This is my every day and long distance travel vehicle. Been coast to coast, Florida to Alaska in it. Love it, comfortable, quiet, I will get another some day. Been in lots of remote places with it. No worry. Does mountains with a heavy load. I don't fear Dodge or Chevy going up a long hill. Ford does have the fastest 0-60 time. One new feature I didn't have on the last diesel is a bad fuel warning light on the dashboard. It's simple to drain the water and trash from the fuel before it ever gets to the engine. It saved me a lot of trouble several times.

Purchased my 2004 Ford F-350 Powerstroke Super-duty 6.0 Diesel August 2015 with 159, 248 miles on it. Broke-down on Interstate 80 in 2017 (Catastrophic engine failure), due to IEM issues I learned of later. I never owned a truck and this was my first one. I was clueless to say the least. From 2015-17, each Winter something would go wrong with either injectors or different filters. $7,600 later after replacing Oil Standpipe, Blue Seal and Filters, HPOP, Fan Clutch, Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) reprogrammed, and replacing the Starter with a Summit Heavy-duty Racing Starter, and some other things (cannot remember) we were back on the road. We headed to California and Two injectors went out on the way. I didn’t know it yet, but I was in for a $1,100 surprise. I pulled a 29’ Jayco Jayflight travel trailer up and over the Sierra mountains doing 65-70 MPH. In the Central Valley, after parking at our destination the damn truck wouldn’t start again. The next stay it started and the day after it didn’t. A guy in my Son’s neighborhood checked the codes and stated it was an injector. We had my rig towed to a Mechanic. Two injectors were out. We had the injectors replaced. While in California I learned of a product called ‘Hot Shots Secret’. There are Two; One is a Fuel Additive, and the other is the Stiction Eliminator (Absolutely impressed with these products) boasts to save Thousands in Injector replacement and costs. I purchase it on-line via Walmart*. After we returned back home in our State, and I paid-off that mess. I went ahead and had my rig bulletproofed: APR Head Bolts, Coolant Filter and Bypass, upgraded Head Gasket, Extra Oil Cooler (looks like a mini Radiator installed in front bottom of the Radiator), and the OEM EG Oil Cooler was replaced with the modified EG Oil Cooler (Has Six tubes, like Rifle tubes versus the Three OEM oval tubes with vents that would catch debris, which eventually leads to catastrophic engine failure from the Oil Filter’s felt fibers and other engine impurities). In 2020 I had the EGR Valve replaced, (old one still good, but about time) rather than an EGR delete performed. I am proud to say my rig has not had any issues since the basic rebuild LOL! I am at close to 209, 000 miles on the engine now. We purchased our own Travel Trailer, which only weighs 6,573 pounds. Waiting to see how my rig will perform after all that has been done to it. Note: The Model shown is incorrect. Scroll-down options did not have my Model listed 🤔.

The 2nd one I have had. It searves very well and is best in reliability. It was hard to give up the chevy logo. But lrts face it better is better and holding on to a brand just becouse you dont wont to be proven wrong by the ford guts is only hurting your self. In less things chang in the way Ford does things I will never go back. Better build, Service, and much better resale. what more can I say with 375000 on my last Super-D and it still runs and looks like new. I cant help but wonder who with a fare mind would go with any thing elce.
