Had a 2001 Dodge Durango which I loved. After 12 years it was time for a new SUV. I test drove the Traverse, VeraCruz, Durango, and the Durango. As soon as I sat in the GMC, I was sold. The ride is comfortable, it handles great and has lots of room.

The front seats are great for long trips.... The back seats are not meant for adults long term. The seats are mostly firm but the worst part is the internal placement of the seatbelt that DIGS into your hip and it can't be moved.

Bought newer car to have Air

I purchased a newer car to have air conditioning, which I told dealer and I didn't have cash to fix anything, which I found out after purchasing 2012 Acadia Denali it had leakage problem and I wasn't told. They claimed to sell 100% quality cars and sold me their problem. We've had to replace freon multiple times in 2 years after they had already put leak color additive in it to find leak. I guess they gave up and never fixed it. It also has an awful smell that comes from air conditioning/ heater. It makes you sick and allergy clogged. And no one will tell you for certain what the pounds of freon should be because sticker wears off and no one can read them. This is beyond ridiculous when you pay this kind of money for a new car. Very sad.

In five short years of owning our Acadia we have replaced things that never went bad in other cars we owned for twice as long. We have replaced ALL of our control arms, the AC and heating systems. Many other minor issues. We have spent thousands of dollars (I stopped counting as it makes me sad). I am convinced I will not buy another Acadia.

Purchased my 2012 Acadia used but purchased the extended warranty. 8 months after my purchase the torque converter went out. They covered it but only replaced the torque converter. 14 months later it went out again. Warranty was out. Dealership wouldn't cover their work. GMC advisors couldn't help they advised the dealerships always told them to say no they couldn't do anything. They want to replace the transmission and said we would just have to "hope" it wouldn't go out again in 14 months. I can't afford 2,000 every 14 months to drive this car!
