accord, coupe
The Honda Accord is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market. Our previous car was an Accord LX sedan. Our new Accord feels smoother, quieter, and has better pickup. The redesign od the coupe has turned some heads.
Nice Car
I was looking for an everyday car that is quiet, comfortable, good mileage, and stone-cold reliable. I like the outside. It is well done with clean lines.
Honda Accord vs Nissan Altima
I finally decided to test drive a Honda even though it has the simpliest styling on the planet. Everything about this test drive was PERFECT. The car accelerates well. It has all the features you want on a car. It is a nice car. The only problem is that it is not a HOT car. The Altima is hot but its features don't compare to the Accord. I definitely would choose the Accord over the Altima. The complaints about the Altima are brutal.
What a Difference !!
I just turned in my 2000 Acura Integra LX (Lease was up). What a difference in the ride, It's like day & night. Sooo much smoother. I bought the car Feb 19, 2003 and I really love the car. The body style is fantastic. I recommend that when you get the car put a spoiler on the trunk (it dresses the car up a lot) & a wind deflecter for the moonroof (it cuts down on the in-coming wind noise big time)
silverbullet
I have had this accord for 3wks and so far i love it better than my 98 accord exv6 that i traded for this one. The only complaint I have is that the steering wheel is off set I brought it in once and they said they fixed it, just brought it back today and they claim it needs a wheel alignment but I can deal with that thats not a big deal. other than that its a great car and great looking.
Who needs a Camry/Altima-Even Maxima?
Just purchased my 3rd Accord in 8 yrs. This one is light yrs beyond the others. For the money I cannot imagine a better vehicle. Well, this one with a different rear end!! What was Honda thinking. Got mine for $24,400 out the door. Couldn't get any comp veh for anywhere near that. Rides a little harsh for a 4 dr sedan (could be those Michelin tires)has tremendous power. Haven't noticed the mushy handling noted by all the car mags.
Not as good advertised or expected
While it maybe a decent car, comparing it with VW or Nissan is inappropriate.
My Accord
I traded in my 1999 Honda Accord for the 2003 new design. I love the ner sport look. It is a great reliable car.
a rough ride
I feel every bump in the road--and every gear shift is shaky--the first time I took it off an expressway it blew a tire--the donut at 50 mph with trucks approaching you from behind at 75 is more than enough to give a new term to the need to drink when you drive this car!!! The car veers to the left and them to the right--I think all the tires were out of alignment--and I've only got 400 miles on it...can't wait for more???
Once a Honda Owner, aways a Honda Owner.
I once own a 96 Accord, it's been very reliable to me ever since I owned it. I traded in for a fully loaded Infiniti G35 and obtained well resale to dealer value. Two weeks ago, my folks showed me their fully loaded V-6 Coupe for themselves. I was amazed by the package accord has to offered. Design, voice recognization, touch screen navigation and all of other cool stuff for 10K less that what I paid for my G35. I am definately going to come back to Honda on my next car purchase.
Overrated/
Have had our Accord EX V6 for a couple of weeks and picked it over the Camry and Altima after much comparison shopping. Wife loved the black interior so that helped make the final decision. The fit and finish are first rate and love the engine and drivetrain but hope the reliablity and residual value will offset my disappointment with the lack of features found on most other cars in this price range and the boring styling especially the rear end.
Sun Visor/Rear View Mirror
Overall Great! Honda always manages to make a great car even better.
2003 EX Auto
Beautiful car. Nice ride, and it's a Honda
03 Honda Accord EX
Last 3 cars were Hondas ('91, '01 and '03) and this is my favorite. The only 2 cons to this car are the black interior...I should have gotten leather because of my dog and when backing it is sometimes hard to see, but I use my mirrors and haven't had a problem. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power for this size car.
The right choice
I had to make a decision on either the accord or the acura TL. After reviewing everything the accord made more sense from an economical standpoint. It is a great car and fun to drive. It was the best move I have made.
some improvements over previous model
had a 2000 Accord V6 coupe and traded in for a '03 4cyl coupe. Very pleased overall with the 2000 but this one has improvement in performance. the 4cyl drives almost like the 2000 6cyl. The improvement in torque and engine responsiveness is great. feels a lot more peppy. don't get the optional MP3 player though, it doesn't work right. and, the audio system is still below par. i don't think the better gas mileage that Honda claims is true. it's comparable, but not an improvement.
This car for less than 20 grand?
Basically I considered four different cars: VW Passat, Nissian Altima, Subaru Legacy and the Accord. All are nice and if price didn’t matter I would have gotten the Passat on the feel and looks. But after driving the Accord a few weeks there is just nothing to complain about. It feels so solid and quiet. The exterior is rather conservative, but if your after drag strip looks then you are in the wrong class of cars altogether.
Great car
I was comparing this car against the VW Passat and Camry. With V6 and Nav. It is a no brainer. It is fun to drive, more like a Bimmer. It is a much better car than the VW and Toyota.
Just got it, but a great car!
I scrutinized the Toyota Camary LE and SE, the Nissan Altima 2.5S, and the Honda Accord LX and EX, and what I came up with was for the money, the Honda Accord beat all of the above mentioned vehicles, hands down.
Most overpriced and overated Honda
The car has nice interior and the exterior is Mercedes-look alike, more sleek looking than the previous model. The power output is OK considering that Altima can pump 240 Hp.But compare to 2000 model I had, this car's gripping ability sucks. Not to mention high sticker price dealer place on it.Sometime Honda has to cut price for a mass production car like this.If you want a family car,it'll do great for.But if you have a sports car in mind, don't get this overpriced Honda.Get something like the Nissan 350Z.It not only looks one of a kind, but it'll probably save you some money and at same time give you much better performance.
Excellent Car!!!!!
Great Car!! Had a Saturn SL before and it was becoming JUNK @ 15000 miles. This 2003 Accord is a true gem of a car!! Its 200% better than my Saturn SL and 100% better than my 2001 Honda Civic.
My 2nd Accord
I cant honestly find anything wrong with it.I put 200k on my last Accord (94) Ihope this one is as good to me as my last.
This is a great car
This car is everything that I imagined when I ordered it. There is not one bad thing to say about it. It looks great, has a great ride that is solid and oh so quiet! 21 mpg on the first tank of gas...27 mpg on my first road trip.
Awesome 6-speed Coupe
Honda really has thier act togehter this time.
2003 Accord Coupe 6 Speed
I won't bore you with everything I could say about this car. It's an ideal blend of subtle styling with just enough performance to get you in trouble and as well appointed as a bemmer 3-series for fewer clams.
Accords have alignment problems
If you are considering buying an Accord, be very careful about the alignment. Upon the test drive of my Accord, I noticed bad alignment pulling the car to the right. I was assured that an alignment could be done to correct it, but after 3 alignment it still is noticably off alignment. It still pulls to the right, and now the steering wheel is several degrees off when the car is going straight. It is a tremendously negative feeling to have purchased a brand new car and to have the dealer tell you that the car cannot be perfectly aligned. So make sure you can accept the alignment of your Accord before you buy it.
Best Car Ever!!
This car seems to hit the perfect balance in every way that a car can. The fit and finish is excellent, the looks are stunning, and the features are unbelievable. You won't get more bang for your buck!!
Good car if everything worked
bought the car used with 28,000 on it. Since warranty went out no major problems. Radio light just went out, a common problem I just found out. I love Honda, thought I would have fewer problems with car, but most relatively small compared to others. I guess I got lucky. Overall, I know it will last me a good while, that's why we bought.
Great Car !!!!
Before buying my EX V6 I took a look at all of the other mid size cars out there including the Acura's, BMW's, Toyota's Audi's, Merc's, GM's ,etc. This Honda V6 has the a better combination of power, comfort, build quality than them all. Its roomy, fast, and very comfortable.
Great car, a pleasant surprise
For a 4 cylinder sedan with an auto transmission I was amazed at how this thing goes. It's no supercar, but the acceleration is better than you would expect from a car like this. It also handles quite well for a car its weight. On the practical side, I have had no serious problems with this car. Nothing but standard maintainance and the passenger widow rattles a bit. Stereo is great.
Just a suggestion
I love my car but I had a friend get me front license plate made and I cannot put on the front of my car. I see that most of these Honda's do not have a place to put a front license tag.
So Far So Good
While this may be a new body style and engine, I still expect the same reliability and fun-to-driveness of my past 2 accords. While this is my first coupe, it has been extremely fun to drive, especially when the VTEC kicks in, WHOOOSH. fun fun fun. So far so good, and I don't expect any less.
FIRST HONDA
GOOD FAMILY AUTO,IMPRESSIVE ACCELERATIONAND COMFORTABLE RIDE.BREAKING IS A LITTLE TO SENSITIVE BUT HANDELS LIKE A DEAMON.RADIO HAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH BASS AND ALMOST NO MIDRANGE.ENGINE IS ACCESSABLE AND OIL CHANGES A SNAP.THE AIRCONDITIONING IS THE COLDEST IVE EVER HAD IN AN AUTOMOBILE.THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER A LITTLE TO MUCH FOR ME WHEN THE AC COMPRESSOR KICKS ON
Love It
Just purchased this car to replace my '01 Honda Civic EX. Love the new styling and features for the price asked on the '03 Accord Coupe. I went for the 2.4L 4cyl. 5spd Auto EX-L it has everything I wanted!!
They almost got it right!
Overall, a very reliable, comfortable, qick car that I recommend with out reservation. Seats are comfortable, climate control works well, design is progressive yet seperates itself from the old design. Adequate room for family of five. The increase in fuel mileage with an increase in speed is a welcome improvement compared to my 2001 suburban.
Should have...
My wife and I bought a new 2004 Honda Odyssey which now has 53000 miles with no maintenance but oil changes. When I decided to trade my 2000 Mercury Mystique LS with 80000 miles, I found out that there was not trade-in value and that I probably could have/should have bought a Honda Accord back then. When I got into this 2003 Accord LX and drove it, I knew this was the car for me. I really enjoy driving this car-smooth ride, great handling, great workmanship
Woa, what a car!
First time I opened it up, I was impressed. Even at high speeds the car is smooth and quiet. The car is just plain fun to drive and great to sit in. Buy one, NOW!!! Hurry, why are wasting time reading these comments? GO BUY ONE!!!
2003 Accord 2 Dr 6 speed
Wow, what a great car !! I just traded my Acura TL Type S for the 2003 2 door Accord 6 speed. The reason I got rid of the Acura was terrible seats for any drive over 30 min, (there must be plywood under the little foam used in the seats) and the clumsiness of the transmision. The TL has so many shift points it takes a while any time above 10 MPH from when you step on the gas until the car acualy starts accelerating. Not so with the Accord, it handles better, drives better, better sound system, better fuel economy ( on regular not premium ). All around great car, it is amazing how nimble and quick it is!!!!!
Good car, but noisy
Original owner, now 7+ years old with about 70,000 miles, overall very reliable, nothing beyond regular maintenance until this year though the brakes need replacement too frequently. I had the rear first done at 20,000. Excellent mileage - 34-35 consistently on the long freeway trips, 26-28 in town mixed driving. The car is very responsive and peppy. The ride is a bit harsh however, and there is way too much road noise for a car in this class. This is my first Honda and I've been told road noise is common. My car tends to drift to the left and dealers have been unable to fully fix it. Annoying but not a huge deal.
What more could you ask for
I purchased my first non-American car after a horrible experience with a '98 Dodge Intrepid that needed an engine replacement. I think I'm hooked. The engine is what sold me on this car. It is super-smooth, quiet, and very fast. The interior design is beautiful. The center radio/climate control screen looks nice and is easy to use. The styling of the back end of the coupe reminds me of Mercedes, only better.
Best Sports Coupe under $30,000
After looking at a variety of cars over the past several months, including Altima V-6, Mazda6, Subaru WRX I stumbled upon the Honda dealership who had a brand new Black Honda Accord EX V-6 6 speed on the lot. I was blown away as soon as a stepped into the drivers seat. The car was so luxurious compared to all the previously mentioned cars. When I pulled away from the dealership and put my foot into it I was rewarded with a European sports sedan growl. I was gone no longer than 10 minutes but I bought the car as soon as I returned.
Best value for the price
I have my car for two months and love it. Wanted to get something that was sporty, reliable, powerful and comfortable. This car has all of those characteristics and more. I researched and drove the VW Passat, Mazda 6, Lexus ES 300, Nissan Altima, Infinity G35 and BMW 325i. Out of all those cars, the Accord offered the most features for the least amount of money. The car has great pickup in both the low and high RPM ranges. There is a slight delay between when I press on the gas and when I see results, similar to a 4 cyl turbo. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the car and would consider getting another one in the future.
100% Improvement over previous years
Honda has really outdone themselves. There is more standard features like, keyless entry, abs brakes. The new transmission is so smooth, the older models very rough. All my friends love it, and it was very affordable.
Thankful we passed on BMW
Wow - This isn't an Accord. My wife and I were set on either a newer 328i BMW or an older 528i BMW. I am so glad we took the 7th generation V6 Accord for a spin. Interior and exterior is a 10+ and it flies!
Sense of Reliability
I have known about the spirited nature of both Honda Inc., and their products. I was unprepared for the excellence that I got when delivery was made. The NAV system is incredible. I do miss traction control, and delay lighting. Other than that, the car sets high standards for all others to follow.
Great car for the money
Bought in Feb. Great car so far. Lots of compliments. Strong V-6 gets awesome gas milage. Navi works great, missing a few little features, but other than that it is one of the best cars there is for the money.
EX Accord w/ Leather and Navi
I bought this car two weeks ago and it is the most comfortable car that I have ever been in. All of the controls are easily accessible on the steering wheel and the Navigation system is unsurpassed! I wasnt sure if I wanted the V-6 or the 4 cyl. but after driving both I was convinced that the 4 cyl. was the best I'd ever driven. The pick up is surprisingly good and the V-6 gas mileage wasnt worth the trade off. I have only put 1200 miles on it so far and I already get 400+ miles on one tank of gas. Love this car...got it at an amazing price...would recommend it and the dealership I went to to anyone!
big fan
brandy new accord is fun fun fun. loving it. kills a couple buddies of mine that have an 01 and an 02 that are missing many extras the 03 includes with the ex package. again, can't say how pleased i am thus far.
Wow, what a car.
Just recently bought an 2003 Accord Ex 4 cylinder automatic, (traded-in my 2000 LeSabre)and really .... wow!! What a pleasure to drive, solid, quiet and as roomy inside as my full size LaSabre. Admittedly, I haven't had the car long, but it has really impressed me with it's quality.
Better than you might expect
I bought this Accord EX-V6 sedan brand new in December of 2002. Almost 6.5 years in, it has probably been out of service no more than a couple of weeks. I serviced primarily at two dealers (Braman in West Palm Beach, FL & Wade Raulerson in Gainesville, FL) - both are professional and prompt. I have a heavy foot, but my fuel economy is just ok. . . I struggle to get 20mpg with a 50/50 city/highway mix. Wind noise is unacceptably intrusive. However, engine and transmission refinement, overall ride quality, interior design and comfort, and the overall continued quality of this car are unsurpassed in the price range. Not without it faults, but definitely the best pick in this class of vehicle.
