V6 performs well, especially with 5- speed automatic transnission...very smooth. Ergonomically well thought out with power supplies, cup holders, and cup holders. Great handling and quiet. Seat warmers are a hit with my wife, and dual climate control was a selling point.

I can now understand why there are so many loyalists to the Honda Accord. Not only was the experience of purchasing the car a pleasure but driving it is just unbelievable. The 4- cylinder has more than sufficient Power for both city and highway driving.

Very comfortable, quiet, handles very nicely. Back seat legroom adequate but not generous. Sun visors interfere with mirror, audio controls excellent. Single piece front bumper VERY expensive to replace. Can adjust driver seat to very upright position...great feature. Great value.

I was sold after one block on my test drive. The Accord is one fantastically engineered machine for the money. I got the 4 cyl. and manual trans. for fuel economy, but the performance is still great. No problems at all merging on the interstate or passing.

V6: Too many rattles for a Brand new car. RR side window drags thus scratchws it on the FIRST try. 16 days after purchased. Paint is just OK. Slight pings become dents throughout. I placed my hand on the side roof and a small indentation remained. I weigh 148 lbs.

After considering the Toyota Camry (no rear head room, Passat (great color selection but too small back seat), Nissan Altima and various others, we chose the Accord EX 4 cylinder. My wife and I love the car. I can't believe the amount of options you get for money. I read the post above and honestly can't ever see anyone giving a honest 3! You made a decision to spend $25k on a car that you didn't like? Hope you don't make such quick decisions on other important things! ;') Back to more positive things, for those of you that want true value in what you purchase..buy a Honda! No, I don't sell them, but wish I did. God Bless America

A few more "add-on's" and I would never look at another car. Performs like cars costing $10,000 - $20,000 more. Gas milage on the highway around 32 mph and 20 mph around town. Bought another just like it for my son;he got the 4cyl, I got the jet!

Just purchased this evening. Bought it September 30. Avoided the licensing or registration increase, nice. Didn't get the greatest pricing buying so late, with most other makers offering cash back, but I was quoted a price 3000 less than sticker before negotiating. Not bad considering the area and dealer rep where I bought it, they do offer great customer service. Well designed, and a real deal when compared to other models in it's class. Interior is luxurious, for the price. Has power, and handles well. All the comfort and luxury features make it feel like a more expensive car, that compared with the price, is unbeatable. I would recommend it.

I've been driving Honda/Accura products since early 80's, almost exclusively. They are without a doubt the most reliable and dependable automobiles I have ever been priveledged to drive. As a salesrep, I cover most of four states of which 95% of 40,000 miles I average a year call for me to have a car I know will start every time and get me to my destination with minimal maintainance. Out side of oil/filter change and periodic checkups, Honda fills the bill for me!

After owning for almost 2 years, no complaints. There was a recall on the tranny, but it was fixed in an afternoon, and I never noticed anything wrong anyway. MONSTER power for a "family" car (and 30mpg hwy!)- perhaps it could handle more stiffly for that much power but I guess that's the "comfort" trade-off. And it does ride very smoothly. No maintenance hassle at all. Rides like a nice upper- class Benz. Amazing car - only complaint is the console "lid" under stereo sometimes does not want to close - kinda cheaply constructed - but everything else feels really solid. For the money, you cannot get a better car (EX-V6 leather), period.

Best Car I've Owned

I owned multiple Hondas, then after a brief (and painfully expensive) experience with a VW, I came back to Honda again with the 2003 Accord Coupe. I haven't been disappointed. 98k miles later and only routine maintenance. Still have original rear brakes/rotors. Front brakes and tires changed at 70k. Headlamps burned out at 60k, but they only cost about $30 each to replace so no big deal. Dash panel went out after warranty expiration (I saw others mention the same thing), but it was replaced free of charge without issues. While it may seem that everyone and their brother has one of these, it's hard to argue with top-notch quality, along with performance, reliability, and good looks.

Bought a new Accord 4 months ago and I'm loving every minute of it. My wife says that we spend more on gas now than before we bought it simply because I live to drive more than I did before. It is everything I could ask for without spending over $25,000, good performance, quality, design, the whole package.

This car is awesome! From the heated leather seats (Great for Chicago winters!)and the dual climate control to the very informative and helpful Navigation system, I love spending time in the car! The 4dr-V6 is a powerful sporty ride without the small interior found in most coupe models. I originally wanted a 2 dr until I drove the 4dr Accord. The interior is roomy and comfortable. All around very happy with our decision to buy the 4dr EX V6 with Nav system.

I love my 03 Honda Accord 2.4 cyl EX with leather. With 98,000 miles on it, this car continues to amaze me. The only non-standard repair involved the 6 CD changer/radio's electronic screen going blank and the dealer replaced the radio at no charge, even though it was out of warranty (this is a common problem I was told). My car averages 27+ MPG combined and on the highway, it easily exceeds 30 MPG. On my car, the maintenance items like the disc brakes have to replaced every 24,000 miles and the rotors roughly 50,000 miles. The tires on the back were the original tires until recently when I replaced all four tires. This time I'll rotate them, to get even wear.

Our last car was the current model VW Passat. Nice car, but highly problematic. Our new Accord is head and shoulders above the Passat. Honda realized that folks want the feel and performance of a German car. The Accord hits this target with a totally un- Honda feel in all the right ways. Steering, handling, and powertrain work with the precision of a fine German car. The 4-cylinder is smooth and powerful; the auto transmission is razor sharp and always selects the right gear. The car has great passing power and brakes to match. Having owned the Passat and having test-driven Camry and Mazda6, the new Accord is better in every way.

A co-worker described it well when he got out after a ride and said, "if you were to put me in here blindfolded, I'd think I was in a luxury car." Drives and feels more like a luxury car than a family sedan ought to at this (or any) price. Car is smooth & quiet describes this car perfectly (no squeaks or rattles in my sample, at least.) Ergonomics are superb; interior layout & controls are clear, well placed, and provide good tactile feel. Drivetrain does an admirable job of hustling when you want it to, but never at the expense of ride quality. Dealer experience was great, pricing was more than fair.

After shopping for 4 months, I was ready to buy an Infinity G35 when I decided to test drive the new Honda. The build quality is great, handling is outstanding and the performance of the 4 cylinder is amazing. Having owned 2 other Honda's, the car seemed to "fit" better than the more expensive Infinity and the quality of interior of the Honda is much higher. It is not a sports sedan; however, it is a fun to drive family sedan...good job Honda.

Rides a little on the rough side, front cup holder is a joke and the Mercedes rear has to go. The Japanese have always been the best imitators and not innovators. With Honda just issuing an extended warranty on the transmission of the last generation Accord to avoid a recall, I don't know if I would trust these new tranny's yet. These are advertised at invoice in Detroit, so it may be worth a drive for you.

The power train is very smooth and quiet. For a family car it is fun to drive. Some annoying plastic on plastic rattles, a passenger heated seat back that doesn't heat, a thermometer that is 4 degrees high all the time. Even my Chryslers didn't have these issues. But a sweet power train

I purchased an EXV6 coming out of an Audi A6 lease. I'm amazed at the quality, ease of control, general comfort and feature list. It is not the driver's car that the A6 is, nor does it pretend to compete at that level, but for $12,000 LESS than the Audi...? I am VERY happy with this car and won't miss the oh-so-familiar Audi service department one bit.

I just bought this car two days ago!! I can't believe how it drives. We feel very safe in the car. I am glad I bought it. We looked at the civic, but for only $48 more a month we got the accord. The interest rates are the best. At 2.9%, my payments were low and all I put down was $500. It is roomier than the last year's styles. We had a 93 accord for 8 years and it never failed. Go for it. Honda's don't die.

I love this car! This is my first time buying a new car and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I am so glad I sprung the extra few bucks to get the leather interior, it looks 100 times better than the cloth interior and is extremely comfortable. This car drives great, runs smoothly and to top it off looks so sleek. I especially enjoy the controls on the steering wheel. I love driving my Accord and almost wish I could live in it.

Outside of this one problem, the 2003 Accord is Great. But 5-10 minutes into each trip it emits a horrible hydrogen sulfide smell. The dealer says there is nothing wrong w/ the car, but admits that others have had similar complaints. They basically told me that I will have the problem until they stop oxygenating (sic?) the gas. If you are sensitive to smells, don't buy this car until they have a solution.

Its no race car, but I was going 100 mph without realizing it. You cant even feel the gears changing. Buy one. Now.

For a better Accord: Standard Fog Lights Day Lights, Standard V6 or more HP and TQ on the 4 Cyl; Make a V Spec engine if is not patented by Nissan, Entry System with Auto StartA Better Warranty....3yrs or 36,000 miles is not good enough for the quality of this car...Remember if you are sure of the Quality of this vehicule you should make a better Warranty on it.

Honda has done it again with their Accord line. For 2003 the new accord's comfort is unmatched for the price your getting it for. Having experience with a 2002 camry too, although the camry may Look better on the Outside, but never judge a car by its hood!, its whats under the hood and whats in the car(interior kicks A$$) and has more luxury features and more options to customize, the accord is more on the conserviative side and priced and built only with highest quality in mind, still manage to blance out with conserving and FUN to drive:-D
