I never thought I would like the Honda Accord. My wife always wanted one. I was a Volvo lover and have owned three of them in the past, but after test driving the 2003 4 door Accord, that was it. I was convinced on getting rid of our 99 Volvo S80 for a new Honda. Purchased one at Honda of Mckinney and the people there are great. A+ in my book. Can't say enough about the car. It is truly a fun car to drive. Only problem we found was a piece of trim molding on the right hand threshold of the door frame popped up. Dealer said to bring it in and they will fix it. Good buy Volvo, Honda here to stay.

Things Have Been Fixed and I'm Happy now

We finally got everything fixed. The dealership was awesome in handling all the problems I've written down, and trust me there were many, but now, the car is great no problems, no rattle nothing. We have 26,000 miles on it and its really doing great. I blew the speakers once because there was a defect in the back speakers, the dealership suprisingly fixed it without any question. I think the dealership was shaken when my mother said that we had to buy a new car and probably weren't going to buy another Honda if its like this one has been.

Test drove 2002 looking for a deal, then made the mistake of test driving the O3. Unless you are ready to buy don't do it, because you will fall in love with it. From the Comfy seats to the nice interior design and room it all makes sense. I did notice that I had some rattles that I couldn't find, but probably just a new car settling in. Also, the brakes squeek, but hey its vegas (dry and dusty). I do like the radio, but I don't like the antenna (stations fade in and out).

After my experience with my 1992 Honda Accord I knew my replacement had to be a new Accord. I have a 2003 Accord EX V6 coupe. It is fun to drive, I have gotten many positive comments from strangers at gas stations about the design of the car. The car is fun, it feels safe, reliable, it's a Honda. Average 28mpg average driving, as high as 31mpg all highway driving.

This car has the best seats in the class. The ride is a little too firm compared to the camry. If they could put the accord seats into the camry then you would have the perfect car, imho. It has it's share of rattles. It's performance is excellent. could use lighted controls on the wheel and the paint is very thin. Think that I will be switching back to the camry shortly. The seats are all that is holding me back. Overall a nice car for the younger crowd. Middle age may want more refinements.

I have an empty nest now and I was looking for a really cool car. It was time for Mom to get something she really wanted. I test drove many sports cars and still came back to the Accord. Only this time I went with the coupe. I added what I like to call the Mid Life Crisis Package. I added the body kit, fog lights, spoiler and it is red. When I pull up to stop lights and go thru drive through resturants, it is very common to receive comments about what a neat car I have. Honda has finally exceeded my expectations by giving me reliablity and performance of an Accord and added coolness of a sports car. I use my car with my work and reliability is number one. Thanks Honda!

Honda has done it again with their Accord line. For 2003 the new accord's comfort is unmatched for the price your getting it for. Having experience with a 2002 camry too, although the camry may Look better on the Outside, but never judge a car by its hood!, its whats under the hood and whats in the car(interior kicks A$$) and has more luxury features and more options to customize, the accord is more on the conserviative side and priced and built only with highest quality in mind, still manage to blance out with conserving and FUN to drive:-D

This is my third Honda Accord (previous model years were 1986 and 2004) and I have not experience the same build quality as with the previous models. The 2003 model has numerous rattles (dashboard, front windows and headliner), the material covering the side curtain air bags is sagging (dealer advised this is normal), the plastic on the doors and door frame floor is wearing poorly, the plastic front seat moldings near the floor are uneven, the front windshiled exterior molding is buckling. Experienced numerous issues with the dealer. Delivered the vehicle without all of the purchased accessories, took two months to fix CD bin door. Overall, poor service.

This is our 2nd Accord (we bought one in May 2003). The Accord has many standard features that are extra on Camry. Didn't consider the Maxima because of the premium fuel requirement. Didn't consider the Altima because of reviews of the "noisy" 4 cyclinder engine. The Altima V6 is the same as the Maxima V6, so it would requre premium gas so the Altima was out of the question. Toyota has ABS as extra?!?! You must be kidding. Interior design of Accord is much better than the Camry.

Honda finally got it 100% right for this market. Great value for your money. I paid $25,900 for my Accord w/ Navi. Interior is clean and functional, and very roomy. Great layout of dials and switches (except moonroof switches). Exterior is clean, and growing on me. I have not liked Accord styling in the past. This is truly an outstanding deal for the money, and easily outweighs buying a more prestigious brand like a BMW 3 series, or Infiniti G35, which is what I was originally interested in.

The reliability of these cars can't be touched. Why buy American? The last Dodge I owned was a mud motor! I also owned an Oldsmobile, what a joke! I've had my Honda over 2 years and no problems. Brakes and battery yes, but normal on any car. I also owned a Nissan maxima for over 10 years! Only normal wear and tear. Although I must say Chevy trucks are the best! Fords have horrible trannys! If not for Chevy I would only buy Honda or Nissan. I hope this info will help you when shop around.

I keep wondering why I didn't buy a Honda sooner. The four door EX with the four banger sprints nicely. There is plenty of room for the family. On the first tank of gas we got 33 mpg on the highway as promised by the sticker. The handling is precise. The brakes are excellent. It has a sunroof, 6 disc in dash cd. And it looks great. Why did I insist on driving Fords, Olds, Pontiac and Lincoln for years? Who knows. Will I ever go back? Perhaps. Will I buy another Honda? Certainly. Oh, and don't forget the price. I drove away for the sticker price of 23k. Excellent.

I have owned three previous Accords and the 2003 is the fourth and most satisfying Honda Accord, because I am an experienced, aggressive, and passionate driver to say the very least. And the 2003 EX-V6 Accord feels and handles very comfortable and touring in city traffic and very exhilarating, fun, and fast to drive on the highway!!! Also, there is virtually NO "TORQUE STIR" on quick take-offs, small amount of body-roll in hard cornering, and can come out of corners delivering Awesome power and stability. Truly, this is an Accord like know other!!!

I put on 56K in a little more than 2 years, and have no problems with this car. Just make sure all the regular maintenance is done when they should be done, and this car should last forever. My tires still have about 35% left, and my back brakes are still not changed yet... so I don't understand why some of the comments on here stating that the brakes are worn out at 14K!!! How do they drive their cars? I wonder?? This car is absolutely great.

My first and second cars were both Ford Mustangs first a 6cyl then a GT. I initially wanted a lower car payment and I liked the Honda Accord. So I tool a look. This car is fantastic! I love the get up and go... I don't miss the GT much at all. Back seat room is great for a 2 door. It is super quiet and peppy for a 4 cyl. I love Hondas now after always been exposed to American cars all my life, I can tell you I will never go back. Honda's are built to last. I love the quietness of this car.

I did a lot of research before finally deciding on the Accord. I compared the Accord to just about every car in it's class and price range (Camry, Altima, RSX, etc.) The Accord gave me the best bang for the bucks! With standard ABS, and a 5spd auto tranny! I've had the Accord for about 2 months now, I have to say, I'm very pleased with the car. The car gives me very decent performance (for a 4 banger). The interior is very roomy, and ride quality is excellent. The engine sounds very smooth, and acceleration is more than enough for regular use. Gas mileage is very good 23mpg(city) / 30mpg(hwy).

I recently bought this used to have a cash car and to get into something with better gas mileage than my truck. I love the styling and would say it on of my favorite years for being sporty and practical all in one car. I have lots of trunk space, the seats are comfortable and the stereo even sounds good. My main issue is I'm getting poor gas mileage. I wasn't expecting the EPA mileage, but for a 4-cyl, I was hoping for better than 20/30. I average about 23-24 mpg. I have explored all the gas saving tune ups too. I was getting 19-20 in my v-8 truck. I wish I would have opted for the 6-cyl as the mileage is about same with more oomph.

Substantially Better than Camry

We dreamed of buying a Camry for years and had a 2003 LE all picked out and then decided to take a quick look at the new Honda Accord just to make sure. We had already driven the Passat &decided it wasn't worth the extra $3500. We found the Accord to be better in the following areas: Brakes on the Camry were mushy and a disapointment. Pedal doesn’t respond until pedal half-way to floor. Accord has double-wishbone suspension and Camry doesn't. Accord interior totally outclassed Camry. Seats in Accord are far more comfortable. The style of cloth material in the Accord outclasses Camry's.

Horrible Ergonomics

Pickup is strong, and ride is very smooth. Moreover, trunk room is cavernous, while interior passenger room is adequate. The driver's seat, however, is extremely hard on my back, to the point where my back actually hurts when I get out of the car after a 15+ minute drive. I think theproblem stems from the fact that the lumbar is not adjustable on the LX, and so it sticks into the small of my back. For the money I paid, the lumbar should be adjustable, not fixed according to some notion which the Honda engineers have as to how "most" people sit. This makes the car VERY unpleasant to drive. And this is not due to a pre- existing back problem.

I'm pretty happy with the Accord overall. I wanted the CRV, but didn't like the way it rode. The car looks great and rides well, generally, but the city gas mileage is rotten. Also, the blind spots are very big. Finally, on one of the hotter days this summer, the wheels made this horrible, screeching, metal-on-metal noise that went away after a few minutes and came back periodically. It was only that one day and I never heard it again, but it was unsettling.

The price affordable except it didn't came with guard doors and side guard so I had to pay $200 extra, but the the EX V6 with four doors, they come with all these extra. Fun to drive and still I am learning all those buttons. I sugest this car to all of you who wants a good car to have fun and drive long trips.

I recently bought an 03 Accord LX 4dr 5-speed 4cyl, June 2008. I love the reliability of this vehicle. The gas mileage is great on the highway or in the city. With 25+ MPG, it is quite the gas saver. There are hundreds of after market modifications for this vehicle, making upgrading fun and a must. The interior is well laid out with an exterior that's just as well. The Accord is bigger and roomier than the civic making it a more comfortable ride. Options such as cruise control, steering wheel volume control, 5-disc changer and CD player add to the versatility and comfort. I love the fact that oil changes are needed only every 5,000 miles. For the price, an 03 LX was the best option for me.

I have 45,000 miles on my 2003 EX V6 and I have no complaints. I shipped the car to England where I am driving it now and have been on three vacations to France, Germany and Italy and have been amazed with the power that the V6 puts out. Very few cars can keep up with it on the Autobahns. I have gotten on a average of 26 miles to the gallon while averaging over 100 MPH. The stock tires have held up well and the brake pads still have plenty of life. The only complaint is that the suspension is fairly soft but that should be fixed when I replace the stock shocks with some KYB's that I have on order.

I was drawn to the Accord because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and fun-to-drive nature. I am so glad I bought this car! It drives like a MUCH more expensive car. The interior is stunning, with awesome LED gauges. The build quality is top-notch. The Accord has such a solid feel and sound when you close the doors and trunk. The 4 cylinder is plenty peppy for commutiing and has no problem cruising at 90+ mph. The car is so solid and quiet. The 5spd. auto is absolutely seemless The seats are probably the most comfortable I have ever sat in for a car under $60K.

This is my firstcar and I absolutely love it. It is so stylish and at the same time so dependable. The four cylinder engine is surprisingly powerful and only struggles when going up steep hills. The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of leg and head room which I really appreciated seeing I'm almost 6'. My only complaints about the interior deal with the dashboard. At night the radio and all the controls glow a very annoying bright orange color. Also the vents are positioned so they blow right on your hands when you have them at the proper 10 and 2. Those are my only complaints on the entire car and I can definitely live with them.

A traveling salesman by trade, my first Honda Accord has been a very good purchase. This review should touch on my previous experience buying Ford Taurus as the previous cars uded for the last ten years. All I can say after many painful years buying and fixing Ford products I can not believe it took me so long so finally buy the Honda. I just hit 100,000 miles on my 2003 Accord Lx with no trouble what so ever. I performed the standard maintenance items and drove the car this long with no troulble what so ever. If this was my last two years typically I would get maybe 36 to 40 thousand miles before serious trouble with Transmissions or electric problems would occur. I will buy another Accord

I purchased vehicle new in 2003. It has excellent expected Honda reliability with one major exception!!! The brakes fail almost completely in winter driving conditions. My model has ABS and I am experienced driving in snow and this is the most dangerous car I have ever driven in snow. Thank god I don't live in an area that gets snow. Dealership did an inspection; said they found nothing..mind you...problem only occurs in snow! 1-800-Honda has done nothing either!!! Think twice before buying if you ever need to drive in snow. Chains made no difference when trying to stop.

This car is great. The 4-cyl is smooth and responsive. I test drove the automatic, and it was extremely smooth, but the 5-speed stick is much more fun. The stereo is even good, not what I expect in a honda! Much better interior than the old model, and quiter inside. Not sporty, but it can still be entertaining to drive. Fuel economy is excellent.

I wanted to upgrade from my '96 Civic and looked at several cars. I looked at price and reliability. This car had the best price/features/reliability. The small details are great. When you turn off the pull out the key, the interior lights come on. The door ajar idiot light tells you which door is ajar. The center console armrest pulls out so short people or people with long arms can adjust the console. I like the large knobs for the stereo/ air conditioner although they took some getting used to.
