Used 2003 Ford Focus Sedan Consumer Reviews
Traded a Gas guzzler for a Money Guzzler
Great car for the first 45,000 miles! The tranny went out and was replaced under warranty at 3 years old. A year after the transmission replacement, the brakes went out and had to be completely replaced. About two months after the brakes, the struts went out. Also had to have them replaced. Upgraded stereo went out then, started hearing a terrible front end grinding noise-was told it was the transmission. Called the dealership and they said it was 3 days out of warranty. Took it to a different dealership and was told the motor mounts were also bad. Oh, and the ignition switch locked up. Was gonna just sell it, resale on the car isn't even $1500 but it gets great gas mileage.
First Time Buyer
This was my first car I bought on my own, right after college. At the time it was the perfect car for me. Ive had the car over a year now and its still in excellent condition and Ive put over 22k miles on it. The sound system sounds great and its a smooth and comfortable ride. Just wish the engine was a little faster, doesnt have much of a pick up. Ive now become bored with the car, and wish it was more appealing to an early 20s market.
Dissapointed in the focus
The focus is a reliable car. The only problem is its too small, very stiff ride not to comfortable. I would think with a car of that stature you would get good gas mileage, I dont. I probably get 18 miles to the gallon when on the sticker it said 27, not even close. I cant wait to get ride of this car, I hate the focus
The car is good but the dealer is BAD
The most impressive if fuel economy: I drived 200 miles and only used 5-6 gallon gas with 5 people in the car.
My New Focus
I never thought driving a manual transmission could be some much fun. I like the car being so small outside and yet still roomy on the inside. I got mine in Patriot Blue and just love the brightness of it.
