Used 2000 Ford Ranger Extended Cab Consumer Reviews
Good little truck
No problems with this truck at all
most reliable truck ever
This truck just does not fail to impress. It is the most reliable truck I have ever owned. It has never been in a shop. Regular maintenance I do myself, change oil every 4000 miles, add oil treatment and fuel treatment at every oil change. This truck made me a true believer in Fords, since I owned Chevy and Dodge previously.
Good truck
Second one that I have owned. Looking to buy my third. Disappointed with the 3.0 like the 4.0 better
I bought a 5 year headache!!!
I bought my truck in 2001,I had it a week and noticed some problems, my seats kept popping of the track so they had to replace the tracks, then I noticed a noise under the truck so I took it back and they told me nothing was wrong.Well the truck needed new upper and lower ball joints, and bushings.1 month later I had the truck back in to replace the brake springs in the rear, and both rear shocks.2 months later I had the truck back in to replace the upper and lower control arm. Now I am having problems with my power windows. I had this truck in the shop 12 times in 4 months.
Last Ranger
Purchased USED,had 25000 on odometer. Enemic engine to say the least. Screams on the interstate, with a moderate load I'm being passed by 18 wheelers, with my foot mashed to the firewall. I always thought Ford made the Ranger but I'm now convinced Mazda makes it. One can not compare it to the Chevie S-10, I've owned three S-10 and this is my First and Last Ranger. The Chevie V-6 is twice the engine the Ranger has... As for creature comforts, Ford should borrow an S-10 and maybe copy half their interior design, starting with ease of getting into the back of the extended cab.Do yourself a favor, Drive an S-10 then the Ranger, you won't go Ford, I promise you.
