the above refers to "automatic thermostat control" which I don't find to be a problem. Mechanically, never had any repairs. thermostat does give heat and a/c works most efficiently
216,000 miles and still doing great
Wow - what an awesome car. I picked it up as a used fleet car with 12,000 miles on it for $16k in 1996 - as of June of 2010 still has a lot of life left. Just this week needed to finally replace the catalytic converter - mechanic said with this car, it's worth it. He's so impressed - he checked her out from stem to stern and thinks she'll get at least another 50,000. This beauty doesn't owe me a dime - $500 to do the cat, so what, how much am I saving in car payments and insurance? Yeah, it's fabulous. Love this car.

Solid car
This is a solid trusty car. Always starts and drives very well. I hear of people with new cars having basic problems and so can't bring myself to think about changing this car. It is roomy, teh kids love going anywhere in dad's car..I feel like this car will go forever.
My First Car!
Bought it new, right out of college. Love the ride and acceleration of v-8. Comfy interior and nice looks, inside and out. Had intake manifold replaced under recall after failure and transmission reconditioned under warranty- no other unscheduled failures. Have 4 studded snows on factory rims- unstoppable in the snow with a judicious accelerator foot! Exepecting 1st baby and finding hard to replace with "family" car of equal price and performance.
bulletproff
What a great car! The 4.6 V-8 gets good mileage (20-24mpg) and is bulletproof. It's the same drivetrain as the police Crown Vics. I have done nothing but replace spark plugs once and install an alternator in 155,000 miles.
