12,000 miles 2024 GMC 1500 -- quit shifting up and lost all reverse. Understand it's a problem with GM. No timeline on parts replacement -- super disappointing after dozens of GMC trucks purchased -- probably my last

I bought a Volcanic Red crew cab short box with grey leather interior and the premium plus package and the x31 package and the 5.3L. This is the first truck I've owned since an 86 K5 Blazer backbin tge day. I absolutely love this truck and will baby the delights out of it. It is a smooth, quiet ride (many times quieter then the Terrain). Occasionally, you get the truck-like bounce or sway on rough roads, but overall it is smooth and quiet. I attribute that to the x31 package. Event the all terain tires are quiet. The tech and radio with Bose speakers are more then I will ever use. Lots of options to turn on and off things to customize the vehicle to your liking. For instance, i don't love cool seats, so I have it so it doesnt turn on when i start the vehicle but the heated seats do. It has smart-sense wipers, I also have that turned off. I stick with android auto, but with a data plan through OnStar you can do a ton of stuff with other apps. The instrument cluster is very customizable, also. You can have it as busy or minimalist as you want. I like that you have buttons for the climate controls or you can do it through the infotainment screen. The back seat of the crew cab is huge. Lots of leg room even with the front seats all the way back. If there is a con, it's the 18mpg.....but nobody buys a truck to save the planet, and actually, 18 is an overall number and that's pretty good in my opinion.
