A must buy
If you are debating on what 4 door sedan is best, I recommend the 03 Honda Accord. This is my 2nd Accord and I wouldn't think of getting any other vehicle in this class. You not only get the best bang for the buck but one very dependable car.
Honda Accord 2003
Much nicer than I expected, much quicker out of the gate. I bit disappointing on fuel efficiency, and the car died within two months! (Bad fuses). But Honda fixed it right away, and they were so embarrassed I thought one or two of the mechanics might commit hari kari. Fortunately, no one did.

Accord a great car
I love everything about this car thas I can say
Best value for the price
I have my car for two months and love it. Wanted to get something that was sporty, reliable, powerful and comfortable. This car has all of those characteristics and more. I researched and drove the VW Passat, Mazda 6, Lexus ES 300, Nissan Altima, Infinity G35 and BMW 325i. Out of all those cars, the Accord offered the most features for the least amount of money. The car has great pickup in both the low and high RPM ranges. There is a slight delay between when I press on the gas and when I see results, similar to a 4 cyl turbo. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the car and would consider getting another one in the future.
100% Improvement over previous years
Honda has really outdone themselves. There is more standard features like, keyless entry, abs brakes. The new transmission is so smooth, the older models very rough. All my friends love it, and it was very affordable.
My second Honda
Great car for the money. Good gas mileage, just got 31 mpg on the way up to the Finger Lakes. Love the the power of the V6 engine. Last but not least, fun car to drive with the 6 speed manual.
Thankful we passed on BMW
Wow - This isn't an Accord. My wife and I were set on either a newer 328i BMW or an older 528i BMW. I am so glad we took the 7th generation V6 Accord for a spin. Interior and exterior is a 10+ and it flies!
Sense of Reliability
I have known about the spirited nature of both Honda Inc., and their products. I was unprepared for the excellence that I got when delivery was made. The NAV system is incredible. I do miss traction control, and delay lighting. Other than that, the car sets high standards for all others to follow.
Great car for the money
Bought in Feb. Great car so far. Lots of compliments. Strong V-6 gets awesome gas milage. Navi works great, missing a few little features, but other than that it is one of the best cars there is for the money.
TW
V6 performs well, especially with 5- speed automatic transnission...very smooth. Ergonomically well thought out with power supplies, cup holders, and cup holders. Great handling and quiet. Seat warmers are a hit with my wife, and dual climate control was a selling point.
I could not be any happier
I can now understand why there are so many loyalists to the Honda Accord. Not only was the experience of purchasing the car a pleasure but driving it is just unbelievable. The 4- cylinder has more than sufficient Power for both city and highway driving.
EX Accord w/ Leather and Navi
I bought this car two weeks ago and it is the most comfortable car that I have ever been in. All of the controls are easily accessible on the steering wheel and the Navigation system is unsurpassed! I wasnt sure if I wanted the V-6 or the 4 cyl. but after driving both I was convinced that the 4 cyl. was the best I'd ever driven. The pick up is surprisingly good and the V-6 gas mileage wasnt worth the trade off. I have only put 1200 miles on it so far and I already get 400+ miles on one tank of gas. Love this car...got it at an amazing price...would recommend it and the dealership I went to to anyone!
big fan
brandy new accord is fun fun fun. loving it. kills a couple buddies of mine that have an 01 and an 02 that are missing many extras the 03 includes with the ex package. again, can't say how pleased i am thus far.
Wow, what a car.
Just recently bought an 2003 Accord Ex 4 cylinder automatic, (traded-in my 2000 LeSabre)and really .... wow!! What a pleasure to drive, solid, quiet and as roomy inside as my full size LaSabre. Admittedly, I haven't had the car long, but it has really impressed me with it's quality.
one minor complaint
I'm very satisfied with the car. It handles beautifully, looks great, and I've had no complaints at all.
Better than you might expect
I bought this Accord EX-V6 sedan brand new in December of 2002. Almost 6.5 years in, it has probably been out of service no more than a couple of weeks. I serviced primarily at two dealers (Braman in West Palm Beach, FL & Wade Raulerson in Gainesville, FL) - both are professional and prompt. I have a heavy foot, but my fuel economy is just ok. . . I struggle to get 20mpg with a 50/50 city/highway mix. Wind noise is unacceptably intrusive. However, engine and transmission refinement, overall ride quality, interior design and comfort, and the overall continued quality of this car are unsurpassed in the price range. Not without it faults, but definitely the best pick in this class of vehicle.
This is THE best car I have ever driven
This car is definately comparable to Lexus, BMW, Benz, and Audi. The good news: it's only a fraction of the price. Interior is the best I've seen, this car has awesome power, and the dash-lighting will blow you away. Great job Honda!!!!
What a bargain!
I got the LX-V6 because I wanted more headroom and was willing to give up the sunroof to get it. It also helped that the car was $2500 less than the EX-V6. Car is quite, comfortable, fast and a pleasure to drive. Wife has a 2002 Toyota Camry SE-V6; good car with no fun factor. If you want a great car with a wonderful V-6, you must drive this car before you buy anything else.
Congrat's to Honda For The New Accord
Just bought my Honda Accord EX V6 from Garica Honda in ABQ. Perhaps paid $200 too much based on prices on the net, but it was the only White one in New Mexico. Have had the car one week and am more than satisfied. I'm no car expert however did compare the Accord to the Lexus ES300 and other than a large price difference and a few minor items, the new Honda is simply a joy to drive.
LX Accord
Terrific all around family car.
EX 2003 4D-AUTOMATIC
nice car, kind of rough on road, engine is good, responsive(not v6), huge space interior. the design is not great esp. the rear with tail lights, looks odd.
Best One Yet
The EX has a great mix of wheels 16"(alloy), ABS brakes (4 wheel disk), suspension and engine (160 hp 4cyl) that provide it with sure handling, power and gas economy. It's a terrific combination. A comfortable interior, great stereo, and sunroof are thrown in. I can't recall being happier with a new car. I had driven 5 sp. manuals for years and got the 5 sp. auto this time--very smooth. I haven't missed the manual transmission.
THE BEST ACCORD EVER!!!!!!!!!
GUYS IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SPEND MONEY ON A CAR THE ACCORD IS YOUR BEST INVESTMENT. I WONT TELL YOU MUCH, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME AND GO AND TEST DRIVE ONE AND YOU WILL SEE HOW NICE AND COMFORTABLE IT IS.AHHHH SOMETHING ELSE YOU WONT HAVE A BAD NEGATIVE EQUITY LIKE ANY OTHER COMPETITOR. (THAT'S REALLY GOOD)
Dream car
I've been coveting this car since last fall and was on pins and needles as the dealer tried to find the car in white. Having finally taken delivery of it, it is everything I expected and more. The car is responsive and quiet. The seating is comfortable and can fit my family of four easily. The leather and wood trim are nice touches that "luxury- ize" the vehicle. And, the 6-speed is a blast to shift through. I previously drove a '95 Civic to 170k miles -- I'm looking foward to another 170k in this Accord.
Get a 2002
Don't buy a 2003 Accord. Get a 2002.
Best car on the road
This is a significant improvement from my 1998 4dr V6 Accord EX. It has much more power, the interior design is beautiful and much more comfortable, the tramsmission is far smoother, the stereo has been significantly improved, and the steering wheel controls are far more comprehensive. I test drove all of the rest of the competing cars and this one blew them all away. Best value on the road and at $20,000 less than a similarly equipped BMW there is no comparrison.
1 Hot Hombre
This car is quick..I have kept up with some of the best road cars without a problem. With this setup 3.0 V6 and the 6-speed manual transmission I am getting roughly 32 mpg city/highway combined.
Not too bad
The interior of this car is nice. The ride however is a bit rough (I guess that's why you have Lexus and Mercedes ;-). The audio is so-so. Handling reasonable. I got 29.5 mpg on strictly high-way (cruising at 80 mph). A bit disappointed there. I don't regret my purchase decision, except I should have given Camry more thought next time...
Best of the Best
After considering the Toyota Camry (no rear head room, Passat (great color selection but too small back seat), Nissan Altima and various others, we chose the Accord EX 4 cylinder. My wife and I love the car. I can't believe the amount of options you get for money. I read the post above and honestly can't ever see anyone giving a honest 3! You made a decision to spend $25k on a car that you didn't like? Hope you don't make such quick decisions on other important things! ;') Back to more positive things, for those of you that want true value in what you purchase..buy a Honda! No, I don't sell them, but wish I did. God Bless America
It ain't your grandma's Honda!
A few more "add-on's" and I would never look at another car. Performs like cars costing $10,000 - $20,000 more. Gas milage on the highway around 32 mph and 20 mph around town. Bought another just like it for my son;he got the 4cyl, I got the jet!
Impressive car, good value
Looked at Camry, Altima and Mazda 6 before purchasing the Accord. I was impressed by the Accord's powerfull yet efficient engine, it's interior and reputation for quality and reliability.Had some concerns regarding visaiblity to the side/rear and reported (relatively) poor braking distances.
2003 Honda
The 2003 Honda Accord has the feel of a sports car without paying the sports car price.
Excellent !
I bouught my Honda Accord 10 months ago and I love the reliability and performance with this vehicle...im still in heaven...After buying "FORDS" most of my life I know that this vehicle is a "KEEPER"....
A whole lotta car for the money
This is my first Honda and I love it. Great power and handling. The standard features are incredible. To get all these features in another vehicle would put it way out of line price wise. I traded in my 305 horse power '99 Z28 for this baby and I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the 240HP V6. Not quite as fast, but close! I also added on the factory fog lights and spoiler and it looks great!
Great Car
Fun to drive, safe, and comfortable.
Great Car but not Perfect
I've got about 1200 miles thus far and am pleased with my purchase. Great ride and comfortable leather seats. Great interior design and ergonomics with the exception of the way the seat belts retract. If you don't hold them all the way to retraction, they will leave marks on the pillars. There doesn't seem to be enough room between the pillar and the seat back for the seat belt to retract properly. Also, my gas mileage has been poorer than expected thus far and I hope it improves.
Thanks Honda!!!
I was in the market for a car that would be fun to drive, but also affordable with all the bells and whistles and they provided it! It's only been a few weeks, but I love my new car more than I can say. It's so much fun to drive, has excellent power and handling. Thanks Honda!
Honda Accord
I've been driving Honda/Accura products since early 80's, almost exclusively. They are without a doubt the most reliable and dependable automobiles I have ever been priveledged to drive. As a salesrep, I cover most of four states of which 95% of 40,000 miles I average a year call for me to have a car I know will start every time and get me to my destination with minimal maintainance. Out side of oil/filter change and periodic checkups, Honda fills the bill for me!
best car
great car honda rocks
Practical.
One of the best cars on the planet for the price. The attention to detail and build quality are unbelievable for a massed produced car.The ride borders on luxury and the handling is great for the real world, the car is also pleasingly quiet.I agree with some of the other reviews in that there are cars that go faster or handle better on twisting mountain roads, but practically speaking most of us will not drive for those reasons alone. The Accord is a practical car in which it does everything good and nothing bad.
Best of Year
I have been driving Acura's for the past 10 years. This Accord is now in the same league as the 3.2TL. It sharp looking, the interior is classic leather and very confortable. The additional horsepower (240) really lets this car move.
6-speed Accord Coupe
6 speed coupe is fun to drive;Great handling on twisty roads; Comfortable for long drives; 32 mpg average on 11 hour drive to Montreal; Ours is red with tan leather upholstery; backseat is also quite comfortable; Smooth, quiet, comfortable with impressive stereo.
Pure Bliss
I bought this car on New Years Eve, and it's been a celebration ever since. The 240-HP V6 engine rocks. Great power and acceleration. Was able to fit two people well over 6-feet tall in the backseat with plenty of leg room. Constantly get compliments from friends and family. Everything I imagined. Wish my 10 mile commute to work was longer since it's hard to get out of.
GREAT CAR
I traded in my 2000 EX-V6 Coupe on this model, and can't believe the difference. This car is smoother, quieter, more sleek, and more comfortable than the previous model. The extra horsepower in the V6 makes a huge difference, and the navigation system is easy to use and helpful. It's a great car and definitely a head- turner on the road.
Drive before you buy!
Based on Honda's reputation, I bought the car after just a short drive. After 3500 miles, I can't get comfortable and driving is miserable! I have never had this problem with any other car I've owned. No matter what I do, the accelerator pedal causes sore leg muscles. Also, the console, by your right leg, has a seam that sticks out and causes further leg pain if you lean your leg against it. I am very disappointed with this car and dislike driving it. Due to the shape of car and pillars, it is hard to see outside the car when checking for traffic. I would not recommend this car to anyone.
Fast Car
This car has everything that is needed. Very well thought out car
First Honda
Excellent Driving car, was looking at all makes and models was even awaiting the arrival of the Mazda 6 (was disappointed in that). What made up my mine was the Consumer Reports article and they were right on the ball.
I love this car .....
I was in an accident which totaled my 2002 Accord and therefore had to purchase a new car. I was a little skeptical of the new exterior design of the 2003 Accord Sedan but once I arrived at the dealership, I changed my mind. They are so much sportier looking and the interior design is great! Plus, it has much more power than my 2002 and holds the road better, probably due to the wishbone suspension in the front as well as the rear. This is a great car!
Amazing all-around car
I had test driven just about everything else (Passat, Camry, Altima, etc.) when I finally got to the Accord. I had seen the commercials on TV and the exterior styling just didn't stir me enough to want one badly. But the test drive convinced me! I felt the ride was nearly identical to the VW Passat and all the convenience features inside (storage spaces, power ports, 8 cup holders, etc.) and all the creature comforts of the LX give you the sense that you're getting too much "bang-for- the-buck" to pass on.
