Used 2018 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
2018 Platinum has more than I ever imagined
This truck is loaded with features I didn't know existed. The 3.5 L V6 with the Eco boost is hands-down the best pick up truck in the world. Featuring the best highway mileage plus the ability to tow 12,000 lbs with more torque than anything except for a deisel. Its the best of both worlds and a truck for the future.

Love the XLT Sport 302A package
The Sport cloth seats are way better than standard cloth. They have a more repellent type feel which isn't as soft to the touch but better for a truck if you are muddy or have a dog, etc. I didn't want leather. It is plenty comfortable. The 4auto transmission is the only thing I wish I had in the Lariat. I drive a lot of highway miles and it has a nice view and ride. The V8 sounds great, pulls awesome (450ft above sea level) and I am getting 17.5mpg around town and 19.5-21.5 on the highway depending on wind and above or below 70mph and I haven't fully broken it in yet. Wife loves the heated seats. I had to upgrade the radio as it was meh but knew that going in. The ride and ride height is perfect and the seat really holds you well and I am a bigger guy at 6'2" 225lbs. The auto pedals are a must for my leg length. I have the grey so the front fascia matches the truck like a Lariat. If I had another color I would have had to buy the color match front fascia at it is tacky otherwise. The large console is a must for me to carry my computer and equipment. The large flat area in the back when the seats are raised give me more space than my prior SUV. The safety rating and dealer warranty sold me as this will likely be my son's truck in 5 years. The integrated 120V power is great. The only two negatives I can give it are, one, the turning radius is not good. Every normal parking lot I am backing in or having to take two tries at it. The second is that the transmission does hunt or jerk from 25-50mph if you try to feather the gas. It is getting better and the dealership may need to reprogram the transmission. It did sit for 6 months on a dealer lot and had 50 miles of test drive learning to overcome.

Worth checking out!
You can call my review a little biased but I've never owned a bad Ford and that's why I purchased my 2018 ford f150 5.0 with the 10 speed transmission, 4x4, crew cab. The ride is comfortable and it gets great mpg for a 395hp v8! I have the fx4 package so the tires are more aggressive. I've seen it go as high as 21-22 mpg on the highway which it close to what it's rated at. I am sure it'll go up if I switch to more highway oriented tires. I have over 22k miles on it and it's been great. I still get 10 mpg pulling my 20ft cargo trailer which is just as good as my previous 6.0 powerstroke. The transmission is great and most of the time, I don't feel it shift. Once in a while, I'll feel it up shift to 5th but it's no big deal. It has plenty of power and it has more room than I know what to do with. I absolutely love it. I have driven the other manufacturers trucks and I gotta say I see why ford sells almost 1,000,000 of these each year. I will suggest that if you're going to be towing or working your truck often, get the v8. It'll hold up longer than an ecoboost. I've driven the ecoboost and they are quick! I will say that if you value your back, stay away from the tundra. Sure it'll be reliable but the interiors are very cheap and uncomfortable. Toyota is going to be putting 3.5 v6 turbos in future tundras for a reason. It's because ford has done so well with theirs

MY CLUNKER
Lets start with the warped dash least of the problems here we go. Drove 1600 miles used 2 qt of oil. After driving for 10 15 minutes let the truck set for 5 10 minutes start it back up and there's a loud clunk that you can feel in the cab. Transmission problems when coming to a stop the truck lunges forward feels like someone rear ended you also harsh shifting. Engine is also ticking and theres a rattle in the engine compartment. Truck has been in the shop now for a week. Good thing ford has been saying alot of these problems are just normal. Last ford i will own if they dont make it right. Everyone just please do some research before buying the f150 and mustang with the 5.0 engines look on YouTube you will find people are having a lot of problems with these engines.

Perfect for Town and travel.
This version is a really nice around town truck. Running errand, picking up kids, this is a great mom truck. However if you’re pleasure is hauling, off roading or towing, I’d suggest you upgrade. I’m not one to buy more than needed so for me, this truck is perfect. My husband and I like to travel our state in comfort and may have our adult children with us so this truck fits our needs.
