Excellent Value
We bought the EX V6 w/NAV new in 2004. We've put 114,000 miles on it and so far have only changed the oil and replaced the tires! We have had no problems with the brakes or transmission. The V6 gives excellent power so we can safely pass uphill if needed. Handles great - takes tight corners without making a sound.
Nice face but ugly butt
This is my 3rd Honda and kind of surprised I bought the 2004 because when I first saw the 2003 I was turned off by the styling. It looked as if some bean counters at Honda had to cut some where so they lopped the rear end off. It took me a good year to get use to it. When it came time to replace my 94 Accord(which we gave to our son)the 2004 still offered the most bag for the buck. All the bells and wistles for $26K was too hard to pass up. I just don't look back(at the back end of the car unless I have to). Matt-Maine

Good and they know it!
A really dependable and basically fun car to drive in the 5 speed manual transmission model. Put 11,000 miles on this car in six months of driving it. A multitude of features that speak well of Honda's attention to driver and passenger needs. Would have bought a 2005 model, but my dealer bumped the model for model price up over $3,000 above what I paid for this car.
Happy camper....
This is a great car and I am totally satisfied with my purchase. The combination of performance, space, economy, reliability, quality, resale and value is unbeatable.
Great car!
Simply a great car. Bought for the wife. Lots of airbags. Good power to efficiency ratio. Low road noise.
Great Car
Great car. I've had the car for exactly one year and I have never taken it back for a single warranty defect. I've never had a car like that before. The only thing that I would like to have is a memory on the power seat and a graphic equilizer on the radio. Excellent radio (120Watts) without the equilizer I'm just being picky. Excellent quality leather seating with adjustable lumbar support and heat! I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Would do it all over again!
Thought you may be interested in a review from someone who has owned this car for 6 yrs. Just turned 204,000 miles. Only problem was the radio that was replaced by Honda. Replaced the alternator at 190,000 miles. Other than that, just normal maintenance. Lots of highway driving, getting 30 to 32 mpg. Brakes last far longer than any other car I've owned. Can't believe the car still runs so well. I keep asking my service man (independent) when the car might die and he keeps saying not anytime soon. The 4 cylinder doesn't have the initial burst that you would like, but the low cost of maintenence and the reliability more than make up for it. Would highly recommend this car.
Awesome car
Bought this car used with 78,000 miles, in little over 2 years we have put on another 62,000 miles. Change the oil every 5,000 miles religiously. Other than a new set of tires that is it. In my opinion the body styling looks better than the new models. I may look for a low mileage similar model when buying again.
Finally decided on the Honda!!
I spent the last few months reading Edmunds, CRs and other mags to help me decide which new car to go with. I test drove the Mazda 6, Accord, Altima (v6), Maxima, Highlander, and the Acura TSX. I really wanted the Mazda 6 - However, the "rust" issue scared me away. Came down to the Accord vs the Altima - basically I could get either one for the same monthly payment. I went with the Accord since it was more "practical". I just bought it 4 days ago and I'm very happy with my decission!! I love the inside fit and finish of the Accord. It actually looks and feels a lot like the TSX. But, you get a V6 and more room with the Accord!! I'm very happy with my decission.
Good Car
I have had the honda for about a year now and I love it. Have had an accord before and various american cars. Quality of Japanese cars is so much better. If you have only had american cars look at consumer reports on japanese cars. They are bullet proof! I had my other accord for 10 years with only maintence done on it. Never had problems with it like my american cars.
BANG for the BUCK
I don't know how Honda keeps doing it. Some how they manage to improve the Accord with every body change. This car has the power and feel of a luxury sedan costing $7K-$10K more. Gas mileage is better than any car in its class.
I LOVE MY CAR
Now granted I went from a manual everything stick shift Dogde Neon but this car is excellent. It gets the same gas mileage that my neon did, it handles nicely, it's a solid smooth ride. I don't even know it when I do 95MPH, not that I have done it officer! I am definetly a Honda girl for life!
Best sedan for the price
Purchased for less than $22K + tax, I agree with others, it is comparable to much pricier sedans. Very luxurious & loaded all around. I had been considering lower- priced cars to provide basic transportation, but decided to get something the entire family could enjoy despite the fact we have a Toyota Sienna van. The 4 cyl. is very peppy and frankly a 240hp 6 would be frustrating - it really isn't prudent or necessary to accelerate like that. The leather seats, the ride, sunroof, stereo etc, make this a car I will happily drive for a very long time. The stick shift is very smooth and rather fun, and lowers the price. The stereo & 6 disk CD changer rock.
UNDECIDED? GET 2004 MANUAL!
Folks, I have 65 miles on my Accord LX, stick. Shifts are precise, acceleration exciting, suspension hugs like a leech. I hear no rattles from windshield, doors, front.
Great Overall Car
Purchased this car in April 09' with just under 28k. Now at 58K and no problems. Great performance from the V6.Fuel economy is excellent at 28 - 32 mpg. I do my own maintenance which includes draining and filing the transmission fluid every 15k. "Honda Trans fluid only.
A little disappointed
You can't beat a Honda. We know we got a car that will carry us through, but we're a little disappointed with what seems to be sloppy engineering of the interior and inattention to fine details (see below).
My beautiful new accord
I have owned many Hondas, Most recently a 2003 Civic which I traded in on my 04 accord. I love the way my car handles. It is smooth and shifts seamlessly. The noise level has been drastically reduced froimprevious models.
Exceptional Value
Exceptional value is this car's best feature. Nothing comes close for the money. This car is FAST! The handling could be sharper, but this would compromise ride quality. Interior is top notch, both in materials and layout. Exterior styling is growing on me, still not real fond of the rear end. Fuel economy has been 23 Mpg in mostly city driving. Performance, comfort, reliability, safety, economy... what else could you want!
A mixed bag at best.
After 8 years in the Dodge Stratus/Chrysler Cirrus genre, I bought my first Accord. Acceleration was great but the bumpy ride and wide turning are inferior to the previous Mopars. Headlamps are incredibly bright. Fit and finish, upholstery, the small trunk and outdated trunk design leave room for improvement. Ditto for the expensive keys and inability to use power ports unless the car is on. Powertrain warranty is the worst of any major manufacturer. Interior had foul smell. Dealer tried to upsell.
This is AWESOME
Cannot believe the quality, performance and craftmanship in this car having traded our Volvo S80 T6 which, by the way, is the most expensive and troublesome car we have ever owned (Mercedes Benz and BMW included). This Honda matches and beats those expensive European sedans in every aspect!!!
Great value
I love the car wife was the one that suggested getting an accord because one of her coworkers had one, i found this one close to where i live and absolutely love the vehicle I have the 4 cylinder and it has plenty of power and great gas mileage i have been through 3 or 4 tanks and get 27 to 30 in the car.
good family car
Test drove both the V6 and 4. The 4 handeled better and had good power. Seems like it is going to be a great family car.
HONDA ACCORD
I LOVE MY HONDA ACCORD., I AM A REPEAT BUYER AFTER TRYING OUT A FORD TAURUS, WHICH I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH. (I HAD A 1997 HONDA TOO) .. I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER CAR BESIDES A HONDA !
Wonderful piece of machinery...
The Accord is truly an overachiever and provides you with the amenenities and performance of a $35k+ automobile (i.e. the Acura TL that I'd almost bought before I decided to test drive the Accord). The 6 cyl. is absolutely necessary for anyone interested in not being a turtle. The nav system performs remarkably well and the new voice controls are very accurate and provide control over the majority of the cars features, all without forcing you to take your eyes from the road. (This becomes very important as the Accord likes to move as an Ohio State Trooper pointed out before I'd even managed to shed my temporary tags.)
best car out there
Trust once you drive and feel the HP of ths car you will fall in love with it. The price is cheap and it is dependible
honda is number 1
this is my 3rd honda.i just love these cars they are wonderful.i just traded my '99 in for the 2004,and i love it.
My Best Honda Ever!
I have owned many Honda's in my lifetime and this one takes the cake. I love this car without a doubt. It's fun to drive, comfortable, and most of all it's affordable. The 6cyl is far more superior than the 4cyl I test drove. The leather interior is superb. I especially like the heated seats, XM radio, and all the new features in this new accord. I purchased this vehicle because HONDA cars are so reliable and these options and extras and a bonus for me.
Acura by another name
I traded in my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL at the end of my lease and "downgraded" to a 2004 Honda Accord EX-V6 w/navi. WOW! Up until that point, the Acura was the best value for a near-luxury car I could find. But this Accord is bigger, faster, has more gizmos you actually USE, gets better mileage, and is about $100/mo less in a payment. The warranty is a year less, but with a Honda you won't need it anyway. If you are thinking about an Acura, check out the new Accord first!
Like no other
Bought the accord 2004 EX with 33,000 miles with light hail damage. Never had any problem so far. I love the handling of this car, very comfortable and good fuel economy for a mid-size sedan. upgraded from my old car 1998 accord.
Love my honda
This is my 3rd Accord, and it is the best so far. I love the changes they have made to the new 2003 models.
I love my Honda
My Accord drives like a dream. It actually has more cabin room than my explorer. It gets wonderful gas milage and makes my commute fun!
Most wonderful car I've ever had.
I got the car 3/03 and it is absolutely perfect. The dealer was great, I got no bad surprises. It is beautiful, peppy, comfortable, did I mention beautiful? And reliable? I love it so much -- and so does everyone who sees it or rides in it.
I Love my Accord V-6
I love this V-6. It is my second..upgrade from 98 V-6 :The first model. This is a very smooth riding and quiet car. Has alot of power. Hardin Honda was great. Renaldo was my sales person. $400 under MSRP. I also had teflon coating. What an upgrade! the body just glows.
Luxury Car without Luxury Price
Traded in our 2001 V6 Accord Coupe for the 2004 V6 Accord Sedan. Loved both cars, but the 2004 feels like a luxury car without the big $ price. Test drove the Acura TL but couldn't justify the extra 8K for 30 HP, heated mirrors and 200 watt sound system. Recently drove in heavy snow in northern Michigan and it handled like a dream. Could not be happier. Navigation upgrade in 2004 was tremendous. Currenly own a 2003 Pilot, and the Navigation upgrade with Voice and larger screen are great. XM radio a great feature, plan on buying it after my 3 month free preview.
More trims wanted
EXV6 should come in cloth seats as well. Couldn't care a bit for XM but want the alloys, sunroof, V6, power seats. Road, wind, etc noise sources eliminated. Tight built is nice. A bit disoriented in city traffic not hearing other cars! Handling could be better, but is OK for 98% driving cond's. Good job on gas mileage on a V6.
'03 Accord V6
Have owned several Honda's and '03 is a nice improvement over previous. Quiet and smooth ride. Transmission shifting is very smooth.
ACCORDLX
THIS CAR IS FUN TO DRIVE AND HAS A GREAT EXTERIOR LOOK.
A very disappointed Longtime Honda Owner
I couldn't wait to buy this car. I have owned Honda for over twenty years. This car has been trouble right from the start! I have had so many problems that I can't list them here. My car is just over one year old and sounds so loud that I thought I had muffler problems. It rides like a ten year old car too! My dealer has tryed to do their best but can't do anything about the fact that this car is just not a well built car. I wish I kept my old honda. I have spent more time at the dealership with this "NEW" car than I have ever in the past. I can assure you that Honda is no longer built any better than any other car out there! Very disappointed.
Accord Rocks!
The EX, V6 pushes out 240 hp for the thrill of your life! Not bad for a Honda. From doing internet searches to 12 different dealers, was able to get car for $200 under invoice. Call Angelia at College Park Honda - great customer service. This is my third honda and the best one yet!
best honda ever
This is my 5th Honda.... It is by far the best Honda ever, as well as the selling dealer has been nothing less the professional. If you are considering a car, think about nothing else than a Honda
EX V6 w/XM and Navi
03 vs. 04 seat belt warning system and automatic front air bag deactivation system upgraded Navi DVD and software (20030629). For example, elevation is now accurate to 10 feet. XM is really nice. I never thought I would ever pay for radio, but I just might when the free three month OEM package expires. The drivers seat hip support is much softer. Electric seat are smoother running. On the 03 the seat edge was very firm/stiff. NO RATTLES in the 04. The 03 that I had was a rattle trap. The car suspension seems more compliant and it feels to me to ride much smoother AND quieter. Fit and finish seems much improved (tight gaps).
My 3rd EX
This is my third Honda Accord EX since 1991 and my second with the 6 cylinder engine. I went looking for a year end purchase of an EX with the 6cyl and Navigation. The navigation is a feature everyone should consider if they do any traveling or city driving. In city driving the voice command of radio and climate control is a very nice benefit. It allows more focus on the road. All in all, this is a very good value for the money. Also, I will likely subscribe to XM radio after the trial period. It's quite good.
Not a bad deal.
Overall, I'd say it's been a good car. I bought the EX fully loaded with everything but the navigation system, and I must say that I like all the features, although it's no Camry. But it also doesn't cost as much as the Camry. The ride is a bit firm, and it has a lot of blind spots. Overall it's a beautiful car, but when you're in it, it feels like a cheaper car that has been loaded with features. The Camry feels much more solid. And for some reason, I've been getting only 17 mpg! The dealership tells me it still needs to be broken in. I got an amazing deal on it though. 21,800 brand new. It actually could have sold it used for more.
The Best of the Best
First a word of advice... save up for the Honda Accord EX with Navigation. While it seems like a $1950 toy it just SEEMS that way. It is an AMAZING total computer...not just a route-finder like so many others. Now onto the vehicle as a whole. You will not find a vehicle in the 24-26k range (after haggling) that comes close to this car in any way. In fact I would put it up against any BMW 3 series and a substantial test drive will have you feeling the same.
Packed Full of Value
Past 3 years, Each year I have purchased new cars: Jaguar S-Type, Lexus LS430 and Lexus SC-430. You pay dearly for high-end cars. I decided try out the 2004 Accord EX V6. The only things I am "giving up" from all my previous cars are memory seat, auto lights,(there's an off feature)and fog lights. I purchased the rear-view mirror w/ the sensor as an accessory. The car is quieter than my Lexus SC430 and rides smoother. I was getting 17 mpg and now have improved my mileage drastically. The interior is well designed for convenience and comfort. I plan to hang on to this car and if I do, what a testimony it will be for Honda.
2004 EX-L V6
This has been the best automobile I have ever owned. It has an abundance of power and still gets great gas mileage. The engine is bullet proof, and I will replace this one with another.
Been an OK car
I purchased this for a commuter car. I wanted reliable transportation and a fuel efficient vehicle. It has never left me on the side of the road, but has had some issues. I did all the Honda recommended maintenance and during my 60000 check up, it was determined that the transmission needed replacing. Not good, if anything this part should never fail. I had other mechanical issues after the new xmission, I'll call it mechanic induced faults. I wasn't happy with the service dept. responsiveness. The front rotors have been turned down 3 times due to warpage. My gas mileage average is 27mpg, not much better(+2) then my V6 Bonneville I traded in. Battery died after 4 yrs, I'm OK with this.
BEST OF THE BEST
I TEST DROVE MANY CARS INCLUDING THE CAMRY AND ALTIME BEFORE SETTLING ON THE ACCORD. THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS AND THE FIT AND FINISH REALLY SOLD ME ON THE CAR. PLUS, I THOUGHT I WAS DRIVING A 6 CYLINDER UNTIL THE SALESPERSON ADVISED ME IT WAS A 4. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CAR I'VE EVER OWNED. HUGHES HONDA IN WARNER ROBINS GA WAS ALSO THE BEST DEALER.
Honda is the Best
Honda is the number one import in my opinion, especially now that I have purchased the latest model Accord. I have now learned why they have been labeled the number one import vehicle.
Wild Ride
Easy to modify for street racing. Given tools, money, and a little time you can transform this car into the car of your dreams.
