Happy with purchase
Originally, I was going to buy a Nissan Maxima GLE. However there was a problem in securing the car I wanted so I completely lost interest in the Maxima and the Nissan Dealer for that matter. In retrospect, I am glad I wasn't able to get the Maxima, because the 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 is everything I need - the power, the creature comfort, and luxury. Although the ride may not be as refined as the Maxima, everything else is if not better. I am most impressed with the construction of this car. It is pure quality.
Good Job, Honda
From the shapely rear end to its sporty stance and performance, the car is a sports coupe with a nice helping of refinement. The interior is comfortable and intuitive to the driver's needs.

Luxury/dependability for under 30 K!
I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this car! We have found it to be a perfect formula of handling, horsepower, torque, fit and finish, comfort, quality, and price. Trust me when I say I looked at EVERYTHING on the market. This Accord won hands down. I'm VERY impressed with this car, and I'm not easily impressed.
excellent
well the best part i love about my honda is the comfort and peace of mind this car is stylish and sporty and has a good kick when you put the pedal to the metal. This car has been my best perchase so far and i hope to keep buying honda for many more years.
The sporty/luxury LX V6 Coupe
The Accord 2-Dr LX V6 has 240-hp of responsive power, allowing it to leap from the stop position and outrace many of the cars on the road. The interior comfortably fits three of my friends, has a great console and factory installed stereo system, and the telescoping steering wheel is a bonus. Interior is A+ I gave the vehicle a 8/10 in exterior design. While it has smooth curves and tight panel spacing, I think something could be done with the rear end of the vehicle to make it look more aggressive. Also, when is Honda going to make more accessories available for Accords?
This is a true beauty!!
I really like this car. I think Honda did a pretty good job. I belive it's the best car for the money. Not only that it's a Honda so you know you are buying a great car!
Accord V-6 EX Coupe 6M
I found a V-6 6M Coupe by chance after having given up the search. Had second thoughts about trading in my 2000 Civic Si, but that didn't last long. After commuting with the Accord for a month, 70 mi. a day, I don't know how I lived without it. For me it is a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, style and performance. So far, I can find nothing negative to say about this car.
One Hell of a car
I have owned a 1990 Honda Accord Ex and 1996 Civic Ex and find the newly designed Honda V6 to be the best yet. With a 240 horsepower engine it can compete with the Infinity G35 and BMW 530I. This car is worth every penny and more.
2003 Honda Accord EX V6 with leather
The accord is everything rolled into one. It is fast, fun, and powerful yet dependable and you tend to forget that it is a family sedan. Sure if I had more money I would buy a Lexus, Mercedes, or Jaguar; but for the price the accord is a bargain over the camry, maxima, and passat.
Accord, Is that You ?!
Received delivery 1 week ago. Yet to have a good assessment.
Very impressed with this Accord
I picked the 2003 Accord EX-V6 over the 2003 V-6 Altima and the 2004 Maxima. It was clearly the best value amongst the three, and I was able to get a great month-end deal from a dealer. This car is bigger and smoother than my 2000 Acura TL.
Great job done for 2003 Honda Accord 2.4
Excellent Engine that gives a great speed and performance with amazing fuel efficiency and the best interior design. Excellent build quality.
Honda Accord EX V6
Every dealership I checked with in SC was charging sticker price. Take it or leave it. Superior Honda sold it for $2000 less than sticker. The rear spoiler adds a little style to an already atractive car. I also added the mud gaurds and a trunk mat but did not get the NAV system figuring it would be outdated long before to car was. The duel climate control is wonderful!
As Nice As Can Be
I looked at Acura TL, Lexus ES300, & M-B C320 (not BMW cuz my '99 328i just came off lease & wanted a change)- the Accord was a better car with more features, more power and nicer interior for less money. It's very comfortable - I'm 6'1" & 260 lbs - it's roomy and quite powerful. Handles decent and the interior is top rate, even if wood is fake. Love the nav system. It really helped on a recent trip to So. Cal. Also the guages are electro-luminescent, nothing else in the class offers that.
Great Ride!
Mine gets 30-31 mpg. Never had a problem, have 87,000 miles on the odometer. Mine is a 4 banger and it has all the power I need and I drive on I-45 (one of the busiest freeways in Houston) and I can get on the freeways without a problem. Great car!
Great Value
This is my 3rd Honda and I must say the best. I only have 1000 miles on it but so far everything is perfect. Great value for the dollar and a terrific dealership. I have driven a Camry, Altima and a couple of domestic sedans but this Honda outclasses all of them
Not bad...not bad at all...
If you are in the market for a new car then do yourself justice and see the new Accord. The EXL 4cyl is a wonderful car. The V6 was a blast to test drive but the 4 really is a dream. I am getting 26-27 MPG in the city on average after 2 months of ownership. Lot's of get up and go as well. Very pleased. All in all...not bad...not bad at all.
It's a super safe car~
My parent bought me this first car as my 19th birthday. Unfortunely I had a big collison on the freeway with one passenger with me. The car was total, all airbags pop out, the amazing new is both of us are safe, only had some minor seatbelt burns. I love the car when i first bought it, after the crash, i love it more because it can truely protect me and my friends from any accidents. I am planing to buy back one next week. The 4cylinder is fast enough for me, so i am not thinking of upgrading it, therefore, i put the money into the interior, i am planing to get the exact same one with the navigation!! (((i miss my car)))
Excellent Car, Great Value
Bought new and has been a great value and still fun to drive. Efficient yet powerful enough to daily commute. I've tracked every tank of gas for this car... averages 33 MPG with a 5 speed manual transmission. Replaced front brakes and original tires at about 72,000 miles. Still original rear brakes. Only two problems - catalytic converter and O2 sensor. No other problems. Overall, a great driving experience.
I Love My Honda!
Let me start by saying that I am unabashedly a Honda fan. This is my second Accord and I'm almost positive it won't be my last. The new Accord has a smoother ride and much better acceleration. Really I think to purchase the V6 would be a waste of money. Front and back seats seem roomier. The controls in this model seem much more intuitive and easier to use while driving. I love being able to control the radio from the stirring wheel. The wood grain accents, which come with the ex model, give the interior a more polished look. I honestly can't imagine owning a better car for the money.
Great Car - Excellent buy.
Eventhough I only had this car for a couple of weeks, this car is really great. It looks excellent, and the V-6 is very powerful. The handling and drive is very smooth and solid. Sound system is OK, but the convinience of the interior with the additional space, cup holders and easy to use controls is excellent. The interior is very comfortable, and the back seats are adequate to sit average sized adults. To get the best buy, get the LX-V6. Dealers might not be very flexible with EX-V6.
TWO TIME WINNER-ONE TIME LOSER
THIS CAR IS THE CLASSIEST OF ALL TH E HONDAS I'VE OWNED. BECAUSE OF SOME PREVIOUS PROBLEMS I HAD WITH MY 2000 ACCORD V6, I WAS RELUCTANT TO BUY ANOTHER HONDA, BUT I AM GLAD I DID. IT HAS THE FEEL OF A LUXURY CAR, BUT MODERATELY PRICED. I ADDED SOME EXTRA FEATURES THAT MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A VERY EXPENSIVE CAR.
A Joy to Own
I looked at Camry, Altima, Avalon, Passat and new Honda. Sat in 2003 Honda and loved the new design. After I test drove, I knew it was the car. FUN to Drive. Quick and felt silky smooth. The interior feels like a luxury car. Can't say enough how nice it is. I agree Honda could have added heated windows and a cassette player ($200+ option). Some of us still have old tapes.
So Happy!!
I got on the freeway and slowly pressed the gas to the floor and WOW!! I sank back into the cumfortable leather seat and held on. The V6 is great. The
2003 Honda LX V6 - excellent car!
This car was the first Honda for me. The negative first - styling is not exactly earth shattering. Very ordinary, very yesterday. The positives - power is amazing, the ride is very good. Turning radius is also good and both road and engine noise is down almost to Camry levels. Interior space appears to be cramped. Controls are as good as the Camry, options and features are slightly better though. For example, LX V6 comes with Traction control, side air bags and 5 speed automatic. ABS and anti- theft are standard in all Accords. Overall very happy with the Accord purchase, would rate it as high as the very impressive Camry!
Good, reliabile car
its an awesome car. fun riding and excellent power. its amazing how fast and comfortable this car is. its an good mixture of horsepower, style, and agilty. over all its a well rounded vehicle.
build quality problems
Concerned about several workmanship issues with the new 2003 accords.. i have a sunroof that leeks badly.. lumbar support that roke first thing.. mud guards that came of... its also hard to start in the winter and severl little workmanship issues .. while they are relatively minor.. it is not acceptable for $40,000 Cdn price tag.
itsawright
Got this car to replace wife's 92 Taurus LX w/160k miles on it. She, being smaller, loves the interior. I find the console too close to my right leg when driving. mpressions are good with quite, smooth acceleration catches you offguard when you're doing 85 when you thought you were at 55. Tires thump a little on rough roads but the ride is very enjoyable. Handling is great but the tires start to squeal when the turns get tight. I rate the interior material, fit and finish to be excellent. The instrumentation layout is excellent but I think just three simple knobs could better replace the long lineup of buttons for the vent controls. Overall - a keeper!
Great value
Taut but comfortable ride, little wind noise, less tire noise than old honda. The car make a "clunk" or scraping noise shortly after startup. Very quiet engine, and despite less low end torque than the Altima 3.5, the engine is extremely efficient and flexible at low RPMs. I've averaged 26mpg per tank (Altima 3.5 sticker reads 23 or 24 MPG on 91 octane), and could probably get a little over 400mi on one tank. I've experimented with 91 and 89 octane, and 91 gives the car a little more punch at high speeds. I felt like I discovered a hidden secret of the universe when I found this car.
Love my Accord(AGAIN)
This is my third accord and the best one yet. my kids are driving the other two and are already talking about whos getting this one. I wish they had some type of rebates, but not having them keeps the resale value top in its class.
2003 Accord, Very Impressive
Took delevery this week on 2003 EX-L Sedan. Dark Blue/Grey Leather. Very quiet, good acceleration, Great Stereo (six disc indash), Large sunroof, Fit and finish excellent. Look and drive one, and you will see why its a top seller in past years, and will be again.
I LIKE IT!!!
Roomy (even for someone 6'4"), comfortable, excellent acceleration. TCS is proving to be very useful with the V6 power. Handles well. Very enjoyable to drive.
Great Car
Just bought this car, at first don't really like the back design, but it seems to grow on me the more I looked at it. I helps with a rear spoiler also. All in all, great car for the value, was going for the IS300 at first, but b/c of price decided to stick with an accord. This car kicks all others car butt in it's class. Compare to a camry, more sporty, better suspension, feels much faster.
QUALITY
WHY CANT AMERICAN MANUFACTURERS MAKE CARS LIKE THIS
Perfect!
Rock solid build quality, some of the best seats this side of Lexus/BMW, nifty dual zone climate control, steering wheel controls, and overall high end feel to this car make this a no-brainer in the mid 20's price range. You won't get more for this price.
2003 Honda - Great Car
This is the 5th Honda our family has owned and without a doubt the best. My last one had 265,000 miles(6 mos. ago) and is still going strong. Honda's reliability is outstanding. Nice trim and styling, very good gas mileage and peppy V-6. Visibility could be improved somewhat. Also variuos controls could be improved by location & identification. Offer more colors.
Best car I've owned
No problems in 75000 miles. Incredibly dependable and fuel efficient. I replaced the brakes at 70000 miles but had no other issues. We drove from Atlanta to Jacksonville, Florida several times and averaged 30 MPG at 70 MPH. I'm only selling it because we bought an RV and a Chevy Van to pull it and no longer need the Honda. We'll be sorry to see it go.
we love it
We love this car. We actually went in to purchase the pilot and decided to test drive the v-6 accord. We got three blocks from the dealer and both said "we want this car". Loaded with features comparible to luxury sedans. We had driven an audi A4 earlier this week as well and enjoyed the honda just as much. We also negotiated a great price (not far above invoice).
Love this car
Just got my car a couple of days ago and I love it. The all around appearance of the car is impressive. Nice amount of power for a four cylinder. Love the stereo controls and the sunroof.
Wow, what a car!
I love this car. I am glad I spent the extra money on the V6. This car is fun to drive. Am glad w/ my decisions.
Best Accord so far
I am a student and the main reason I got this car is because I dont have the time to run to the garage (with a domestic) everytime there is a problem. I know Honda has a long standing history of reliability and so this was the best choice. I love the V6 and the 5 speed A/T, makes driving around a truly gratifying experience. If you want a mid-size sedan look no further.
Baby
I bought my car after test driving just about every V6 sport sedan in the market. I wanted/had to have a stick shift. I was just about to buy a 2003 Maxima when I saw the ad for the V6 6- speed Accord Coupe. I fell in love. I had also considered the Acura CL s- type with the 6, but found that the interior felt dated comparatively. And- not too many people had my car when I bought it and that was very enticing. The clutch is very tricky at first, it took me a while to get to know it. But now, I am quite hellish behind the wheel. I also love that the few I have let try to drive it- usually stall. She's tricky....
Right coupe for the right price
very comfortable car with excellent ergonomics and rich interior. hard to find a better all-around value for the money.
Improving On Perfection
Nothing like the previous Honda Accord. My 4 previous cars were new Acuras(Honda). Auotmotive perfection. A Japanese Rolls Royce!!. Acura really has nothing over this car except the NSX which is also a Honda!
2003 ex accord
good car lots of fun to drive plenty of power for a 240 hp 6cyl very smooth 5 speed auto tranny had a 1999 4cyl 5 speed standard tranny big difference with the 6 cylcontrols on steering wheel
Accord = value
I bought the 6cyl. LX rather than the 4 because of availability of a power seat, which I need for a serious medical problem. Anyway, I love the 6 as it gives amazing zip on regular fuel and 30 mpg on the highway. The ride and handling are smooth, but one can "feel" the road. The interior is laid out beautifully and erogonomically perfect. I like the stereo/cruise controls on the steering wheel. I got it below wholesale < well below invoice> and they threw in tint, splash guards and a 5yr/60K mile power train extended warranty. The only warranty work needed now is a rattle on the passenger side.
Great Car
Excllent Car!!!! I love it. Forgot about the Passat, Camry, ......etc
Exceeds Expectations
Test drove the Nissan Altima 4 cyl. -- stylish on the outside, mediocre engine performance, and the interior of a GM product. Came real close to buying the Camry XLE -- a magnificent ride, elegant interior, and flawless tranny, but no road feel, no panache. The Accord EX-L with the new rear deck spoiler is a real head-turner. The leatherized cabin is elegant, sporty and rich -- belying it's moderate price tag; 160 hp 4 banger is more than adequate muscle. Revamped suspension and handling blows the '98-'02 Accord away. The '03 Accord can be the sporty, classy family car you always wanted, but felt you had to settle for a trendy SUV like everyone else.
Great car
After driving an SUV, we weren't sure if we wanted a car. We know now. It's great! No, the exterior styling isn't as impressive as the G35 or the Altima, but the interior is top notch, and after all, you ride inside the car, not outside. We went with the silver with black leather. The brushed aluminum trim inside is so much nicer than fake wood. I'm 6'2", and there's plenty of room for me to sit in the back seat. Much more headroom than the Altima and G35. The V-6 has plenty of pick up, and the ride is great. We paid 25,200 through the fleet department. The G35 equally equipped is over 40,000 and the Altima is over 32,000.
awsome car
i own a v6 accord and the car is awsome
