It sure doesn't feel like 400 HP...

Its large and roomy, has a huge payload and tow rating, but it sure doesn't feel like it. 400 HP seems elusive. Squishy gas pedal and questionable acceleration unless you are in Sport Mode. Compared to GM counterparts, it also has a lot of wind noise and rides very rough and has a terrible turning radius. On the plus side, extra roomy, an extra inch of ground clearance over GM and that tow rating. Update: The claimed MPG is also as elusive as the 400 HP, averaging around 16 MPG with trips 2/3 on the highway. Cold weather brought that even further down. Before buying one I should have researched more into the known issues with oil consumption and the 10 speed transmission issues. Not sure how this is the best selling truck on the market.

First Truck & first dealer new vehicle in 37 yrs!

Good solid truck. Comfortable ride. Good economy for a V8 (Edmunds needs to update their vehicle details list to include XLT Super Crew 4door, 4WD, short bed, V8). As a first time truck buyer, keep in mind more trims and options reduces bed payload and towing capacity; but that goes with any half ton or one ton truck. Also if you’re focused on towing capacity, pay attention to rear axle ratios, as some have higher towing capacity ratings, but likely at the expense of some fuel economy. Good dealer sales experience. For older folks I highly recommend the integrated tailgate step option; makes it easy to step up and into the bed with the step and handle. Max tow package definitely worth the cost. Sync3 and FordPass are nice cellphone and remote digital features. Backup camera is ok, but the 360 birds eye would be better; however not offered on XL or XLT trims...and Lariat or King Ranch would have busted my price range. Overall, good value, good utility, good features.

3.5 EcoBoost is an incredible tow engine

Model not listed in pull down. 2020 XLT, 3.5 EcoBoost, max tow package, 2WD, Super Crew, lots of bells and whistles, simply an awesome truck. Traded in my Tundra, which was an excellent truck, for my F-150 and not looking back. All 1/2 ton trucks have plusses and minuses but in my opinion, this is the best towing 1/2 ton on the market for 2020 with the 3.5 and max tow package. I did not want a 4WD. I would rather have the 1717 payload capacity and I do not plan to take this truck off road. I had two 4x4 trucks in the past and for all practical purposes never used the 4WD capability. This 3.5 tows my Coachmen 28ft RKS Freedom Express like a champ (7K Max Gross Wt., 5K factory Wt.) Very capable truck for camping with this trailer. You will not be disappointed with this truck.
