiece like the Honda Motor Car Division has. In my own words the best most safe and solid car on the road today and that is not exaggerating at all. Driving this car everyday gives me a safe feeling that I know I am going to see my family at the end of my day. Thanks for building such a great Automobile Honda :p)
Wow!
I am so excited to own a new accord. This car is giving me everything I want. I can even go to Home Depot and fit an eight foot piece of molding in the cabin and still shut the trunk:)
You should get ONE !!!!
Im 20 yrs old and this is my first car .. and I'm glad it's my first.I have a 4dr honda accord EX. I love the driving experience it gets good gas mileage , and I have yet to have any problems with it. If I had the option to purchase another car I would probly stick with Honda and purchase the Pilot. I feel that Honda's are a safe and reliable car and I am a proud owner !
A must buy
A great investment in terms of resale value, reliability, luxury, and sporty.
Good Car
It has a Smooth ride, great maneuverability and excellent braking, beautiful leather upolstery plenty of room inside.
Great Choice
We like the secure handling, comfortable highway ride and reserve power when needed. With full load of luggage and passengers, the car handles very well and provides excellant gas mileage. A/C, sound and convenience features are fine. Sloping hood seems to invite stone chips and one minor rattle in the passenger door are only problems so far.
Example of good engineering.
This car is very well-thought-out. Interior is very comfortable, ride a good compromise between handling & smoothness. Engine is very quiet & smooth for a 4, except for a slight vibration at about 900RPM (3-5MPH), which I am told is "normal" for this car but is mildly annoying. Quiet on highway, except for slight, nconsequential road noise on rough pavement. Steering feels sporty for its size on the highway, although in this regard my '94 Accord was a little better. The car feels more powerful than it is. Overall, this car does everything well and nothing poorly and is, in my opinion, the best overall choice in its class.
Finally a car I'm happy to drive
I've had my Honda EX-L for just over 2 months now. I find myself HAPPY to drive again. Comfortable seats, a nice zippy engine that doesn't suck the gas every time I punch the gas to get on the freeway is always nice. It's easier to maneuver than my FORD vehicle I traded in and is much more stylish.
Own it, Love it
Owned a 2000 Accord and was so pleased with it that I purchased a 2004. I like the exterior design much better and the interior is much nicer as well. Nothing compares to the reliability of the Accord as well as the fit and finish. The car handles very well and the road visibility is superior to all others I test drove. I highly recommend this vehicle if you are looking for a sporty reliable vehicle that is roomy enough to double as the every day family car as well.
Best yet
I have owned quite a few cars and until now, with the exception of a VW beetle in the 70's (forgive me; it was the time) I had always bought American made, and always had issues before long. When my son was eighteen and bought his first car, he bought a four door, four cylinder Accord. While nice looking, reliable and easy on insurance esp with a teenager at the wheel, it didn't seem to have that extra kick. So last year when I needed to decide something about a vehicle, I saw an ad for the 2dr coupe and well, it is sitting in my garage now. Black with black leather and maxed out with the 6 cylinder engine, I haven't had so much fun driving ever. I LOVE THIS CAR. and so will you.
WOW!! What a wonderful car top drive
I traded in my 05 Nissan Armada for this car because of gas prices, MPG and we moved farther out from the city. We are getting 31.1 MPG now as compared to the 10 MPG in the Nissan Armada.
Just Love the V6
Although just had the car for 2 weeks, I am very impressed with the quality comforts and handling for the price. Just traded a 2003 Camry which I loved and although the Camry was more quiet and provided a smoother ride, the interior comforts, handling and extras of the Accord definately make up for it. I Definately recomend it.
Great Value For Ride, Price & Size
Paid $ 17988.00 including destination end of 05 yr. THANK YOU Edmunds for posting the $750.00 roll back to dealer! Gas mileage is kicking in now. Nice drive around town -handles 75mph highway with no problem. Brakes are rated good for disc/drum set/up as well as turns. Road noise does not bother me. All and all this car is almost a #10 for its class.
Gas Mileage to Improve?
Bought the Accord Hybrid 1 week ago. Almost through the 600 mile break-inperiod. Wondering what other Accord Hybrid owners experience is with the MPG. Right now, I'm only getting 25-27 combined city/highway. That's a bit under the sticker - 31 city/37 highway. I drive 47 miles highway each way to/from work.
Saves Gas
Honda has truly outdone themselves with this car. 255 total hp (240 V6 and 16 electric) provide a quiet yet substantial driving experience. This car has tremendous acceleration through the mid range to top end. From 50mph to 75mph with gas/electric combination in 4 seconds is impressive. Max fuel efficiency for me seems to be in the 62-64 mph range. At this speed on I-95 I can get just shy of 40mpg. Around town the mpg is just above 28.
Honda Hybrid
This is the second Honda hybrid I've owned. I traded a Civil in for my present Accord. It doesn't get the same gas milage as the Civic but is one of the most comfortable cars I've ever owned. It is a joy. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see Hummers and monster SUVs parked at gas pumps as I drive by.
As Expected
My 4th Honda and 1st Accord. Not having too much success w/ my previous purchases (especially the unreliable '01 Civic EX) I decided to give the Accord a try. Overall it's a very good car. After driving it 3k miles, I find the car to not excel in any one area, but neither are their any deficiencies. It's quiet, comfortable, safe, peppy, attractive, with great gas mileage for a 3,500 pound car. The brakes are mediocare at best (and far TOO sensitive...they grab abruptly at low speeds, at times so hard causing the seat belts to lock). Other than that I'm pleased with my purchase.
Accordingly
I've had my Accord for almost 5 months. I must say that I like the car a lot. It does everything well, but nothing extraordinary. It's peppy, has great looks (inside and out); is comfortable; reliable; great value; but a boring driving experience. It's a perfect car to get you to/from in style, knowing the end result will be a car with great resale value; low insurance costs; good safety record; and very good gas mileage. It's a buy.
My 05
I last owned a 1990 honda accord and loved it.But my 05 accord is nothing like the 90,the motor and transmition are the smoothiest i have ever seen the interior is quiet and comfortable the XM satelite radio was a nice addition
fun car to drive
I had a 92 honda accord and loved it, it was reliable and fun to drive, when looking for a new car I knew I had to get another honda. I got my first speeding ticket with this car, (I couldn't feel the speed) I got used to the 130 hp. going 90 in this new car felt as if i was going 65 in my old car.. I was impressed with the power, acceleration and handling..
Refined I4
The I4 engine is smooth and quiet and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The interior design is top notch. The cd player is surprisingly good. There is lots of interior storage. The cloth interior is one of the best ones I've ever seen. The wheels are very nice looking. The EPA gas mileage ratings are pretty low this car is capable of 38 MPG on the highway and upper 20s around town. For the price it's a really good value.
Honda needs to learn from the Europeans
I've had 4 Hondas over the years, and several European makes. I purchased this car this week, and in the first 400 miles I realize this was a mistake. While Honda manufactures wonderful engines and transmissions, and are generally user-friendly, the steering and suspension are COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENTS. The car drives like a rollerskate, fights changes in direction, rebounds off any inperfections in the road, cannot track around bends to save itself, and has a completely unacceptable amount of road noise resonating in the cabin. I drive 100 miles a day, and this car makes me tired with steering corrections and road noise. This car is pointed in directions - it doesn't "handle" at all.
No spare tire
I also was surprised to learn that this car does not come w/ a spare tire. I went to a used tire place and purchased a full size spare /used rim for $85. I am wondering if this heavy tire will affect my gas mileage. I plan on only using it for long distance trips. Also was disappointed that I had to purchase the compass/ auto diming rear view mirror...think it should have been standard on a $30K car! Love the satellite radio and the car drives really smooth. So far the mileage indicator has been 32 at the highest number, 28 lowest. Fun to drive, really quiet. Very comfortable.
One of the Best
I've had this car for only 1 week now and if it's possible to love a piece of metal, then I must admit, I love this car. I find it to be a really fun car to drive, plently of pep (for 4 cyls.) and extremely comfortable and responsive. I would unhesitatingly reccomend it to anyone who want a quality car at a resonable price.
10 days, 1,000 miles and lovin' it
Couldn't be happier with the Accord. I really liked driving a Durango for the past 7 years and the 3 Saturns we have owned have been fine. However, the Accord is the best. It is fun to drive, well built and gets good mileage.
Accord Hybrid....WOW
This is the best car I have ever had the pleasure of driving. You get great performance (255 HP) with luxury and outstanding gas mileage. The quality of the car is amazing. Everything about the car feels awesome. I feel like I'm driving a Porsche. The reliability of Honda puts my mind at ease. I highly recommend this car. Having my cell phone charging in my center armrest while out of view is very cool.
Great car for the money
I was shopping for a car w/navi in the $35,000 range-G35,TL,ES330.I really didn`t want to buy an Accord because you see so many of them on the road. The more I shopped the better the Accord looked. For over $10,000 less than I planned to spend I got a well engineered car thats comfortable and fun to drive. The interior is well done with nearly all audio and climate controls avilable on the steering wheel.
Crummy Paint
I am surprised to find out that the white Honda Accord that I purchased has only two coats of paint on it. It does not have the clear coat because it is white. A small pebble apparently hit the hood. Now it has to be painted. I have two places on the rear bumper that the paint scrapped off while the car was at the airport. A Honda dealer while I was on vacation told me about the paint. I have never had a car that has paint that just flakes off. What can I do? I bought this beast in Sept 2004. It is a 2005 model. I wish I had never even seen this car. It has a high pitch whine from the front. The first 100 mile trip I went on there was a constant flapping sound from toward the front.
Finest Car I have ever owned
Interior is top notch, everything easy to reach and operate. Leather heated seats are terrific. Moonroof is great and have had no problems in the 2 months I have owned it. Contrary to what many people report about EPA rating, I am averaging 35 MPG on the highway, 27 in the city. Very impressed. Sound system is also excellent. Very roomy. Superior handling characteristics. Love styling of rear end 03-05 models. The 06 rear end looks like everything else on the road from a Ford 500 to Impala/G6/Lacrosse and Camry. Would highly recommend an Accord to anyone. Fit and finish are flawless on mine. Car is Black with Tan interior & spoiler. Gets LOTS of Looks & thumbs up.
Sweet Ride....
I've had the new Accord EX-L for about a week. It is one sweet ride. Some reviews have complained about road noise, but it's not a problem for me. The car is quick and responsive, escpecially for a 4 cyl. car. The auto tranny is unbelievably smooth. You can hardly tell when it shifts. Handling is great. The interior has a quality feel. I especially love the XM radio that comes with the leather package. One catch is that the front passenger seat does not have a heater in the backrest, just the seat. The brakes on my car are a little touchy, so I will bring it back to the dealer for an adjustment. Other than that, its the perfect car for me.
This is a short one
Basically I got the car in June brand new and I love it. Incredibly fun to drive. Great pick up. Everything about the car is amazing EXCEPT one thing I have noticed...there is a wicked blind spot to your back left. Other than that, I have nothing but great things to say about this car.
So glad I went with this car
After driving a Honda Civic for the past 7years, it was time to upgrade to its bigger brother. The engine on this car is AMAZING. Either starting at a red light, or passing on the highway, you always have more than adequate power.
Old accord great, New accord even better
Just bought the 2005 accord about 4 months ago. Previously had a 1993 accord that never had any major problems (Typical Honda). The honda is awesome. It has a lot more room and the ride quality is outstanding. Personally i would have perferred the V6, even though 2.4L has plenty of power.
At end of first 3,000
So far so good. Have also noticed the blind spot in rear, so have to be careful. Everything else is typical Honda, well thought-out and dependable.
Love my Honda
This car is not only fast, it is classy! The heated seats are great, and the navi system doesn't let me get lost. For me, the navi system was a necessity, not just a luxury. This car is safe...safe...safe!
Mileage Surprise
EPA rates this V6 Honda EX at 22/28 MPG, but I have found that the mileage is much better, at least for highway driving. I curise at 65 to 70+ MPH on the road and have consistantly computed 35 MPG and sometimes 38. On opnly one occasion I got 33. With the cost of gas this is a nice surprise. Since the car is new, I expect that mileage to get better over time. The rest of the car is excellent, but that's why I bought it. The XM radio is fun.
