I bought this truck brand new back in April of 2016. This truck has not given me any problems or issues since I’ve gotten it. I’ve taken it on several road trips , many different climates and it has never once failed me. I currently have around 68k miles on it and I’ve only done the necessary maintenance like change tires, brakes , oil and filters. I also have the 2.7 liter engine which has been great and not so bad on gas . At the end of the day it is a truck and I’ve used it to haul heavy items and also used as a family car. No regrets on getting this vehicle what so ever.

We bought this truck used with 156k for 31k it needed the valve covers replaced due them being cracked and leaking ( plastic) $350 dollar fix. After that was replaced we noticed the dual moon roof wouldn’t operate as it should. All in all for a used truck it drives excellent with exceptional power. Gas mileage is about 15 mpg city and 17 hwy. We love the truck.

Do not get the Sunroof!

Let's face it, the F-150 is a phenomenal truck. We love many aspects of it but......we ordered the large sunroof (front and back seat visibility) and rue the day we did. We had the truck garaged for the first three years then had to store it outside. When heavy rains hit last month (a more common event these days) we got puddles in the passenger floor and soaking wet and stained headliner. According to the dealer, the sunroof was not 'seated properly' when the truck was built, which caused the leak. The regular warranty had expired, and we thought the Premium Extended Warranty would cover it. WRONG! Even though the Extended Premium Warranty is still in place they denied the claim. So it cost $700 for the mechanics at the local Ford dealer to try and reseat it, which helped modestly but still leaks. (There was no degradation of the material/seal nor was there any accident or damage causing it...only poor design and poor manufacturing.) To have the sunroof properly fixed the dealer advised that we would have to replace the entire front glass panel of the sunroof as it comes as one piece....the estimated cost? $4,0000!!! And what really tics us off is that we probably have opened it less than a dozen times. SO DO NOT ORDER THE SUNROOF ON FORD F-150's AND READ THE FINE PRINT OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! Shoddy workmanship and engineering abound on this one. Just Google leaky sunroof F-150 and you'll see HUNDREDS of stories posted. Why Ford can't get this right and make it right under extended warranty is beyond me. A real financial disappointment!
