Window Issues
The car is excellent in every respect except with the windows. The driver and passenger window has poorly designed seal making for air wooshing sounds. The back windows, when opened on the freeway, shound like someone is running a jack hammer in the back seat. That the only thing I can call a problem. The car is a charmer and I think I'll keep this one for a few awhile.
Good, Better and Best
The gas milage is great. I just took a 8143 mile trip to Calgary Canada total average milage was 28.+ and that is from a 240 hp car. the traney could be better for a 6 stik. it was comfortable and has great looks. I had to pay a premeium for the car. I love this car but it is up for sale as I want to buy a 2004 coupe 6stick with sat nav

My 13th Honda
Bought a Civic in 1975 and then 12 Honda Accords. Previously I owned everything from Volkswagons to Cadillacs and none compare to the quality and reliabilty of the Honada. I love the power of the 2003 V6 (240 HP..it will zip when you put it to the floor. Like I said this is my 13th Honda...highly recommend to everyone!!
Great value!...and still made in the USA
My wife and I bought this car a month ago and we love it. We got the V-6 and it has great performance. Everyone knows about the cars reliability and resale value, but I was blown away by the ergonomics and the interior features it had. Everything was in the perfect spot. From the cupholders to the telescoping tilt wheel, the Accord is a very well engineered vehicle.
Great car, Nav system is tops!
Tested Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen, Chevy, Cadillac, Mercedes- Benz, and others. The Accord is the best family sedan currently being manufactured (7-series excepted). The Honda voice-controlled computer/nav system is the best on the market, beating Cadillac and MB hands down. It's a shame that most reviewers aren't avvy enough to report on it more. It's not all about the computer system, though. The driver's seat is incredible in it's ability to soothe my aching back. I've owned cars with good back support, but none compares to this Accord. All around, this is a fabulous car.
Honda Accord V6 2003
My wife wanted a car and I wanted a SUV. After driving the V6 Accord I was very impressed and I look forword to driving it when my wife is not behind the wheel.
5th Accord
I bought the car new and the only probably I have had is the Engine light came on and it was a sensor. The dealer charged $385 to fix. Just replaced the tires at 58,000 miles. The V-6 is powerful. I rented a car at the airport recently and it was 2010. Basic and when I got back in my Accord I felt that I was driving pure luxury. This is my 5th Accord
Best Value for the Fun
impressed with the gas mileage, price, and reputation. too much fun to drive for the money!
okay
Only problem is I have been back to dealer 3x for the annoying problem of center console door problem. once closed it will not open (where I have CD's that I can't get to)and I have to go back again because it STILL isn't fixed they obviously never test it prior to giving it back to me. Otherwise dealer is responsive to my needs
More Bang for Buck
Compared to Sebring LXI and Hyundai Sonata. Car has more features very well built.Honda had total driver comfort in mind.Peppy 4cyl and for reliabilty/price you cant go wrong. 100% satisfaction.Great resale to other two cars i looked at.Got car for good price also.
Great car. stiff (jittery) ride.
My previous car was a (great) 94 Accord LX 4 cylinder with auto transmission. My new 2003 (4 cylinder, LX, auto) has a much stiffer ride. Small bumps are felt. MSRP (with side air bags) was about $20,700. Invoice was about $18,700. I bought it for exactly $18,000 (+ $139 dealer conveyance fee + state sales tax). I drove a 2003 Camry for 2 weeks (rental) and if you want a smoother ride, I'd recommend the Camry. I must add that I am VERY please with my new Accord!
One Pretty Car
Couldn't decide between Accord and Camry, all I had to do was sit in the Accord, didn't even drive it first. Love the new style, lots of luxury features without the cost. Got a great deal with great financing.
My Wonderful Honda
I have had my honda for 2 months now. I love her so much, she is so good to me, she is so sturdy and pretty. she drives well, she stops well, and i fit her like a glove, oh the radio!!!!!! wow is out of sight
Fast and Smooth
Silk-smooth V6 masks rapid acceleration. First few weeks of highway driving found myself ended up closer to the car in front than intended after passing. Amazing seats makes my daily 60-mile roundtrip a pleasure. Car as delivered had no defects and remains so after six months. Enjoy the communicative steering.
One GREAT Honda
We spent 3 months looking and driving everything out there. My wife wanted the Acura TL S-type 3.2, but we are so glad we waited for the V6 EX and it feels bigger inside, handles great and is so solid. Test Drive this car last, compare all the extra features for the price and you will be glad you did.
Huhoooooooooo! Love it!
This car is so awesome all around... It is smooth and quiet. Very fun to drive. I love the front and rear design. A few disappoinments... Honda didn't XM Radio. They offer for Acura but not Honda. Also, Honda Coupe EX didn't have thermometer and Compass.
The Best Accord Ever
This is the best car we have ever owned. I was invited to drive the new BMW's at the Greer s.c. plant in February 2003. Altough the BMW's were great cars I am more impressed with my Honda. I only wish they made a police package.
Best car I have owned
This is my 3rd Accord and my 4th Honda. I have owned over 12 cars in the past 35 years and no car has impresed me as much as the 2003 Accord EX V6. I had looked at Toyota and others but for the price no car could beat the Accord. Ive had the car a few weeks now and I have no complaints of any kind. The car is loaded with everything and anything any driver could ask for.
Interesting
I really like the car. The only problem I can see is the fact that the instrument panel lights are too bright in the daylight. If you dim them, then you have to readjust whenever you use the headlights because the panel lights automatically dim. But the car is fun to drive and very comfortable on long trips. It have enough power to past in traffic and it's relatively quiet at highway speeds. I would highly recommend the Accord if your looking to only spend $20k.
Great Car, bad dealer
I have been researching this car for a few months now. I finally got to drive it and love it more than I even thought I would! I drove both the 6 cyl and the 4 cyl setups. The 4 cyl really suprised me, and the interior was more comfortable than my current luxury car. The ride was a tad bit stiff, but as a result pulling corners was great with little roll. However, the deal went sour when the sales "manager" tried to mislead me about some stuff, so Costa Mesa Honda won't be getting my business! Beware of this dealership, and do your homework before you go to ANY dealership.
Excellent Value
After months and months of research and test drives, I finally chose the Accord V6. I test drove the Mazda6, Passat, Acura TL, Altima, and none compared to the value and quality that the Accord possesses. I have just over 800 miles and no worries. Sound system is great-- BOSE is overrated. Averaged 26 MPG on the first tank of gas! Very Impressed.
Best value for the price
I have my car for two months and love it. Wanted to get something that was sporty, reliable, powerful and comfortable. This car has all of those characteristics and more. I researched and drove the VW Passat, Mazda 6, Lexus ES 300, Nissan Altima, Infinity G35 and BMW 325i. Out of all those cars, the Accord offered the most features for the least amount of money. The car has great pickup in both the low and high RPM ranges. There is a slight delay between when I press on the gas and when I see results, similar to a 4 cyl turbo. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the car and would consider getting another one in the future.
100% Improvement over previous years
Honda has really outdone themselves. There is more standard features like, keyless entry, abs brakes. The new transmission is so smooth, the older models very rough. All my friends love it, and it was very affordable.
the greatest accord
this car is the best sedan on the panet.great price 23k,great Performance (love the hp240)great gas mileage 30-32
$ for $ well worth-it
This car is exceptionally fun to drive.
Outstanding Ride!
Powerful, quiet, comfortable, reliable...good value for under $25k
The Legend Returns?
This is our fourth Honda, previously owned 1970, 1988, 1999 and now 2003. In 1991 we bought an Acura Legend. I am surprised how similar in many respects the Accord is to the Legend. Interior dimensions are almost identical, the ride is very similar, but I think the interior design and quality is perhaps better. We were going to hold out for a V-6 with Navigation, but they were hard to come by, so we test drove the EX 4 Cylinder. For a retired couple the power is more than sufficient and the new 5-speed automatic transmission is silky-smooth.
Way to Go Honda!
I swear by the reliability of a Honda. This is my 4th Honda, but my first Accord. I just purchased the EX V6-4dr Sedan and WOW! I've been toying with purchasing the 2003 E320-Mercedes for months. When I saw the new Accords and checked out what you get for the price, my decision was made. I couldn't bring myself to pay 13k more just to get what I wanted. Once again Honda has proven that they deliver high quality for the price. WAY TO GO!
Near Luxury Car
I drove Camry and Altima before buying this car but accord provides excellent handling, very quiet interior and good ride comfort.
Not So Great A Car, just OK
First Honda. Purchased this car mainly because of design and reputation. Hate the ride (rough and loud on freeways). Has serious blind spots rear quarter and front. Stereo leaves much to be desired. Gas mileage first 4000 miles is terrible, much less than my Solara. Rear seat room very minimal. Moon roof control can only be operated by driver and is not auto one touch open/close. Engine hesitates during quick acceleration.
Happy In Ohio
Overall, a quality car for the price. This is my third Honda, and all 3 have had great resales, I expect this to be the same. Most people that see it ask what kind of make, they can't believe its a Honda. Only issue so far is a sulfur smell after short trips; dealer says it's due to brand of gas??
This is the best deal out there!!
Used Carsdirect.com to find a a dealer and got a price quote in 24 hours. Negotiated over the phone for $24k, exactly Edmunds TMV price Don't listen to dealers who won't sell for this price! Now for the car. Honda did it again Upgraded from a 2000 LX and happy I did. More powerful, so many more features..Navigation system is simply amazing. The dash is crystal clear. Good performance for 4 cyl. Practically feels like a V6! Was also considering the Acura TSX but the difference in price (almost $6k) just wasn't worth it. The TSX is also much smaller. You can't beat all the options Honda offers for the price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Rattle Car
It is a good car if you don't care about the rattles.
V6 Navi Coupe
I waited for the Nav system to finally buy this car. I was more than impressed by the features. A friend has a Mercedes S600 and the Nav system is archaic compared to the one in the Honda. I finally read the directions and unearthed all the features and voice activated commands, it will do everything but make a cup of latte.
WOW !
After months of research and trying to be talked into looking at the Altima or G35, I went with reliability, owning an Accord for the past 15yrs, why mess with a good thing? after all '03 will proabaly the best year model...ask me in another 15 yrs !
2003 Accord, gotta love it
We bought the Honda Accord a couple of months ago and it has been such a great decision. We wanted something that had nice room, power and fuel economy, we got what we wanted and then some. We regularly take it on trips (over 100 miles) and it has been very comforatble. I look forward to long drives in this car and my pocket book loves it too.
Accord EX V-6 Coupe w/Leather
Overall a very good looking car and very comfortable to drive. Had a problem with the sash moldings around the windows wrinkling up on both sides and the trunk latch was not installed correctly.
The new and the best
I love my accord it is tons better than the old one there is no wind nose and 240 horses!
Thankful we passed on BMW
Wow - This isn't an Accord. My wife and I were set on either a newer 328i BMW or an older 528i BMW. I am so glad we took the 7th generation V6 Accord for a spin. Interior and exterior is a 10+ and it flies!
Sense of Reliability
I have known about the spirited nature of both Honda Inc., and their products. I was unprepared for the excellence that I got when delivery was made. The NAV system is incredible. I do miss traction control, and delay lighting. Other than that, the car sets high standards for all others to follow.
Great car for the money
Bought in Feb. Great car so far. Lots of compliments. Strong V-6 gets awesome gas milage. Navi works great, missing a few little features, but other than that it is one of the best cars there is for the money.
EX Accord w/ Leather and Navi
I bought this car two weeks ago and it is the most comfortable car that I have ever been in. All of the controls are easily accessible on the steering wheel and the Navigation system is unsurpassed! I wasnt sure if I wanted the V-6 or the 4 cyl. but after driving both I was convinced that the 4 cyl. was the best I'd ever driven. The pick up is surprisingly good and the V-6 gas mileage wasnt worth the trade off. I have only put 1200 miles on it so far and I already get 400+ miles on one tank of gas. Love this car...got it at an amazing price...would recommend it and the dealership I went to to anyone!
big fan
brandy new accord is fun fun fun. loving it. kills a couple buddies of mine that have an 01 and an 02 that are missing many extras the 03 includes with the ex package. again, can't say how pleased i am thus far.
Wow, what a car.
Just recently bought an 2003 Accord Ex 4 cylinder automatic, (traded-in my 2000 LeSabre)and really .... wow!! What a pleasure to drive, solid, quiet and as roomy inside as my full size LaSabre. Admittedly, I haven't had the car long, but it has really impressed me with it's quality.
Better than you might expect
I bought this Accord EX-V6 sedan brand new in December of 2002. Almost 6.5 years in, it has probably been out of service no more than a couple of weeks. I serviced primarily at two dealers (Braman in West Palm Beach, FL & Wade Raulerson in Gainesville, FL) - both are professional and prompt. I have a heavy foot, but my fuel economy is just ok. . . I struggle to get 20mpg with a 50/50 city/highway mix. Wind noise is unacceptably intrusive. However, engine and transmission refinement, overall ride quality, interior design and comfort, and the overall continued quality of this car are unsurpassed in the price range. Not without it faults, but definitely the best pick in this class of vehicle.
This is THE best car I have ever driven
This car is definately comparable to Lexus, BMW, Benz, and Audi. The good news: it's only a fraction of the price. Interior is the best I've seen, this car has awesome power, and the dash-lighting will blow you away. Great job Honda!!!!
What a bargain!
I got the LX-V6 because I wanted more headroom and was willing to give up the sunroof to get it. It also helped that the car was $2500 less than the EX-V6. Car is quite, comfortable, fast and a pleasure to drive. Wife has a 2002 Toyota Camry SE-V6; good car with no fun factor. If you want a great car with a wonderful V-6, you must drive this car before you buy anything else.
Congrat's to Honda For The New Accord
Just bought my Honda Accord EX V6 from Garica Honda in ABQ. Perhaps paid $200 too much based on prices on the net, but it was the only White one in New Mexico. Have had the car one week and am more than satisfied. I'm no car expert however did compare the Accord to the Lexus ES300 and other than a large price difference and a few minor items, the new Honda is simply a joy to drive.
LX Accord
Terrific all around family car.
EX 2003 4D-AUTOMATIC
nice car, kind of rough on road, engine is good, responsive(not v6), huge space interior. the design is not great esp. the rear with tail lights, looks odd.
