Used 1999 Ford Ranger Extended Cab Consumer Reviews
Love it
Bought mine in 2017 with 70k mi. It now has 115k three years later. It was previously owned by mechanics, so I'm lucky. It's driven me across the country 3 times and many other trips without an issue. However, I just had a vacuum leak occur (~$550) as I commute quite a ways to work. Does well in the snow (especially with good tires and a shell/sandbags). Perfect amount of space for me and all my stuff in the cab, and I can still give one person a ride if I need to. I love my truck and will drive it until it gives out on me.

Battle Tested
This car gave me no probelms ever. Once it was parked in front of my house and someone crashed into it at about 30 head on and my car was fine, his was totalled. The car did not survive its second accident, it was t- boned by a Ford Econoline going about 50, but no one in the Ranger had so much as a scratch.
Ranger
I am very satisfied with my vehicle and I don't have any regrets about purchasing it.
Good Used Vehicle for 1st time Driver
This dependable and easy to drive vehicle would be great for a first time driver. It is safe and durable. View of the road is excellent and brakes work well.
Still Seems New
I've owned the 4x4 extended cab ranger since 2000, 2nd owner. This truck still seems new to me, even though it has 50,000 miles on it. The only problem is with the 4x4 electrical engagement. There is a problem that will cost me about $500 to fix. Dealer has to replace electrical box on transfer case. Choppy ride is only draw back. Otherwise fit and finish, interior and exterior are still great. Ford replaced the "Firestone roll over tires" for free. All in all I'm still happy with this truck, and it is a shame to see such low ratings. I've been through the new Ford pick-up plant in Dearborn - it is state of the art, and super-environmentally friendly!
