Great Stylish Family Car
We puchased this car a as a second family car for running errands in the city, and around town. It is a comfortable, smooth running, reliable, with more than enough pep to make it fun to drive. I think it is a great overall package.
Just plain brilliant
When deciding what car to buy, there are lots factors to consider. Consider this: Spacious interior, sexy exterior, solid build quality, great performace, great gas mileage. Every which way you look, the Honda is a winner. This car is a pleasure to look at , and a thrill to drive. Boy racers and Sunday drivers alike will love this car, because this car performs when you want it to!

I love hondas
well i got my first honda and i just love it its fast and looks nice and drives nice and its just cool to drive in.
Accord EX
I own a 2004 Toyota Camry LE and just added the 2004 Honda Accord EX to the stable and this horse can run. It's a wonderful car to drive. The steering feel is agile and very responsive. The suspension is not to hard or too soft. They've put a lot more feel into the car then the previous 2 generations. I've owned a 96 Accord, 98 Accord, and a 91 Prelude. This current 2004 Accord feels very much more like the Prelude then it did the other 2 Accords. It's a great car and you can't go wrong with buying one.
TSX Compromise
Had been looking at the new Acura TSX. I know it has 40 more horsepower than the 4 cylinder Accord, but that couldn't justify the $4000 savings I got by buying the Accord. The Accord will probably maintain its resale value just as well. The Honda dealer was willing to deal, and the Acura dealer was not. Very happy with the $500 over invoice deal.
4th Accord, keeps on getting better
My first Accord was a 1977 Sedan right hand drive (Dad was stationed in Japan). Then I drove my parents 1994 Accord in law school. Recently I reluctantly replaced my beloved '01 for a '04 because of the $199 lease. The '04 is a big improvement even over the '01. The engine is powerful, smooth and quiet. The cabin is well designed. The materials used are first rate. No rattles in the '04, the '01 rattled incessantly. The tires are bigger and stick to the road better, not bad for OEMs. Although I wanted something sexier, I always go back to the Accord. Why? because it's fun to drive, has lots of room and it never gives me problems. Good price too.
One of the Best Vehicle
I have been an owner of a Honda vehicle the last 15 years. We have a 2002 Acord Ex, but this 2004 V6 with a Nav, system and Sat Light radio is the best of all the Honda. I just can't praise it anymore it a great vehicle.
Hot car
So far it is a dream come true. I wanted stick shift but none were available within a 700 mile radius (in white), so I have an automatic and am satisfied. Lots of neat, innovative features.
Fine Honda but needs improvement!
I have owned this V6 w/navi for over 4 yrs. and it is extremely reliable, great gas mileage w/V6 and powerful. I do have suggestions for improvement for the very near future. When this model was introduced, it lacked fog lights which I installed with a Honda OEM kit. I can't live without these lights! Another very important improvement for this car and the newest models ('09), would be an 8-way power seat for the front passenger. The front seats are angled or sloped downward at the back too much and make it very uncomfortable for people with back problems. An 8-way adjustment would solve this! I ended up lifting the back of the seat upwards with longer bolts and shims. Otherwise a fine car.
V-6 Accord Ride Comfort
Although I do not like the exterior design, the interiors are well appointed -- and to me, luxurious. Handling is satisfactory; but the comfort of ride is by far the worst of all cars that I have owned -- one feels every bump and road defect at both high and low speeds. I keep thinking that something is terribly wrong with this car, rated so highly by critics. This is our first Honda; and it has been a disappointment because of its ride. Obviously, Honda has not solved the problem of a bigger engine (V-6) with front wheel drive and its current suspension system.
Can't be beat!
For the money, this is the best car I have ever owned. You'll find yourself looking for reasons to drive!
STRAIGHT TO REPAIR SHOP
I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON AUGUST 1ST AND 2 DAYS LATTER CAR STARTED TO HAVE NOICE IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR. WHEN I TURN THE WHELL INSTEAD OF GOING SMOOTHLY IT GOES BY BUMPS AND NOICE IN THE FRONT BECOMES EVEN LOUDER. THE CAR IS UNDRIVABLE. I WENT TO THE DELERSHIP BUT THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT 3 WEEKS BECAUSE THEY ARE BOOKED. I WENT TO SEVERAL HONDA DEALERSHIPS AND ALL OF THEM WERE PACKED WITH NEW ACCORDS. I TRULY REGRET THAT I BOUGHT THAT CAR. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
Total Value
Bought another Honda. This makes the sixth Honda product my family (3 people) has purchased over 15 years. The EX V6 with Navi has all the goodies. The biggest improvement is the silky smooth transmission, now a 5 speed, power and rigidity. Its simply a ball to drive! Why pay $35-$40,000 when you can get the whole package for under $27,000.
BEFORE SIGNING & AFTER
I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. UP UNTIL I SIGNED ON THE DOTTED LINE.JURY IS STILL OUT BUT WHEN THEY PREPPED THE CAR IT JUST DIDN'T LOOK NEW.NO WAX, A FEW SCRATCHES, INSIDE DOOR PANEL HAD A HOLE IN IT.CALLED A FEW TIMES.I JUST DON'T GET THAT WARM FUZZY FEELING THAT I DETECTED WHEN PURCHASING.I MENTIONED ALL THE ISSUES AND THEY GAVE ME A DUE BILL.NOW I AM WONDERING WHETHER I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN POSSESION BEFORE ALL THE ISSUES WERE ADDRESSED.I LOVE THE CAR DRIVES GREAT AND HAS A GREAT FEEL.I THINK I RECEIVED A FAIR DEAL AT 23M W/ 3.9 60MONTHS. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEED BACK REGARDING HOW TO HANDLE DUE BILL ISSUES.
Very Happy with my 2003 Honda
Glad I bought one. Nice ride and very sleek looking. Great performance also.Just a smart buy for anyone looking for a well built car.
Honda EX V6 2004
If I were an american manufacturer, I would be very concerned with the quality of the foreign competition at this price level. The quality of this vehicle is just as nice as many other vehicles costing 3- 10 thousand more. A real winner.
can't go wrong
I have had this car a little over a year and love it. No problems, no glitches, no repairs. Drives well, great mileage. The 4 cyl is all you need unless you are a hot-rodder. I did put a seat cushion in the driver's seat - could use more thigh support. Everything works and works well!!
BEST "Cost Per Mile"
Just took delivery of my new '04 Accord EX V6 w/ NAV. I've done so much research here (thanks to everyone for your opinions and advise) and on other sites as well as auto mags, and I love the car. I sold my '01 Lexus IS300 and wound up with this great machine. Love the navigation system, voice activation, dual climate, heated seats and XM radio. Such a solid car. Comfortable, advanced, smart and CLEAN! Driving this car makes me proud. Can never get lost, get hungry, or go broke with it. Quiet interior, very roomy, large trunk, big muscles.
Honda Accord
I have a 12 year old Honda Accord in addition to the '04. The '04 has more room and more fun to drive. I traded a Camry in on the '04 and have been impressed with the new Honda.
New redesign is awesome!
I leased a 2000 Accord and traded in for the new Accord. It is completely redesigned and has more power and features than its predecessor. New features such as a 160hp V-4, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD are just some of the reasons as well as Honda's reliability. Great car, guys!
Wish I have Stayed with LEXUS Brand!!!
03 Honda Accord V6 4dr with Nav, Instrumental light on dash board, fuel economy, seat fit well on the hip the value of car, we fell in love and purchase it. Navigation is a must who don't like to ask anyone for direction and/or look at map and argue. Dislike: the carpet are coming off from molding, black clips behind passenger and driver seats comes off, don't know what it's for, brakes coming downhill makes loud noise, air bag sensor light is on. On Navigation some of the building were 5years and older is not on the system. 2hours+ driving its not comfortable.
Why didn't I get one of these years ago!
I am hooked on Honda. I have always had an "American" car. I must say I have been missing out. For $4000 less than a new GM sedan I got better mileage and a better value. The little things that make the usefullness of this car is outstanding. From the double pass through back seat, the all in one key fob, the valet security features, and of course the safety.
great car,not so good on gas millage
great car, roomy, nice options, poor fuel millage
I LOVE MY ACCORD
EXCELLENT CAR - I LOVE DRIVING IT AND AM GLAD THAT I PURCHASED IT. IT HAS A LOT OF GREAT FEATURES FOR THE MONEY AND IS BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE AND BEST HANDLING CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED!!
Traded in my Mercedes
For the last 15 years I have driven Mercedes Benz automobiles. Honestly it was part of my image, I took tremendous pride in the appearance of my vehicle a 500SL convertible which I had paid over 85k. At 46k miles I experienced several mechanical breakdowns so I took it to the dealer without any help: Fustrated I rented a enterprise rental vehicle (a honda Accord) to drive 500miles I was so happy I sold my mercedes and purchased this flawless Accord with Navigation system. I must admit I don't get the thumbs up from passers bye but the overall confidence of this vehicle and predictability factor is worth it!!..
An All Around Great Car
Honda automobiles are constantly in the top ten and the 2004 Accord 6 cyl Accord EX is one of the reasons why. I saved thousands of dollars after I found a car buying advice article called Beat The Dealer. This automobile is fast, quiet, wonderfully built, great gas mileage (over 30 MPG highway and it's not even broken in yet). It handles very well and is great fun to drive. The leather seats are of better quality than in my Acura. This is the way cars are supposed to be built and perform. At under $24,000 (negotiated price), this car rivals luxury cars costing much, much more.
Satisfied Once Again
I am so thrilled with my latest Honda purchase. (have owned 5 over the past 18 years) I considered a Lexus ES330 and an Infiniti G35 but after test driving couldn't justify the price difference. My car has all the bells and whistles and is exceptional for daily commutes and running about town. Honda just keeps getting better and better at understanding what consumers want. If you want reliable, responsive, user friendly transportation look no further that the Accord!! Buy one NOW, you won't regret it.
My first car
I chose the Honda Accord as my first car after having the experience of many other makes and model cars. It gives the feeling of a luxury car without the luxury price. And I got a great deal on the leather interior and moon roof features. The ride is smooth and the controls are at your finger tip. There is room enough fro our infant son plus a couple of friends. With an infant it was also important that we got a car with a great safety rating. All in all we got a great bang for our buck.
Safety
I had the car for two weeks, and loved every second of it...Vrrrm Vrrrm and so comfortable. Then some !%#$!@ rear ended me HARD! The passenger compartment was complete unaffected, even though my rear bumper is in the middle of the trunk. I doubt the body shop will make as good as new, however I will by another.
Excellent car to buy
We went from a 91 Maxima - about same horsepower and weight. Maxima will blow the Honda away but is V6 vs. 4 cyl. Honda rides a little rougher but it handles better especially in corders. Love the leather but seat belts seem to chew up the trim when you retract or extend them. Awkward to reach between headrest and door post. Front doors do not seem to stay open at a reasonable position. Either too narrow or too wide. Comfotable and roomy. At first power seemed a little weak but it came alive at about 3,000 miles-not that we drive like they do on TV. I would buy another one.
What a great value...
After looking at other cars and test driving- I looked at the VW Passat and Mazda6 but wasn't impressed! I traded in my Civic- night and day to this wonderful smooth Accord. I would anyone to get one who wanted a reliable, nicely designed car around $20k. I added a spoiler to make it sporty b/c I'm young. I got a great deal and everyone should know that you can get them for invoice price. I've only had it a week but it has great peep and nice gas mileage plus extra features I feel make it like a luxury car!!! Forget the Passat,Camry, Mazda6- GET the ACCORD!!!
mileage and performance
I been pleasantly surprised about how much I like this car. I am getting 31 to 33 mpg with mostly highway and some city driving. Very good passing power. Really does not feel like a four. Recently rented a Mazda 6 on a trip and am very glad I got the Honda. The 10,000 mile oil change was a nice surprise also. Very comfortable and roomy inside.
nice reliable bland vanilla ride
reliable, quick, great economy, great resale, everything good except it is boring
Some Problems with Honda Accord 2004
I bought this car (2004 Accord EX with manual transmission) because of its outstanding safety features. But it has been unreliable. It had two electrical failures under 1000 miles and had to be towed twice. But this problem was finally corrected by the service dept. What is much more troubling is that both the front and back bumper covers were damaged by regular winter conditions. I've been driving in, over, and through snow/ice for 30 years in Toyota cars, and never had any front or rear end damage. The bill for the repair is over $1300. Even though I enjoy driving the car, I'll probably trade it in as soon as I can afford to.

Honda's Best
I researched several other cars, including the Camry, Impala, Malibu, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima, to name a few and no other vehicle even came close to gaining my allegience. Myself, my wife and 3 kids test drove a 2004 Camry over to the Honda dealership, but after getting out and looking just at the sexy body style, simultaneously said "you might as well take the Camry back to the dealership", because it was a no brainer decision. The Accord is far more appealing inside and out. I paid $14,500 for my '89 Accord Coupe LXi 15 years ago and just paid $23,200 for a loaded 2004 Accord EX-L with XM Radio. The Honda Accord is still the best value on the market!
Just Purchased 2005
Just purchased an 05 Accord. The main change in styles was the rear tail lights. Compared this car with the Acura TL, albeit they are different cars. The quality of the accord is excellent by my standards. Creature comforts are really nice. I researched a number of cars and found the Accord to be pound for pound superior for the price. The final selling feature for me was this 6 cyl, 240 HP engine which uses regular gas! The quality of Honda is tough to beat. I've got a Civic with 280k miles on it and I only put several hundred bucks (above maintenance) to keep her going. In sum, if you buy this model I think you will be pleased.
Not all they're cracked up to be!
I'm surprised by the inconsistency between magazine reviews of this vehicle and actual real world driving. For the most part, it is a well built vehicle, though far from the perfect they're said to be. Interior is plagued by multiple annoying rattles, especially in the doors, back shelf and the console bin cover. Stereo would be fine if only I could play it louder, but the vibrations it causes keep me from doing so. Dealer has yet to correct. Engine is outstanding, though. And while most cars grow on you after a while styling- wise, this one looks less attractive the longer I have it.
Dynastic Succession
This is my 8th Honda in two decades, deciding in its favor once again after comparing against the Mazda6 (close) and the Toyota Camry (grandma's car). Once again, the combination of economical performance, relatively refined engineering, value retention, and dependability made the choice easy. Although the exterior finish quality is less than expected (multiple paint bubbles on hood, make-ready finish scratches), this current version of a quite successful automotive dynasty appears to be the finest in a long line of Accord / Civic purchases, many of which were "still going" very well after 250K miles.
No Better Car for the Money
Smooth ride, powerful 4-cyl, 36mpg on first tank of fuel, there is no better car for the money. The leather car we bought with XM radio seems like it fits more in a entry level luxury class than a family sedan. For 23K OTD you will not find a better buy. No complaints whatsoever.
My favorite car
This car has a lot of get up and go! The navigation system is excellent. The ride is smooth and quiet. It is the best driving car I have owned.
Another Honda
After driving around 7 different cars we ended up with another Honda. This time we bought an Accord EX. My husband and I were both surprised on the "extras" that came standard on this car. He was looking for leather and I wanted the sunroof. We were also surprised with the amount of legroom you have in the back seat. We were looking for something sporty, but had to go with the 4 door due to having a son. I think the 4 door still looks sporty. My last car was an Accord also and we never had any trouble. We are hoping that Honda continues to have the reliablity we have come to expect.
Can't Beat an Accord
Have driven this car almost 10,000 miles. Has been reliable so far. No rattles, easy to drive, not boaty like my previous Solara. Looks much better when you add a spoiler.
1st timer
I've had the Honda accord for 3 weeks now and I'm very impressed with the comfort, handling, quietness, and acceleration of the v-6. The interior is roomy and the wood accents are nice with the beige leather interior. Overall, still a great car for the price with excellent residual value and fun to drive.
Scout's Rating
I traded in my 1990 VW Jetta, looking for a sporty four door sedan that would be comfortable for 4 adults whether travelling to evening shows or bicycling events. I find the car extremely fun to drive. It has great exceleration and corners well. The seats are wonderfully comfortable and don't put pressure on the tail-bone.
Review
For the price I've paid for this vehicle it is very comfortable, very reliable, the gas mileage is excellent and it has a ton of standard features. I use it as a commuter car, I've already put 38,000 miles on it in 18 months and it is still working like a swiss clock. I've only had one minor problem with the air conditioning not operating at the driver side which was due to a leak. That was fixed under warranty.
Fast Fun, and never lost
I have had the car for a little over 7 months. The car handles real well and accelerates like a demon. I had a 1999 Chrysler 300m before this car, and for the most part am glad I changed. Even though the Accord is 13hp less then the 300m it acccelerates faser and is much more refined. The Navigation system is a must have, but hasn't always steered me the best way. It doesn't always have the up-to-date info, and I have the newest disk.
The car's great.
I never though I would purchase an other forgein made car. But my daughter asked me to come with her to look at the Honda's. I left with a new Honda Accord EX. It was the first time(in a long time) I really was exsited about a car.
Eh, it's ok.
Driverside room: Head is too close to the roof; the steering wheel has to be pointed toward face to allow leg room. The 4-Cylinder: On the highway - engine makes a lot of noice to get up to speed. The Voice Activation Navi-System disappointing. Has to be fairly quiet to hear voice commands. Highway noice disrupts it. The air conditioning turned on several times b/c of this (it's winter) If it's raining... Not totally voice activated; requires manual input. Don't like the Navi's newer display. It's harder to see. The silver molding around the windows - Yuk Gas milage: not as good as I thought it would be. Advertised 30-38 city/hwy.
Switched from a Used RL to a new Accord
Have had the car two weeks. I don't understand how Honda can make such an exceptional car for $23K. I also own an Odyssey so I am biased : )
